Man I must confess you can cook.
I'm also Jamaican. Mastered the Egousi stew and hope to use this recipe as a great guide might make it or pepper soup tomorrow. Thanks bro. And yes I agree did you forget the grounded pepper? Also do you serve it with Gari or Pounded yam or either is fine?
+Nicenicegirl Hi! You can put ground pepper into the mix if you like. For me, it is best served with pounded yam, but gari or ground rice or amala are all perfectly acceptable. The ultimate, for me is ogbono soup with okro served with pounded yam. Absolutely heavenly!
Your ancestors are so Nigerians... you know too well. we are one.
I LOVE THIS DEMONSTRATION, ITS EASY TO FOLLOW. THANK YOU, BTW I LOVED THE WAY YOU MIXED THE SOUP WITHOUT A BIT SPILLING LOL. YOU ARE A PRO

+The Prince Where in Chicago do you live? Try La Fruteria market on commercial st. or Old World market near north side. Google others or try the new Chicago based African food/ingredient delivery app called Oja express.
wow awesome
Thanks for watching ..
I tried the same way u showed it but I actually burnt it. Because u didn't say turn it on low heat. U said it after and before I realised it my ogbono turned black. Well I guess I'll have to cook it all over again.
Don't fry it
Sweet
Thank you so much! this is so good!
nice 1
Do you have a recipe for Banga soup?
Marry me so you can cook me all those beautiful nigeria dishes...Please. ....beautiful. ...
I love dat
yummy 😀💥
Just tip my friend, a whisk would help a lot with the stirring, while a spoon is probably more authentic I just assume it would be easier, as the whole process seems very similar to making roux.
Thanks for that idea CHEF, will definitely try that out someday.
You did not add pepper to the soup. Nonsense
Can i add bitterleaf instead
Yes
U didn't add pepper 🌶 why?
what's ogbono powder?
Okunrin lo mo ojen cook toh to yiiii😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Issa go sir

Why did u not add pepper ?
👍
whats the messurments for the OGBONO
As for me I'll use a finger to scoup the oil from a contain, make sure its properly clean typical Western Africa
What is ogbono please ? And what is the name in English.
+Maimouna Toure Its a bush mango or wild mango.
I guess something is missing "PEPER"
Exactly! No pepper.
the pepper may have already been mixed with the ogbono when it was milled. That's what we do in my house.
Habi oooooooooo_ I saw dat 2. No pepper was added___ mayb he 4got lol
Someon will need a lot of energy to stir and stir. The stirring is quite much. Although at end it came out good.
Can u make this for me
I used stockfish in mine btw it was tasty but hubby didn't want to try
What happens if the ogbono turns black?
The way you are cooking it shows it is not your native soup so this is not how to cook ogbono in our own place. You do it as if it is very difficult to cook. It is very very easy to cook. Thank you sir.
interesting
☺

I need your comment
No pepper?
Nice one sir but I think sometin is missing, pepper
Thanks for the help.
Stirring for 15-20minutes...yikes!!!🙈😅😅 Nice one though
chai Ofe Mmanu!
Excuse sir your wife is blessed too
Your mama born you well
Nice effort, but I don't like to eat ogbono soup with squids, mussels, things like tat, I prefer only stockfish, goat meat, dry or smoked fish, crayfish . with the other ingredients
Why add all that see food .its not that African to me. E nor go sweet
Ogbono without pepper vomiting this not real I can't eat it
Didnt see any Stock fish, Dried Fish or pepper.
U don't eat fish
Bros you should have wear short sleeves 😜😜😜😜😜😜
Please, putting all ingredients together doesn’t really make you a better cook to certain food....
Looking at this supposedly ogbono.... it’s look like oath meal or crunched cereal.
Ogbono is slippery thick and not oath meal thickness.
a pot spoon of salt, really?
