ABOUT THE MOVIE
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wish” is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force-a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe-the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico-to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. This is so divorced from reality that it's actually funny
I give credit to Disney for having the courage to have a dark ending where the villain wins.
When the Wishmaster looked right at the audience (all three of us) at the end, and said "I WISH this movie was a box office bomb," and the credits rolled...

@@1992disney Frozen 2 was a mediocre, boring, badly written, woke (muh colonialism and reparations) mess. It got 1billion in boxoffice ONLY thanks to the goodwill from the first movie. Also, she's not directing Frozen 3 and 4 - she said it herself. So it's very likely Iger will say bye bye to her real soon.

Disney's wish is that this movie had made money.
Wish is so awesome and grandiose! The return of 2D and magic! ❤️❤️❤️ They worked so hard on it! It's incredible! It has its own style (like the firsts Disney) which is so beautiful, the 2D/3D mix, the format which is the same as Sleeping Beauty, and watercolor painting style, which can make think of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, I love! 😍 The characters are all so cool, Asha and her friends (representing the 7 dwarves), I love Star because they gave him Mickey's personality and facial expressions! 😍 The songs are so good, and the music is super powerful, certain musical notes remind me of the first Disney, it's so cool! The story is so beautiful, and super worked, with all the additional references, making wishes meant so much to Walt Disney! Wish is perfect! For the 100th anniversary it is perfect! ❤️🎉🎉 So many emotions! He has such positive energy, it feels good! So moving, catchy and funny! The mix of old and new is incredible! An original story full of magic and the return of 2D! It's a true love letter to Disney movies but also to the history of Disney and Disney fans! ❤️❤️ When they say in behind the scenes "a movie that's giving this love letter to walt" is so true! 😭 This is such a beautiful love letter! 🥰 Thank you @Disney animation this is what we want to see and feel! Pure magic! It's Disney like this that we want to see! ❤️❤️❤️

Or, y'know, stop making activist films and focus on the family like they used to. (At the very least stop making their politics so overt and out of place. Zootopia's made sense because it fit the setting, wasn't overly preachy and the characters/story/setting was/were still lovable. Those of films like Wish, Lightyear and Strange Worlds are more heavy-handed than Ralph is physically.)

The movie is OK but overall underwhelming. I think the plot and the script are quite basic and the music (except for maybe 2 songs) is also boring.
Sometimes I get the feeling that most people wished that Wish would turn out great, even though this doesn't exactly give anyone the right to criticize something good, like they did with Elemental even though it's a great Pixar movie, anyway, this is why people blamed Hollywood, literally because those producers/directors/animators ruins everything due to bad writing, I mean imagine if those bad films, along with bad TV shows, never happen, because let's face it, Hollywood only make things worse.⭐️🌟🌠✨️💫🐐

Crazy how now in animation you're only allowed to voice characters that match your race/skin colour.

Please explain why this should be a success when it narratively doesn't make sense, appears juvinile, makes the villain a man with the more sympathetic backstory who worked to achieve his goals, building this kingdom from nothing into a powerful, popular area, implies that your one true wish is set in stone at 18 and cannot change, throws in references for the sake of 'look at this and remember! We are referencing ourselves!', has the 'villain' defeated by the 'hero' and her friends holding hands and for the final kick in the dick, attempts to retcon the *entirety* of Disney by going 'yeah, these all only exist because various people wished for different worlds', thus robbing them of being their own settings.
No to mention the message of 'all wishes deserve to come true', ignoring that their realisation may not be for the best and in fact detrimental to themselves or the world, like how that guy with the giant chicken has now ruined other chicken farmers and MUST corner the market if he wants to keep that monstrosity fed, especially if it manages to breed (Bruce Almighty did a better job with this concept two decades ago). Also, that message inherently disregards 'hey, you can _work_ towards making your wish come true, actually _put in the effort_ to achieve your dreams', which is frankly a much better message for kids.
So please tell me, _what is appealing about it?_
