I would like to see these segments ONLY if it wont diminish quality of it. Focus more and getting it to your liking more than needing to get something out for the month. I also enjoyed some of the special edits you did that honestly I wish I knew how to do like the niel messages you did at the bottom to expand on information. Overall I loved this and cant wait to see more. I am admittedly sad that you wont be touching BO4 but Id rather see something done because of passion like this then out of necessity like BO4. Also as one of the 4 extinction fans I loved everything you brought up for lore and introduction of something new to tie things up better.
I feel like once you finish a whole segment (BO1, BO2, BO3 [with chronicles like you said], and Extinction), give us the segment you like the most. whether it be the editing, the everything, yeah.
Not everything please. I really like these small segments but could you release just one from each game until the final project, maybe one from bo2, bo3 and extintion since those are the ones you haven't shown us. But seeing them all just for the final project to be a mashup of the things we have already seen wouldn't be the greatest video that I'm expecting (I'm serious since the beginning of the year my most antecipated project has been The Road Reviewed, even surpassing the bo4 release) So I would ask just one part of each chapter, keep the great work rizzo, I'm really excited for the full thing!
I'd recommend giving BO4 another try. With patches (That should have been there to begin with, but whatever), the game feels much better, but I respect your opinion.

Really loved the tone of this one, georgous presentation that I hope stays thematically based on which map you're talking about. Love the new info and perspective of devs. A question you may want to ask yourself (if you havent already) however is if you want this series to be a correction/redux of the original reviews - or if you want this review series to be a complete standalone. There are pros to both Standalone - allows this long project to be consumed in one setting, can help listeners who havent seen or remember the original reviews. However, could end up increasing the runtime with additional context twofold Correction/building on previous - you can reflect on how your thoughts have changed and spend more time on new topics, however i feel as though not enough info about the map and season was given in order for this segment to stand without the previous review. Just some food for thought :) looking forward to the whole review!

Something I didn't realize until much recently is that even in-canon is that Beast isn't meant to be a sequel to Extinction, but a sort of remake/reimagining of Nightfall, to restart the series, it's still horrendous story-wise and us Extinction fans got the shaft, specially with only 2 quotes from Pointdexter and 1 from Wyler that state this, making it not clear to the average player
That fact is especially funny when you consider that Lee Ross also supposedly wrote for Extinction's dialogue back in the day, or at least he so claims. All that being said, The Beast From Beyond being a Nightfall remake/reimagining sounds like a massive copout in order to cope with the unnecessary retcons that TBFB would have introduce under the guise of "It's not actually overriding the original story, this is just some in-universe shitty rewrite as if that makes it any good in of itself"

loved the video and the new review style, especially the little footnote style captions you have for certain parts of the video. The background footage you use in the video is perfect (imo) with the hidden hud, but I also enjoyed how it sort of felt like a podcast in the way that I felt I could've watched the video for background noise and I still would've enjoyed the video. I can't wait to see the rest of the review, keep it up

I still vote they retcon this having to do with Extinction and bring back that mode. I'd love to see more linear combat maps and survival maps in Extinction. It had potential back in Ghosts, and it still has amazing potential now.
Love the video as always, amazing detail, you always go as far as you can in every little thing. The only thing I would say is that when it comes to cut aways like “Give me a moment to explain!” It feels a bit delayed. Like I don’t know if it’s just me being a bit weird, or it’s genuine, but it feels like there’s just enough of an awkward pause between what you say and the cut away, that it does come off a bit awkward. Otherwise, another 10/10 video!
Loving the mix of professionalism and humour within these reviews, watched every video since the inside Z days and love whatever content you put out, personally I don't mind a long wait for a video if I know its going to be of a high quality, take your time on the road reviewed and ensure its something you enjoy making as much as we will enjoy watching.

I actually think you did a good job with the segment. And you actually had some critical issues and some good points to point out about the map. Instead of last time where it was just flat-out hating on the map. Plus it was nice and refreshing to hear you talk more positively about the map on the road re-review. Hey, seeing that you asked for a little criticism on the video and the new style I'm going to give you a little. I've watched all your previous Zombies videos and really enjoyed them, and I don't want to seem like I'm coming off as insulting. Personally I find constructive criticism to be very helpful! 1:00 I really like these little transitioning slides, it's a good way to keep a video structured 1:15 This is more of a personal thing, but I find these cutaways to be a little distracting. There's almost a lurching feeling that happens with a quick cut like this, for me anyways. I understand using it but personally I'm not a huge fan of this editing style, but you don't use it too much which is good IMO! 1:52 In contrast this cut flows a lot better than the previous one I mentioned and I really liked this one! One thing that I'm really envious of you is how you structure these types of jokes, they're also present in your older videos as well and I think they're killer in your style. 3:45 I can tell that you're editing your cuts to the peaks of your audio track which is a great way to edit, it hides the cuts behind your voice and makes everything flow really well! 5:14 The stringing together of this segment on the SMG is pretty great, again editing cuts with your voice and actually showing the direct things that you're talking about is fantastic! This is always a big thing for me when people do "Commentary/Review" videos only over gameplay is that they'll get lazy and just lazily slap a clip in there that sort of references what they're talking about, but you go through the extra work to actually show exactly what you're talking about. Great work! At this point I don't even think you need my criticism! 6:38 This cut was better than the one I mentioned at 1:15 I feel like the build up to it works better and the cut felt less like a lurch and fits since it's still referencing the actual Boss Fight 7:13 Still liking these transition screens 7:51 - 8:13 This entire segment has great visual editing 11:18 - 11:32 Awesome segment again, there hasn't been that much to write about Script wise and that's because I honestly think it's a killer script. 13:34 - 14:05 This is a very revealing thing about the development of this map and I'm glad you were able to ask him about why Beast was a difficult map. It adds something to this video that you can't get anywhere else 19:09 Ok so I'm done the video and overall I really enjoyed it! I have a couple things regarding the script which could be answered completely by what type of series this is trying to be. There were a lot less comedic elements in this video in comparison to your older Infinite Warfare video, or even your WW2 video. Personally I was a pretty big fan of the Low-Fi filter memes you'd do in those video, but I completely understand if this new series is more "Review" Focused. Other then that, I feel like you touched on pretty much everything! The script was very well written, I didn't hear any repeating words (Which I do all the damn time) there weren't any reiterated points, nothing felt out of place script wise, and the video flowed very well. You are well researched, have a great understanding of the games you're talking about, and I admire your work ethic. If I were to have my Hard Drive crash on me while working on a video of this magnitude I'd have scrapped the entire project, I'm very glad you didn't. To this day many extinction fans are completely unaware of this map. Most thought there wasn’t an extension to the extinction story. I don’t really know why guess it wasn’t very popular
Presentation is very well done my boy. Felt new with different visuals, but still familiar with rizzo charm. 10/10 would beat odd to again. Very excited for the next part, and if you do end up posting little teasers I would definitely watch them.

I love the layout of this map but those stupid cryptids and the clowns, ninjas, AND cryptids all in that one round I hate. I love this map it’s just VERY difficult but fun.

I actually got reminded of some of the other stuff from IW Zombies because of this that I found were pretty decent/good.And I was always wondering what Lee Ross and the team was thinking packing all of the special enemies into later special rounds.Can't wait for TRR Rizzo. Take your time on it.
Ok since you asked for feedback i would happily give some 1: the transition slides are top notch and i hope you do different ones for each maps style and theme, example: multi color for rave in the redwoods. 2: I really like the way you came away from the maps and took a look back and thought wow i was wrong about this part (good critics admit when their wrong but great ones give explanation and why they like it now). 3: And finally i would like to know (out of curiosity) just exactly why you don't like bo4 zombies (if this doesn't bother you to much) could you tell me why i was just wondering what you didn't like about each map If you take the time to read this and reply rizzo i would like to say that you made my day and that it's cool to know that you connect with your fans for feedback on videos (not much youtubers i watch do that) so thank you and good day.

Nice professional feeling, well made review with a touch of that signature rizzo humor. I would personally like to see more than just this as a preview for the road reviewed. Maybe one per game? One for bo1 One for Bo2 One for Bo3 And one for every other game you are having in this review to hold us over and get feedback.

What sucks about this is that Infinite Warfare actaully had the perfect setting to continue Exctition you know with us being in space and all. But Activision has Activision so they'll just stick in Zombies in almost every COD till we're all tired of it. Man I miss Exctition.
Personally I like to believe that they had a larger Cortex aboard the station that had enough range and force to wipe out almost every cryptid and ancient and they flung it into the earths atmosphere and caused an explosion however this sent the station she was on into deep space and killed almost everyone including god father as well. and the reason why zeta wants to take the cryptids home is because the history of what happened to earth 200 years ago and the events of the actual cryptid human war were simply lost to history.
Great video rizzo, very cool Wish i had something to say that other commenters didn't already say better than i can, but as a long time viewer this style of video is leagues beyond some of your older content and i can get a feel of how you've matured as a content creator.

As much as I like the longer videos were you talk about all the maps on one game, in IW's video, you started getting a bit frustrated around Shaolin Shuffle or AOTRT, so this video is pretty nice because you're not frustrated from the other maps, and it's easier to point out the good things of the map, rather than the bad, I feel

Can’t wait for the review besides the jabs at Black Ops 4 as I really like the game but it’s whatever though. Though speaking of Black Ops 4, I personally think all of your work getting erased was a personal attack from Jason Blundell who decided that he didn’t like your opinions of the game and thus used his reality bending powers to manipulate your hard drive into destroying itself.
enderjav99 I don’t personally think so. I think it will turn out like Black Ops 3 where everybody was somewhat positive to what was on disc but the game had a lot of problems like numerous death barriers and crashes, some I’ve seen on videos and some I heard of, to be honest I played BO3 on the 360 until the Christmas of 2015 so I didn’t personally experience all of those problems, and all of the glitches and bugs that were in DLCs. Then, once Treyarch fixed and patches the technical issues and reworked things like SoE’s rituals, many seemed to love BO3 and place it as their favorite zombies game, me included. I think if they can do the same and add some of the things that are coming; callings,seasons,etc; then I think Black Ops 4 will turn out great.
When I heard there were cryptids in the map, my expectations were around 6/10. When I tried TBFB, my initial rating was 3/10. After trying, _really_ trying and *really* hard, to like TBFB I found myself looking at the worst Zombies map in the history of COD Zombies.
I still thought Die Rise was worse tbh, but this map was as hard as the crust after you end up taking a dump in your pants from the sudden teleporting boss zombies
These road-reviewed videos are cool. Always nice to see somebody revisit a map and have their opinions change overtime about certain things (even if the map to me is still pretty bad) I just really hope for 2019, they will bring back Extinction and do a sort-of soft reboot on the thing. Like ret-con the whole Beat From Beyond scenario and say that Cross's shuttle crashed back to Earth and has to fend off every cryptid there on her own or fight her own people along with the cryptids. I think it sucks that you're not doing Black Ops 4's road, because there is so much more in that game that builds up the Primis story more and gives us a new story to follow with the Chaos crew. I get you might not like the changes of the Multiplayer and Zombies (which I can understand to an extent), but my advice is to wait a while like you did with this map and re-visit the BO4 ones with a fresh mind and see if your opinions have in anyway altered. I know that's weird since that would be like a road re-viewed video except this is your first review on the maps, but what'ya gonna do?
I'm liking the revamped presentation; if the final video keeps this same level of quality in writing and editing, I don't believe I would have any criticisms. Also, I still enjoy seeing the fake challenge pop-ups.

I must admit I only ever played ZiS, and didn't really like it, so I didn't buy the DLC, but even though you are still fairly critical of this map, I really want to revisit IW zombies and maybe even buy the dlc. Loved this new style btw.
Great video Rizzo. I recently revisited IW zombies and 100% agree with the points you make in this video (except for you hinting at the BO4 perk system being bad). TBfB, to me, is simultaneously the most frustrating and engaging map I've ever played. I just know it could've been something really special if they had just been given more time (and possibly money). Also you didn't mention this in your review, but 3 out of the 4 characters barely have any new general gameplay quotes. (AJ being the only one with new general gameplay quotes) Anyways, I love these long form reviews you do and I really don't mind waiting if that means the quality is gonna be on the same level as the TBfB review. Keep up the great work!

loved the video and the new review style, especially the little footnote style captions you have for certain parts of the video. The background footage you use in the video is perfect (imo) with the hidden hud, but I also enjoyed how it sort of felt like a podcast in the way that I felt I could've watched the video for background noise and I still would've enjoyed the video. I can't wait to see the rest of the review, keep it up

I still vote they retcon this having to do with Extinction and bring back that mode. I'd love to see more linear combat maps and survival maps in Extinction. It had potential back in Ghosts, and it still has amazing potential now.
Love the video as always, amazing detail, you always go as far as you can in every little thing. The only thing I would say is that when it comes to cut aways like “Give me a moment to explain!” It feels a bit delayed. Like I don’t know if it’s just me being a bit weird, or it’s genuine, but it feels like there’s just enough of an awkward pause between what you say and the cut away, that it does come off a bit awkward. Otherwise, another 10/10 video!
Loving the mix of professionalism and humour within these reviews, watched every video since the inside Z days and love whatever content you put out, personally I don't mind a long wait for a video if I know its going to be of a high quality, take your time on the road reviewed and ensure its something you enjoy making as much as we will enjoy watching.

I've watched all your previous Zombies videos and really enjoyed them, and I don't want to seem like I'm coming off as insulting. Personally I find constructive criticism to be very helpful!
1:00 I really like these little transitioning slides, it's a good way to keep a video structured
1:15 This is more of a personal thing, but I find these cutaways to be a little distracting. There's almost a lurching feeling that happens with a quick cut like this, for me anyways. I understand using it but personally I'm not a huge fan of this editing style, but you don't use it too much which is good IMO!
1:52 In contrast this cut flows a lot better than the previous one I mentioned and I really liked this one! One thing that I'm really envious of you is how you structure these types of jokes, they're also present in your older videos as well and I think they're killer in your style.
3:45 I can tell that you're editing your cuts to the peaks of your audio track which is a great way to edit, it hides the cuts behind your voice and makes everything flow really well!
5:14 The stringing together of this segment on the SMG is pretty great, again editing cuts with your voice and actually showing the direct things that you're talking about is fantastic! This is always a big thing for me when people do "Commentary/Review" videos only over gameplay is that they'll get lazy and just lazily slap a clip in there that sort of references what they're talking about, but you go through the extra work to actually show exactly what you're talking about. Great work! At this point I don't even think you need my criticism!
6:38 This cut was better than the one I mentioned at 1:15 I feel like the build up to it works better and the cut felt less like a lurch and fits since it's still referencing the actual Boss Fight
7:13 Still liking these transition screens
7:51 - 8:13 This entire segment has great visual editing
11:18 - 11:32 Awesome segment again, there hasn't been that much to write about Script wise and that's because I honestly think it's a killer script.
13:34 - 14:05 This is a very revealing thing about the development of this map and I'm glad you were able to ask him about why Beast was a difficult map. It adds something to this video that you can't get anywhere else
19:09 Ok so I'm done the video and overall I really enjoyed it! I have a couple things regarding the script which could be answered completely by what type of series this is trying to be. There were a lot less comedic elements in this video in comparison to your older Infinite Warfare video, or even your WW2 video. Personally I was a pretty big fan of the Low-Fi filter memes you'd do in those video, but I completely understand if this new series is more "Review" Focused. Other then that, I feel like you touched on pretty much everything! The script was very well written, I didn't hear any repeating words (Which I do all the damn time) there weren't any reiterated points, nothing felt out of place script wise, and the video flowed very well.
You are well researched, have a great understanding of the games you're talking about, and I admire your work ethic. If I were to have my Hard Drive crash on me while working on a video of this magnitude I'd have scrapped the entire project, I'm very glad you didn't.

To this day many extinction fans are completely unaware of this map. Most thought there wasn’t an extension to the extinction story. I don’t really know why guess it wasn’t very popular
Presentation is very well done my boy. Felt new with different visuals, but still familiar with rizzo charm. 10/10 would beat odd to again. Very excited for the next part, and if you do end up posting little teasers I would definitely watch them.

1: the transition slides are top notch and i hope you do different ones for each maps style and theme, example: multi color for rave in the redwoods.
2: I really like the way you came away from the maps and took a look back and thought wow i was wrong about this part (good critics admit when their wrong but great ones give explanation and why they like it now).
3: And finally i would like to know (out of curiosity) just exactly why you don't like bo4 zombies (if this doesn't bother you to much) could you tell me why i was just wondering what you didn't like about each map

What sucks about this is that Infinite Warfare actaully had the perfect setting to continue Exctition you know with us being in space and all. But Activision has Activision so they'll just stick in Zombies in almost every COD till we're all tired of it. Man I miss Exctition.

Personally I like to believe that they had a larger Cortex aboard the station that had enough range and force to wipe out almost every cryptid and ancient and they flung it into the earths atmosphere and caused an explosion however this sent the station she was on into deep space and killed almost everyone including god father as well. and the reason why zeta wants to take the cryptids home is because the history of what happened to earth 200 years ago and the events of the actual cryptid human war were simply lost to history.

As much as I like the longer videos were you talk about all the maps on one game, in IW's video, you started getting a bit frustrated around Shaolin Shuffle or AOTRT, so this video is pretty nice because you're not frustrated from the other maps, and it's easier to point out the good things of the map, rather than the bad, I feel

Can’t wait for the review besides the jabs at Black Ops 4 as I really like the game but it’s whatever though. Though speaking of Black Ops 4, I personally think all of your work getting erased was a personal attack from Jason Blundell who decided that he didn’t like your opinions of the game and thus used his reality bending powers to manipulate your hard drive into destroying itself.

enderjav99 I don’t personally think so. I think it will turn out like Black Ops 3 where everybody was somewhat positive to what was on disc but the game had a lot of problems like numerous death barriers and crashes, some I’ve seen on videos and some I heard of, to be honest I played BO3 on the 360 until the Christmas of 2015 so I didn’t personally experience all of those problems, and all of the glitches and bugs that were in DLCs. Then, once Treyarch fixed and patches the technical issues and reworked things like SoE’s rituals, many seemed to love BO3 and place it as their favorite zombies game, me included. I think if they can do the same and add some of the things that are coming; callings,seasons,etc; then I think Black Ops 4 will turn out great.

When I heard there were cryptids in the map, my expectations were around 6/10.
When I tried TBFB, my initial rating was 3/10.
After trying, _really_ trying and *really* hard, to like TBFB I found myself looking at the worst Zombies map in the history of COD Zombies.
I still thought Die Rise was worse tbh, but this map was as hard as the crust after you end up taking a dump in your pants from the sudden teleporting boss zombies
These road-reviewed videos are cool. Always nice to see somebody revisit a map and have their opinions change overtime about certain things (even if the map to me is still pretty bad)
I just really hope for 2019, they will bring back Extinction and do a sort-of soft reboot on the thing. Like ret-con the whole Beat From Beyond scenario and say that Cross's shuttle crashed back to Earth and has to fend off every cryptid there on her own or fight her own people along with the cryptids.
I think it sucks that you're not doing Black Ops 4's road, because there is so much more in that game that builds up the Primis story more and gives us a new story to follow with the Chaos crew. I get you might not like the changes of the Multiplayer and Zombies (which I can understand to an extent), but my advice is to wait a while like you did with this map and re-visit the BO4 ones with a fresh mind and see if your opinions have in anyway altered. I know that's weird since that would be like a road re-viewed video except this is your first review on the maps, but what'ya gonna do?
I don't know how that can affect Zombies. I get they might have some slow downs overtime, but it ain't over

I must admit I only ever played ZiS, and didn't really like it, so I didn't buy the DLC, but even though you are still fairly critical of this map, I really want to revisit IW zombies and maybe even buy the dlc. Loved this new style btw.
Great video Rizzo. I recently revisited IW zombies and 100% agree with the points you make in this video (except for you hinting at the BO4 perk system being bad). TBfB, to me, is simultaneously the most frustrating and engaging map I've ever played. I just know it could've been something really special if they had just been given more time (and possibly money). Also you didn't mention this in your review, but 3 out of the 4 characters barely have any new general gameplay quotes. (AJ being the only one with new general gameplay quotes) Anyways, I love these long form reviews you do and I really don't mind waiting if that means the quality is gonna be on the same level as the TBfB review. Keep up the great work!
