- The Last Dinner Party perform their unreleased song "The Killer" (aka "Yeehaw Interlude") live on their Prelude to Ecstasy tour at Mountford Hall, Liverpool Guild of Students, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool on Saturday 12 October 2024.
The Last Dinner Party were voted BBC Sound of 2024 in an annual BBC poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent, and were the deserved winners of the BRITs Rising Star award at the Brit Awards 2024. "Prelude to Ecstasy" was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Music Prize, losing out to "This Could Be Texas" by English Teacher.

Yes, it’s really handy to have a trained composer / conductor and one of the world’s best guitarists in the band! Plus a couple of artsy English graduates to write the lyrics!
The Killer is one of those TLDP songs no-one else could write - and naturally it’s got a great chorus too!
Kinda of close to a nick cave song. I thought of it red light Hand. When i heard it first. I like this song and this band.

Saw this song the 3rd time they’d played it at a festival and it keeps getting better

@TheBobbymcd saw on the Dutch interview. They is a ultra negative comment. The worst band comment that I tell you about. I have replied to him. He told doesn't like their Polished sound because it is contrived. They oozzz middle class shallowness. What do you think think of that. Bobby. they music is not contrived at all. It is great.
@@niallq8447 Freddie Mercury spoke very properly and queen did the university thing...why some people get jealous of that is their own problem. they are influenced by queen as well as other bands,,in fact they have asked a glasgow band to join them on tour....mick jagger is middle class, speaks quite posh and i think he met keith richards at uni and they have the same background as abigail...she;s the only 'posh' one which gives her great diction for a singer......maybe copy and paste my comment and reply to the guy with it, but is he worth it! this is a great fking band theres no denying it and they are going to need bigger halls...dont worry my friend. there are more of us than there are haters out there

@@TheBobbymcd great band they are. I might be getting the prelude album on vinyl. Wonder what if the best pressing midnight black, red, new amber edition of covers and acoustic one.
In May next year: gig in Brazil. Maybe also in Argentina? Drummer- Daiana's home country.
