I use slippery elm liquid extract almost every other day to prevent stomach issues…… been using for a while now and I like it a lot 😎 I am healthy person but I like herbs and natural remedies to prevent health issues…… and been doing that for many years day by day.

I don’t see a problem to use in a long term because it’s basically a stomach moisturizer 🤔 most of the foods people eat damages gut lining for that reason consuming always before the meal will protect the gut from the meal/food damage.

Look into curcumin (or turmeric) and also Google "natural remedies NAFLD" and some good tips come up. I've done this myself, but I can't remember exactly which ones were most recommended. I research everything so it all gets mixed up in my head! 😄
