- Is it really possible to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17)? I think so! If we can get a little margin back in our lives and some room to pray and connect with the Lord throughout the day. I love the idea of your soul catching up. In college, I heard a story about an old Indian man taking a long train ride for the first time in his life. When he got to his destination, he got out of the train and sat on his luggage on the platform for a while. The attendant came to ask him if he needed help and his reply was that he was waiting for his soul to catch up :) The story still comes to mind very often.
Yes to everything you say! I used to pour through my mental "to do" list on the hectic traffic-laden drive to work, while making calls and listening to the news. Last month, I decided to take the time during the commute to pray out loud. I arrive at work relaxed and in a calm state of mind. Taking these moments to pause has changed my entire day. Thank you!

I downloaded that book “Get Your Life Back” from my library. I devoured it. The book is sensible, biblical, practical, easy to read and easy to understand. I’m going to read it again slower and write down some points that spoke to my heart and soul. Thanks for introducing this book.

when I had an office job I used his app with the alarms and reminders. thank you for the refresher to pause ! and for the reminder to put the baggage at His feet.

I can’t wait to try this at bedtime. I carry the stress and weight of the world on my shoulder as an empath. I have such a hard time sleeping as I replay all the information I’ve read and seen during the day. Thank you! This really impacted me. I am always mindful of how to make transitions for my students easier and less stressful. I'm committed now to implement your teaching not only to develop a habit of prayer throughout the day but I see how this will reduce the stress of my own transitions. I really need to build this habit as a current project requires more of my morning quiet time (before family wakes up) which has been my prayer/scripture time for years. A new season, new habits!

I know you're sort of suggesting a step away from screens, but I wanted to share that John Eldredge did create an app for his pauses. I believe it's simply called 'One Minute Pause'. I've found them helpful, but also like the idea of a phone free transitional pause. Thank you for your videos!
