You are a Genius never seen a folding bike the battery removal and replace in that type of technique nice 👍🏾🚗👌🏽
This seems like a must-have mod, I'm seriously considering it once I've had my lectric for a while. Still working on breaking mine in. Great work!
There's no going back for me!
Yes! What we have all been waiting for ! 👍🏼
I think your ready for Saturday now. Now you can enjoy the cool breeze instead of 💀
Awesome video Griz. Your putting a lot of stress on your front forks. Hope they don’t break. Might want to mod those too. Possibly with some heavier ones with some shocks.
Cool !! thanks, I roll my bike right inside the store and use it as my cart. Dollar tree wont let me tho.. Wally does. Your upgrade is so cool !!
Nice! You're gonna need some hydraulic brakes now - and that battery change was slick.
I'm surprised you didn't fly away with that seat. 😄
Your bike deserves a name now 💪🏽
Just got to the part where you named it 😂
He called it torque monster
You got up to 28 MPH fast AF, very nice!
Look like you were having fun. Please be safe...brother.
Thanks for the tip on folding the bike, that’s very helpful.
I agree
"Remember that time I spent $40 on McDonald's?" Lmfao baby gotta lay off the fries.
I kept my comments in my head and off camera when she said it 🤣🤣
Lol straight feel like GTA
@@urbangrizzly3709 Have you thought about getting one of those big headlights like on the juiced Scorpion? I have the xo step thru but my electric skills suck
@@gothamghostrider4634 I need one, night rides tear my bike up with all the potholes and limited vision.
@@urbangrizzly3709 keep the videos coming. I'm going to get some one good with electric shit and I'm going to put on the rad runner premium headlight on my xp step thru.
Yo I've been waiting on this video, good looking. Waiting on my kit from ebay now. My bike shop said they can put it together for me. Keep putting out good content Bro. Much respect from Chicago. 🤝🏿💪🏿
The bike is going to feel brand new! Killing a lot of expensive Ebikes for the low. 👊🏾
@@urbangrizzly3709 The Black Mamba ! RIP Kobe
Awesome job Grizz. Not only have you figured out what ebikes are missing (tork) but you have found out how to upgrade your bike without spending thousands on a new one. One of my number 1 complaints with speed restricted ebikes is that we don’t have enough power at the start when lights change. Cars have no mercy on us and sometimes you have to scoot around or past a car real quick so we don’t get hit. That power actually makes it safer. Great job my friend. Keep educating us. Ride on...✊ 🚵♀️
Exactly! The goal was to get premium Ebike performance on a budget. I notice cars are more cautious around me now. My stock battery lasts a whole lot longer now with the new setup 👍🏽👊🏾.
What a sleeper. Gonna surprise them LAesk8 boys!
Thanks for the tutorial on putting in the battery a certain way lol everybody been breaking their back or breaking batteries . Did you oil the joint in the frame for it to move so easily though ? Cause mine doesn’t split with ease like yours did
Cool mod, and I though I couldn't see the screens because of the sun, I know you got the stock XP 0 to 20 time of 10.8 seconds beat!
You can run both motors off one throttle, or go with a thumb throttle on the other side. Brake cutoffs can be split as well. For the PAS, you can add the sensor and magnet wheel to the other side of the crank, and program the controller to know it's reverse rotation, but that depends on the controller.
That's something to look into, I was wondering how I could install another PAS, I'll look that up. 👍🏽
Hey now... Top notch Sir! looking at this for my XP, will wait for your testing, looks like a great idea!
THANK YOU MY BROTHER I CANT WAIT TO GET MINE,,,AND DO THE UP GRADE AS WELL,,,REAL NICE ..YA YA
I was thinking about upgrading the rear hub motor to a 1500w but keep the battery the same lol this works too tho. Good stuff 😂
Brother can you turn the camera angle up please? Looking at the ground all the time isn't quite as fun. Kind of like going for a ride with blindfolds on. Thanks man. UPDATE:. U just did.. 😁
That method of putting a battery in a folding bike is hands-down the smartest shit that I’ve ever seen in my life
See a lot of people struggling with it. This is the easiest way 👍🏾
Got to get that whole set daaaaamn. That shit look good. Slice from North philly. That a beast
👊🏾
Love the intro music !!
Damn bro. That xp hit 28mph in 8 sec.Great job Griz with the mod.Still rolling my stock xp.
Grizzly good stuff. The next test is to ride with that group of guys...you rode with doing that circuit. I ride up a super steep hill here in Baltimore once in while my bike struggles a bite, but it doesn't give up. Plus, I like the exercise. Still, this mod is amazing. Still, can bring myself to change my stock Lectric...least not yet.
Also, think you are correct...your brakes may need an upgrade too...
with the added power. I do also have a similar alarm system.
That video is definitely coming 👍🏽.
Oh it's that easy opening, God Bless
Man if one of those car doors open that would be a hard stop
I have a mid drive Lectric XPremium, ever hear of anybody adding a front hub motor to a mid drive? Seem like it would work maybe. It might need to be in the right gear in the rear to match the front. That hill climb rocked!
Nice job. I have a few questions. Does the right throttle power both motors? How much do you weigh? I weigh 250 and have had difficulty on long steep hills.
I added another throttle since this video, on the left and right handlebar, one for each hub motor they operate independent of each other.
I’m around 220lbs and steep hills were a problem. Before the mod.
This is so cool. I can't ride my bike because of the east coast snow storms. Great modifications to the XP but stay safe on the road. Its not all about speed and power. Can't wait to see you in the next GTA video game. If you had the electric shopping cart you wouldn't need the XP to buy groceries. Peace.
Any way you can link me a video to the electric shopping cart, im seeing different things, I wanna see what you're talking about.
(Not complaining- but) Still waiting on my Lectric XP (7 weeks now)
My complaint is that after 6 weeks of waiting- I was told that for another $100- I could have gotten the 2.0. I called and asked if I could pay for the upgrade ($100) to get the shocks, wider handle bars, etc... They told me - yes, but it will take at least "another" 6 weeks to ship (I have been eagerly waiting to get this bike with great anticipation). My complaint- I have been subscribed directly to the Lectric RUclips and email for nearly a year- and this is the first that i've EVER heard about the 2.0! I had I have known "before I ordered- I would have gotten the 2.0 instead! I mean- only $100 more! Just feel a little irritated is all- like I lost my window because I was not informed! I suppose that I could wait for another two months to get the bike that I ordered 7 weeks ago, but then I will have lost most of my summer riding!!! 😠
That sucks, back when I ordered mines it was a 5 week wait and that was a long wait for me but it was worth it. I like the xp, If you're anything like me you'll just end up customizing the bike to your liking anyway.
Keep up the good work Mr Grizz
Hey Grizz, before I pull the trigger on this kit, do you have any new advice like perhaps an even more powerful kit and what else you have done like 2 throttles still, which is fine with me as I want easy wiring. Is it all press and play or is there any splicing involved? Thanks for all you do especially frustrated XP riders.
This kit was my best option for the price/ power I needed. Its mostly plug and play. I do have 2 throttles connected now, one for each motor.
Looking forward to seeing the next group ride.
You then opened a new can of whoop ass with this one.
Bruh - I had to laugh when you hit that bike alarm! I'm gonna get on too doe.😂
So on average I get about 30 to 40 miles a charge. In your opinion how much distance would you say this could possibly increase? I'm trying to avoid carrying a extra battery. I gotta hand it to you I'm on the fence now since a new battery is only a little cheaper than this type of upgrade. You got a new sub today dude.
I did this mod mainly for torque and steep hills but the extra range is a bonus. I get around 60 miles if I'm not too aggressive with my riding style👍🏾.
Nice
Now with all your upgrades done and ones you want to do -- if you were to start over, would you get the same bike or just drop the extra cash now for the extras right away built in already.
Cheers
Who makes a folder that has comparable specs to this modded one? No one. Even a stock XP will beat the competition.
Brother man you got to be careful, someone pops one of those doors open on those cars you're flying by and it's going to be a bad day.
You're 💯 right, happened to me on my motorcycle.
How did you get the motors to work simultaneously with the new throttle?
Throttle and peddle assist at the same time.
Really nice upgrade....
Nice video & upgrade. I noticed the brakes squeaking alot. Did you upgrade to hydraulic brakes? Just wondering. I upgraded my gearset and installed hydraulic brakes and there's no squeaking at all and seems a bit smoother. Thanks for posting your video!
Just got my hydraulic brakes in, gonna install them soon. Good to know that the squeaking will be gone.
Can't wait to see you deal with the LAESK8 run.
Have you figured out the brake squeal yet?
Does this mod extend the distance you can go and if so by how far? I have an XP but I need it to go farther.
Twice the range
@@urbangrizzly3709 Yep. I'm mos def doing this.
Do you know if that front hub motor is like a direct drive motor?
That shit be tight man. About to get one here soon once that stimulus comes in 😂
Are you thinking about upgrading the handlebars to like maybe a BMX style something more aggressive? I've been considering changing the handlebars on my XP. When I get above 20 mph feels a little sketchy with the scooter style handlebars. This mod you did is awesome!
I considered it awhile back, but I like how compact the bike is with the Giraffe neck handle bars. It's easier to throw it in my car, train or bus.
@@urbangrizzly3709 I just went with some wider bars with a little more rise. Folds just the same.
Teach em bro, teach em😎
I hope no one opens a door in one of those parked cars.
Hahaha!!! Stir fry your brakes!!! Good one!! I would like to put a front hub motor on my Rad Runner.
Go ahead and build that sleeper Rad!
Brotha are you in Pinol or Antioch or Alameda? Thx
Pacoima, at the time of this video.
@@urbangrizzly3709 Oh Pacoima San Fernando Valle Los Angeles got ya. It kinda looks like parts of the Bay Area a little thx.
You got NOS now lol!
Great vid sir I might have to upgrade my lectric bike
Sweet
How did you switch the throttle to thumb. Is it a straight plug or do I need to splice the wires to connect the new thumb throttle
I’m still rocking the twist throttle. Haven’t found a compatible thumb throttle yet.
@@urbangrizzly3709 okay good looking let me know when u do, I guess right now just let it hang. Pause ⏸
Great video! I love your bike look 😀
Yo where did u get that front motor?
I left links to the kit and battery in the description 👍🏽.
can you do a range test with the throttle only front hub mod?
I should, I will say that I got about 25 miles from the front motor on a full charge.
i have a swagtron 350 watts motor with a 48.13 ah and it goes 27 males and hour only trutle
Good Video!!
I'm gonna need your full name to get that life insurance policy on your ass! Lol. That kit link isnt good anymore, you got another suggestions? Awesome video man
the fat chola chick in the back ground at 7:15 XDD
I wanna do this but with a double crown suspension fork
Impressive mod. That thing covers a lot of ground quick now. Yes you are going to fry those brakes for sure now.
For sure, I'm gonna be looking at new brake options, I've had to adjust my brakes twice already and it's only been 2 weeks.
You good out there in Htown?
@@urbangrizzly3709 it's been pretty rough this week but luckily I've been able to crash at a friend's place who has had power a little more than half this week which is more than a lot of folks.
@@StrillLife I been paying attention to what's going on out there man its getting kinda crazy, we bought 2 water distillers last year just incase some weird things started happening out here. Be easy bro!
@@urbangrizzly3709 thanks man. I wish our state gov would get their stuff together. But that's a whole other topic of discussion. Appreciate the concern.
Your bike got so much acceleration 🤯
Feels good to know you don't have to drop Hella coins to get better performance 👊🏾.
Wish you could do this mod for the 2.0
DANG! that's a nice mod!
Man you about to have me buy that mod too bro you know I gotta do something with my xp now that thing fast as hell now bro lol sleeper xp
It was either this mod, or drop $3500+ on the bike I was looking at. I think I'm good for a while after doing this.👊🏾
@@urbangrizzly3709 yea you was gone on that thing lol
yooooo what's God I just bought one white doe trying to make it go fast and last long
Beast mode
I have a 48 v 11 ah 500 w rear motor foldable elux sierra ebike very similar to urs what can I do to upgrade it to a beast without much money
This mod will work with that bike too, cost me just under $500 for the kit and battery
You’re scaring me. Perhaps some hydraulic brakes.
Definitely looking at some new brake options.
@@urbangrizzly3709 And maybe some way to cut off motor for front hub when using the brakes.
Freaking Awesome!!!!
is the 28 mph gps?
I see some upgrade brakes in ur future. 👍✌
For sure!
How you get the to moters working off the one throttle plz help brother
If you turn peddle assist on the rear motor engages when you peddle. Throttle operates the front motor.
For all the "improvements" you've made perhaps you should have invested in a 750W Flat Tire bike. Also consider the Down time you and your experienced
Investing in the dual motor setup was a much better option, twice the torque and only $1500 invested. 750w bikes get left in the dust now. Installation was only 2 hours.
Thinking of doing this to mine. But ima add the new battery to the front so my girl can sit in the back
That's pretty convenient, actually.
Sure injury ! The wifey told you go get me some ice cream and pads before I go off in this bi..h. Been there and was on a bike in 1985 lol she had just had the baby and my car wasn’t working! Your lucky they were in a bag 4 times bigger! Lol
😆😆
Thanks for showing hacks on ebike.been grizzly too
👍🏽👊🏾
💯
Shit u live in gta 5? U must live in LA, don't mind me you still sounded like you put alot of effort for pedaling up
Ebike riders need to stay OFF the sidewalks at High speeds. Most civilized cities have bike lanes and paths
Sub'd
Don’t you know that it is against the law to ride against the traffic.
Yu mean gut injury?😂😂😂😂
For the price all these bikes are not worth the price, Himiway Cruiser right out of the box does 35mph with Pedal assist on level 5 for $1500...and it doesn’t have nylon gears...fake news
I just hit 35 today and it took lot of peddling and downhill. I have a CSC 750 and these can not just simply hit 35 like you say.I am also an exmountainbiker and had to pedal very hard to get that.I my bike also weighs 57 lbs with a real 750 bafang--1600 dollars.I have a 1000 watt front hub coming for some mre torque because I trail ride.BTW CSC is an american company--got the bike to me within a wekk--free shipping--and they man the phones 9 to 5 in a brick and mortar.
@@khronin himiway 35 pedaling 26 inch wheels make it faster, there’s videos out there to see
@@ghoul114 does not go 35 only on pedal assist 5 downhill and a high gear with lots of pedaling if anything
