I'm an exjw, been out for awhile. I encountered a JW bible study, the other day at a local coffee shop. I couldn't help but overhear their conversation. I said, excuse me, I was addressing the non JW woman. I said to her, ask this JW woman what happens to you if you become a JW, and then a few years later you decide to leave, or change religions? The JW woman started looking really nervous. I say to JW woman, why don't you answer? What are you hiding? The non JW is looking at me, as if to say, what's going on... I write my cell# on a napkin, hand it to her, and say call me. Long story short, I saved her from a world of grief. It's no wonder that Watchtower is now baptizing 8 yr olds. They can't convert any new ones, so they get new recruits from within.

All the CSA cases they thought they could sweep under the rug and all the predators they thought they could protect, they completely skip the due process of bringing these crimes to the attention of the authorities and this is what is biting them in the ass and rightfully so. WT aren't the only organisation who thinks this way and a lot of independently rich people think this way too. The bubble only lasts so long.

This is a cousin on my mom’s side. I’m related to Philip Brumley and went to Bethel several times. My mom (still indoctrinated) has a pic of me sitting with him at his desk in the legal department. I have memories of thinking highly of him because of his standing in the organization. Now I just laugh. Great, I came from a long line of bs spitting people. 😂 Thank god my child will never be exposed to these people and their outright lies.
It was such a shock to me when I started to attend a real church. They are so involved in foster care and helping others. They fund an orphanage, send out missionaries, support the widows in our area, etc... and not just the ones who believe like they do! Growing up a JW, I thought we were just the best, most giving, honest people. Turns out we were a bunch of lying selfish jerks
@Nomen Monniker I ended up apologizing to several ex JWs on RUclips. I felt like such a jerk. Waking up was painful, though, and the process was hard. I said some really disrespectful things. Having the ex jws be so kind and respectful in their responses to me really helped me wake up faster, praise Jesus! Finding out that your whole life has been a lie (and the life's of my whole family for 4 generations) was devastating. It gives me so much joy every time I hear about someone waking up

I knew a young woman who went to a evangelical church, waited until marriage to be intimate with her husband, didn't do drugs or drink, went on mission trips etc... I had this crazy thought one day "why would God kill her when all she did was use the wrong name for Him?". That was the start and I literally felt a veil lift from my eyes. It was like seeing light for the first time. It burned but I couldn't get enough. I read through the whole Bible and all I could think was, "it's all Jesus! The whole book is about Jesus"🙏😊
Actually, the person who tells lies is called a liar. Notice the "ar" in liar. Nor all English words have the verb suffix "er" in them. Some, particularly those derived from Latin have "or" at the end. For example, the word "creator",. Or the word "protector.
I stopped going a while ago. I grew up in it. My family are members, but I had questions, and it seems like they don't care if you have other things going on. They just want you to attend the meetings. I also don't know why they don't help anyone outside of "THE TRUTH" like some of the churches do. No food giveaways, no help with shelter, nothing unless you're affiliated with the witnesses.
I had all of the same questions! Also, why is it that JWs go to churches to get food donations because their own religion does not provide them with ANY food assistance?? That is a HUGE red flag because Watchtower has no problem taking their poor members $$$$!!
Exactly, and Jesus said to help the poor, the orphans and widows. They barely take care of their own, and what help they do give comes from individual JW's, not donated funds from the congregations.

May I elaborate, once an attorney enters the Court, the Court respects the attorney as an officer of the Court, thus there is a term called "candor to the tribunal" meaning they always have to defend with truth and facts, and Brumley the guy that got his law school paid for by Jehovah's Witnesses did not do that and he got caught.

I've been out for over thirty years. I left because I couldn't breathe. Unfortunately I continued to attract dysfunction into my life. I 💯, put the responsibility of why my life took the path it did, to not only my parents for allowing the WT to tell them how to raise their children, but the WT themselves. I have nothing but myself and personal belongings. I'm a paycheck away from a cardboard box. Ive had nothing but narcissistic abusive relationships of every kind. Always thinking that I deserved it. And believing if only I did more, gave more, I'd get loved in return. Instead of pursuing my dreams , making myself financially secure, I gave everything I had to give, away ... I have layers upon layers of complex PTSD . I have no bank accounts, nothing for retirement. No home, no investments. And less than 15 years before I am 65. The damage that was done to my emotional and mental development as a child, has trickled down to my own children. The damage has been done. And for what? A business, posing as a religion, that uses mind control manipulation, not to empower people, not to strengthen them to be productive, well balanced, healthy emotionally , mentally.. but to break them into submission, to break their spirit, so that they will continue to work as slaves, lining the pockets of the WT.
It's awful the damage that's been done, and continues to be done. When you got out, 30 years ago, there was no support for us. We travelled alone, and many still are. I am so happy that there is now such a wide community of ExJW. People who have found each other at last, and are blazing a light for those yet to escape. No wonder the Borg were so desperate to keep JWs off the internet. Probably the only good thing to come from Covid is that JWs had to have and use technology. Both old and young have access to so much support and information, the moment they get brave enough to look. I hope things get better for you, and that you can also find the right help and support. The best thing for me is finally not feeling alone.
I've been struggling to heal the layers of trauma the past 10 or so years , since I started to look into the JWs. It was as if I had just left, but for different reasons this time. I guess you could say that I was pomi for most my life. But not necessarily still believing the teachings. The only thing that really stayed with me, and that I still struggle with, is being good enough. And being worthy . That's the real mind f'erery I think most born -ins deal with. I started a channel did several videos, telling my story, from a broken, & very hurt , feeling of betrayal state of emotion. 5 years ago. I stopped bc, my life took a turn, of chaos, being homeless, no money, etc. During COVID, I was trying to heal, make sense , and recover from the year or so upheaval, during those two years, it still was difficult, to end up homeless again, new friendships, neighbors, & landlords seem to turn their backs, being hateful towards us for seemingly no reason. I've always been in isolation, never made strong friend bonds with anyone. Even to this day. So losing people I barely had to begin with wasn't too difficult to recover from. It's the stability that's been dificult. It's the connections I had made in the exjw community that helped me to stay sane. Until recently, my accounts have all been hacked, all I have kept is RUclips. And the communication isn't as personal. I suspect who is behind the hacking, since the hacking began when I started my RUclips channel.. #1 tactic is shunning, and isolation. But guess what, I've learned to adapt. And I enjoy being alone. It's where I find peace.

I find it hard to relate to those just coming out, since I'm still, trying to heal, making sense of where I've been to where I am now and what the future holds. It's all good though.eventually I know I'll be in a state where I can help others. Surely I don't wish for anyone to struggle in toxicity the way I have all these years. Having the sense that you are in control, when all along the programming from childhood still had ultimate control.

I live in Billings, MT. This Montana court case is from Hardin, MT and placed in Billings, MT court system. I knew many of the defendants. It is a vile case. We want it to go to trial. I was born in JW's and have been out quite a while now. I grew up with many of the defendants. I am shocked and really want this to go to trial and not get settled out of court. JW's in this area really need to be made aware of this horrible problem. This is a huge case. Montana has a huge problem with CSA cases.

Head of Watchtower's legal department has to pay the court. Watchtower pays Head of legal department. Rank and file pays Watchtower, which in turn pays Head of legal department. Rank and file are the ones ultimately paying. No skin off his back.
A few years ago, WT was willing to pay court fines of $4,000 a day for two and a half years just to avoid complying with court orders. $150,000 is nothing. WT is probably laughing at how easily they got by on this one. No worries, though. WT will just continue fleecing JWs to pay for it.

Every exJW activist plays an important roll and brings something unique to the exJW community. I admire your humility and absolutely love how you combine humor, knowledge and critical thinking in exposing WT for what they really are. You are most definitely right that WT is narcissistic and people that have had narcissistic abusive relationships generally tend to have low self worth/esteem and can be self depreciating. I grew up hearing my mom talk about herself as being less than, stupid or a dummy. I remember sitting at meetings where the brother giving the talk says how we are just lowly imperfect sinful humans that are here only by the grace and mercy of Jehovah. I couldn't ever take pride in something I accomplished because "being prideful is a sin and all glory goes to Jehovah not to us". I still have issues I'm working through even after leaving 20+ years ago and have made a conscious effort to change my self talk to be more positive and kind. I may have never been a JW but I support the brave ones who have escaped this tyrannical cult. I watch and listen to several Ex-JW channels. I do it because I want to educate myself about what happens inside this cult. When I was a kid their was Kingdom literally next door to where I lived (I'm in the UK). Every Sunday the car park would be be packed, at the time I knew nothing about them. Now I do and it's scary just how they control and threaten members so they don't leave. If The elders who were thrown under the bus, so to speak, were called back to serve the Watchtower Society's Governing Body, I would encourage the elders to tell the Watchtower Society to get lost. After being treated that way, those elders should say a firm, blunt, and resounding "NO" to that Body of hypocrites.
My first encounter with the JWs was on my parent’s farm in rural Nebraska about the year 1980. I was a teenager back then. This older man (who is now probably deceased) was trying to explain to me why the Watch Tower was correct about the Bible. He was distributing their literature. We were already a Christian family who regularly attended an Evangelical church. I remember discussing Luke 16:24 with this man, which he insisted was only a parable…. I said, Fine, but what is the meaning of the parable (although there was no textual evidence it was a parable)? This man, a faithful JW of advanced years, could not answer my question! Since then I have simply added to my knowledge of the false prophecies, false doctrine, and false claims of the Watch Tower. 😊

They will go to any length to not admit they were wrong and to not have to pay monetary sanctions, even saying they don't exist in Montana. I wish we could tell all JW's this and prove it by this letter.
So Watchtower has to pay plaintiff’s attorney fees. Big deal. The lawyers intentionally and repeatedly lied to the court. Why aren’t they subject to sanctions, like getting their law licenses suspended, at least temporarily? They won’t stop until it affects them personally.
You are right. The only thing that may jar and jolt the Watchtower Society to its senses is to bankrupt them with big fines for perjury and with many expensive lawsuits for covering up cases of alleged sexual abuse against children in their own ranks. Of course, I could be wrong, but that is how I feel

As you know my mom is an active JW, she went out in field service today ugh. She just got back from Florida, I've been watching her house, yesterday she had Internet installed again and the guy saw her watchtower books and said hey you're a JW, I fell out of the truth for a while but I'm working my way back. He even helped her install JW library on her tablet. She was so happy and proud and told me the story and I was like uhhh ok mom that's great. I know it would make her so happy if I went to meetings but I'm df'd so it would still be pretty awkward. Weird world we occupy affiliated at all with JWs.

I've been out for over thirty years. I left because I couldn't breathe. Unfortunately I continued to attract dysfunction into my life. I 💯, put the responsibility of why my life took the path it did, to not only my parents for allowing the WT to tell them how to raise their children, but the WT themselves. I have nothing but myself and personal belongings. I'm a paycheck away from a cardboard box. Ive had nothing but narcissistic abusive relationships of every kind. Always thinking that I deserved it. And believing if only I did more, gave more, I'd get loved in return. Instead of pursuing my dreams , making myself financially secure, I gave everything I had to give, away ... I have layers upon layers of complex PTSD . I have no bank accounts, nothing for retirement. No home, no investments. And less than 15 years before I am 65. The damage that was done to my emotional and mental development as a child, has trickled down to my own children. The damage has been done. And for what? A business, posing as a religion, that uses mind control manipulation, not to empower people, not to strengthen them to be productive, well balanced, healthy emotionally , mentally.. but to break them into submission, to break their spirit, so that they will continue to work as slaves, lining the pockets of the WT.
It's awful the damage that's been done, and continues to be done.
When you got out, 30 years ago, there was no support for us. We travelled alone, and many still are.
I am so happy that there is now such a wide community of ExJW. People who have found each other at last, and are blazing a light for those yet to escape.
No wonder the Borg were so desperate to keep JWs off the internet.
Probably the only good thing to come from Covid is that JWs had to have and use technology. Both old and young have access to so much support and information, the moment they get brave enough to look.

I've been struggling to heal the layers of trauma the past 10 or so years , since I started to look into the JWs. It was as if I had just left, but for different reasons this time. I guess you could say that I was pomi for most my life. But not necessarily still believing the teachings. The only thing that really stayed with me, and that I still struggle with, is being good enough. And being worthy . That's the real mind f'erery I think most born -ins deal with. I started a channel did several videos, telling my story, from a broken, & very hurt , feeling of betrayal state of emotion. 5 years ago. I stopped bc, my life took a turn, of chaos, being homeless, no money, etc. During COVID, I was trying to heal, make sense , and recover from the year or so upheaval, during those two years, it still was difficult, to end up homeless again, new friendships, neighbors, & landlords seem to turn their backs, being hateful towards us for seemingly no reason. I've always been in isolation, never made strong friend bonds with anyone. Even to this day. So losing people I barely had to begin with wasn't too difficult to recover from. It's the stability that's been dificult. It's the connections I had made in the exjw community that helped me to stay sane. Until recently, my accounts have all been hacked, all I have kept is RUclips. And the communication isn't as personal. I suspect who is behind the hacking, since the hacking began when I started my RUclips channel.. #1 tactic is shunning, and isolation. But guess what, I've learned to adapt. And I enjoy being alone. It's where I find peace.

I find it hard to relate to those just coming out, since I'm still, trying to heal, making sense of where I've been to where I am now and what the future holds. It's all good though.eventually I know I'll be in a state where I can help others. Surely I don't wish for anyone to struggle in toxicity the way I have all these years. Having the sense that you are in control, when all along the programming from childhood still had ultimate control.

I live in Billings, MT. This Montana court case is from Hardin, MT and placed in Billings, MT court system. I knew many of the defendants. It is a vile case. We want it to go to trial. I was born in JW's and have been out quite a while now. I grew up with many of the defendants. I am shocked and really want this to go to trial and not get settled out of court. JW's in this area really need to be made aware of this horrible problem. This is a huge case. Montana has a huge problem with CSA cases.

A few years ago, WT was willing to pay court fines of $4,000 a day for two and a half years just to avoid complying with court orders. $150,000 is nothing. WT is probably laughing at how easily they got by on this one.

Every exJW activist plays an important roll and brings something unique to the exJW community. I admire your humility and absolutely love how you combine humor, knowledge and critical thinking in exposing WT for what they really are. You are most definitely right that WT is narcissistic and people that have had narcissistic abusive relationships generally tend to have low self worth/esteem and can be self depreciating. I grew up hearing my mom talk about herself as being less than, stupid or a dummy. I remember sitting at meetings where the brother giving the talk says how we are just lowly imperfect sinful humans that are here only by the grace and mercy of Jehovah. I couldn't ever take pride in something I accomplished because "being prideful is a sin and all glory goes to Jehovah not to us". I still have issues I'm working through even after leaving 20+ years ago and have made a conscious effort to change my self talk to be more positive and kind. I may have never been a JW but I support the brave ones who have escaped this tyrannical cult. I watch and listen to several Ex-JW channels. I do it because I want to educate myself about what happens inside this cult. When I was a kid their was Kingdom literally next door to where I lived (I'm in the UK). Every Sunday the car park would be be packed, at the time I knew nothing about them. Now I do and it's scary just how they control and threaten members so they don't leave. My first encounter with the JWs was on my parent’s farm in rural Nebraska about the year 1980. I was a teenager back then. This older man (who is now probably deceased) was trying to explain to me why the Watch Tower was correct about the Bible. He was distributing their literature. We were already a Christian family who regularly attended an Evangelical church. I remember discussing Luke 16:24 with this man, which he insisted was only a parable…. I said, Fine, but what is the meaning of the parable (although there was no textual evidence it was a parable)? This man, a faithful JW of advanced years, could not answer my question! Since then I have simply added to my knowledge of the false prophecies, false doctrine, and false claims of the Watch Tower. 😊

So Watchtower has to pay plaintiff’s attorney fees. Big deal. The lawyers intentionally and repeatedly lied to the court. Why aren’t they subject to sanctions, like getting their law licenses suspended, at least temporarily? They won’t stop until it affects them personally.
You are right. The only thing that may jar and jolt the Watchtower Society to its senses is to bankrupt them with big fines for perjury and with many expensive lawsuits for covering up cases of alleged sexual abuse against children in their own ranks. As you know my mom is an active JW, she went out in field service today ugh. She just got back from Florida, I've been watching her house, yesterday she had Internet installed again and the guy saw her watchtower books and said hey you're a JW, I fell out of the truth for a while but I'm working my way back. He even helped her install JW library on her tablet. She was so happy and proud and told me the story and I was like uhhh ok mom that's great. I know it would make her so happy if I went to meetings but I'm df'd so it would still be pretty awkward. Weird world we occupy affiliated at all with JWs.
