      Snitching is anything in relation to government authority. In this case since it is business inside the prison between inmates this is considered handling business and not snitching. Being aligned with a former CO is a huge issue. Not one single person in prison would consider this man a snitch for doing this.

    • @meccawood7180
      @meccawood7180 3 месяца назад +39

      I mean I hate to tell you but that's not at all how it works homes. I did over a decade behind the wall and snitching is snitching. That officer broke law for inmates, he should of stood his ground. That's just how it goes, if bro had a skin charge then I get it, but just cause he was a co don't mean nothing. Cos aren't police. Just glorified babysitters. Yeah he may if gotten a little respect for puttingman out there but anyone worth their weight wouldn't associate with bro, being able to hold your water is more important than anything in there. Being able to know things and keep your mouth shut is more important than letting everyone know an ex Co was in tier. It isn't even that big of a deal especially considering bro broke low for us. How you gonna have a man break law for you and help you out then when he needs you to do something for him you sell him out. That's not how loyalty works and just you saying that shows how ignorant you are of how things rly work

      Not to mention the officers should of never put a co in gp

    • @zadinal
      @zadinal 3 месяца назад +2

      @@meccawood7180 officers would definitely put a CO in Gen pop. They didn't care about that guy but each prison and jail is different. Even if you are in a SHU you can request to be put back in Gen pop in many places. There is a number of reasons but the common one is you don't like being around pedos, second I've heard some SHUs function more like solitary so people would rather take the risk and leave.
      I can't think of a reason that letting a shot caller know something that is 100% crucial when someone is lying about their crimes, especially someone who used to work for the people who are holding you in prison and may also be snitching, would be considered snitching. Obviously it was a big enough deal to take the guy out the same day so I'm inclined to believe that no one in that location thought he was a snitch

I was always kind to them, hooked them up and not only it got me respect as a CO, but also got me a pàss with everyone even as an inmate. 💯 Respect is everything. I was in for a few and the difference is amazing. One co would always talk down to convicts and if something ever popped off with him, his life would be at risk. He would have received no convict help. On the other hand, there was a CO that was easygoing and talked to convicts as an equal, a person. He took the time to have meaningful conversations. He never did anything extra for convicts other than to turn his back and let us smoke while our for rec when in confinement. Every convict respected him and would have stood up for him against another convict. He didn't need to worry, he was safe if anything went down. Attitude is everything and when you take the time to earn someone's respect, they will do a lot more for you.

      The people that are calling this snitching should look at it like this.
      •A convicted chomo has moved into your neighbourhood, in which, themselves and all of the neighbours have children.
      •Chomo doesn't inform anybody like they were required to. If their prison time is ever brought up they say they were in for some white collar crime (for example)
      •You KNOW what they were actually locked up for.
      •If you werw to inform your neighbours of the truth, would you consider that to be snitching or doing the right thing?
      (Or would you keep your mouth shut and when they inevitably discover the truth and that you knew but didn't say anything? They will start to look at you wondering if you're also a chomo and that's why you 'protected' them. Then you will be treated as one.)

    So you snitched … bruh in graterford or hungtington they would have found out the C.O. Was bringing in the hookup and figured out if he was on the up and up or not but if they found out you snitched him out to save your own ass they would have beat yours worse. THATS what loyalty looks like in Gladiator school
