When The Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980, it had "Episode V" in the title crawl from the beginning. Basically it’s a fair fight. 1 clone worth bout 5-10 b1 droids. But there are so many specialised droids, like supers, droidekas, commandos, magnaguards and many many more
@@danzansandeev6033 yeah exactly, the high quality of trooper that the republic had was countered by the sheer number of droids plus some specialized droids to fill in the gaps that the b1’s couldn’t fill. Like any clone can do almost any job in the Grand Army of the Republic, but droids could do basically one thing unless they got special outfitting or programming (ex the capital ship pilots are regular battle droids, but a normal ground droid couldn’t do that)
@@frenchiekolsson well to be fair clones also had specialisations. you can't expect foot soldier to be able to fly a fighter, and vice versa. not to mention that there are non combatans clones, like medics and technicians. i remember that scene from fives are in season 6, when droids came to highjack the transport with tup on board, and there was medic clone, hands shaking as he holds his blaster, but still fights back.

I don't understand the complaint about the Yoda from episode 5 not being consistent with the one in episode 2. I mean the Yoda from Episode 5 is supposed to be an older version of the character who fought in a war orchestrated by their enemy who manipulated the Jedi into betraying everything they stood for by fighting in a war and then destroyed them. I don't know about yall but if that happened to me and spent the next 19 years reflecting on it I'd have a pretty different outlook on the world as well. Remember the Jedi are suppose to be "keepers of the peace not soldiers"
The B1 class battle droids were originally service robots whose combat capabilities were designed for security not warfare. They were also much more efficiently programmed in the past as seen in episode 1 but that was because they were all connected to a central computer (which is also an Achilles heel as we see when episode 1 as those droids could all be shut down if that mainframe is destroyed). In order to overcome this flaw the CIS made all there droids have individual software to not repeat the mistake of episode 1 but because of this the droids had to be reprogrammed from scratch. Now they are free thinking and not reliant on a singular command source but this also means that their combat potential is much more simplified. This is why droids uses the quantity over quality approach.
It's displays like this that are the reason why I was surprised Yoda has a lightsaber, he really doesn't need it, he has reached that level where he can literally defeat armed opponents empty handed
Just for future reference, the dumb beige droids that work for the separatists are just called Battle Droids, and then the bigger black droids with the red eyes are called Super Battle droids. The droids that roll around and have the dual wielding guns with the shields are called Destroyer Droids or Droidekas for short.
7:18 One of my all-time favorite Star Wars lines: Asajj Ventress: "Find Master Yoda." B1 battle droid: "Uh...what does he look like?" Asajj: "Oh, he'll be the small, shriveled green one...WITH THE LIGHTSABER!!!" Geonosians didn't build those droids for their brainpower. 😂
Yeah, they were cheap and easy to make since the resources needed to build them could be found on many planets. They weren't smart but there were so many of them coming at the clones at once that it didn't matter as much. The funny part is that if the war didn't end from the shutdown command and dragged on, the droid army would have eventually one since it took 10 years to create a single clone soldier but they came off an assembly line.
Hey Normies, just thought I'd let you guys know that George Lucas was very involved with the production of clone wars as both a writer and producer and for most of its run, financial backer as whenever the show went over budget George paid out of pocket to finish each season and is probably the main reason the show wasnt canceled sooner. The episodes are so out or order because George was coming up with the basic episode plots for Dave Faloni's team to create and later down the line he was like "I got this idea about what happened before this other episode to explain what lead to it happening." So things like this happened alot. But that is just how George is. Hope that cleared a few things up.
The reason clone commandos were rarely seen they were like black ops squads like the bats batch. Plus George and Dave were already focused on their own elite troopers, the ARC troopers. So due to popular demand they broke their rule and introduced their own commando for the 100th episode.
@@seth-nico Nope. If you look at the behind the scenes and dvd commentaries, Lucas barely has any writing input credited to his name. Why? Because aside from a handful of episodes, he pretty much just visited the crew occasionally and served as the executive producer. Filoni was free to dismiss, use and alter any idea Lucas gave him. In fact, Lucas wanted to kill off Ahsoka but Filoni decided not to go with that idea.

@@danzansandeev6033 True, but I would still say clones are more adaptable than droids. There are probably like 3 types of clones, troopers (with some being specialized scouts, snipers, drivers, commandos, artillery, etc.), pilots (fighter, transport, and capital), medics (field and hospital). While we can take one model of clone and put it in any role, for the droids we have to build a totally different model of droid to do these jobs well (any b1 can do any job, but a special built model will do it better)
@@frenchiekolsson oh no doubt about it, clones are more adapltable, but you can agree that our biological memory banks are also limited, you can't teach everything at once with the limited time for training these clones have) Infantry, space Navy and Non-Combatans you mean, not just medics also engineers and technicians.
Yoda: only when you get manscape will you truly be with the force HMMM?
12:58 This is one of the scenes that made me love the Clone Wars series! 🙏🏽💪
*Ventress when yoda shows up.*
why do I hear John cena's theme?
Crazy to think Yoda takes off Jek’s head in ROTS
7:18 One of my all-time favorite Star Wars lines:
Asajj Ventress: "Find Master Yoda."
B1 battle droid: "Uh...what does he look like?"
Asajj: "Oh, he'll be the small, shriveled green one...WITH THE LIGHTSABER!!!"
Geonosians didn't build those droids for their brainpower. 😂
Yeah, they were cheap and easy to make since the resources needed to build them could be found on many planets. They weren't smart but there were so many of them coming at the clones at once that it didn't matter as much. The funny part is that if the war didn't end from the shutdown command and dragged on, the droid army would have eventually one since it took 10 years to create a single clone soldier but they came off an assembly line.
canonically the droids are like 50 bucks so they shouldnt be too effective in smaller numbers
Can’t wait to see mother Talzin & night sisters!
Supply Lines is easy until you need to land back on the roof before running out of fuel.
"Launch the Red Baron!"
I wish this show had included clones like Fordo, Sev, Boss, Scorch, Fixer, Stec, Cooker, Faie and Nate.
well, Delta Squd got a Cameo at least so thats somethin^^ Still a shame to i agree^^
The reason clone commandos were rarely seen they were like black ops squads like the bats batch. Plus George and Dave were already focused on their own elite troopers, the ARC troopers. So due to popular demand they broke their rule and introduced their own commando for the 100th episode.
@@javiersavala2385 No. Just Dave and his team. Lucas didn't have much input in the show aside from a handful of episodes.
@@vetarlittorf1807 No. He did. Just look up the most recent interview between them after S7.
One of my favorite series, thanks for reacting
Lol season 7 Mace Windu says that he destroyed 100.000 droids that was flex on another level
"this guys never seen a Christmas special before" HAHAHAHA
Anytime a clone squad appears:
Normies: I think this is Domino squad
Yoda is small green version of general Iroh
This episode is what sold me on the show as a kid. I didn't watch the movie because I thought it didn't look very good. When bored one day, not long after the series premier, I started watching this episode on Cartoon Network, and it convinced me to give the show a chance. It didn't take long until I was watching new episodes as they released with my family.
I remember watching this when it came out. Who else feels old watching these?
Cant wait for them to find out Darth Maul is still alive
Well Dooku's got that "evil mastermind" excuse where he never puts himself in a position to be overwhelmed in a fight, or even in any fights at all. He's masquerading as a rich as all fuck politician, pulling aa lightsaber on a dude might raise some eyebrows.
Definitely learned from palpatine who won the clone wars while dooku was just a pawn
I'm so looking forward to you guys getting to the really good multi-episode arcs :D
12:56-Yoda: Deceive you, eyes can. In the force, very different each one of you are.
13:03-Yoda: Rys, always focused on the enemy, are you. For inspiration, look to yourself, and those beside you.
13:11-Yoda: Jek, concerned about weapons you are. Weapons do not win battles. Your mind, powerful it is. Hmm. Out think the droids, you can.
13:23-Yoda: Thire, rush not into fights. Long is the war, only by surviving it, will you prevail. Yes.
13:32-Yoda: Clones you may be, but the force resides in all life forms. Use it you can, to quiet your mind.
14:43-Battle Droid Commander: RUN FOR IT! {Yoda pulls them back in with the Force}
14:47-Battle Droid Commander: But, I, just, got promoted....
15:14-Battle Droid: Destroyed, Supreme Leader. The Jedi has overrun our position and- Ahh!
16:43-DIRTY CHEATER!
This is NOT Domino Squad
Yoda: Fight, who here to fight?
I love their reactions to clone wars
14:20 Let the battle begin
16:21 Aye!!!!!! You called it! 💪
they should do the season 1 episode "Rookies" next since they were going on about domino squad.
They’re going in chronological order. Idk why the episodes were released out of order
Don’t tell me you guys thinks that Domino squad trains that hard just to become coruscant guards lol
Good soldiers follow orders
If they like these episode, later on gets so much better. It stars getting good in the Nightsister arc.
Fun fact these clones were in ROTS
well yoda stalemated palpatine, even lucas said they where evenly matched,so yeah hes a savage.
Yoda lost. Lucas never said that. Stop making fantasy for shitty Yoda
@@paulyotzuar2788 Yoda should of align with Mother Talzin to kill Palpatine. Palpatine wud of been gone
yoda failed to beat palpatine, but he didnt lose he stalemated palpatine, watch the fucking movie.
Maul and Grievious are the sith who will slaughter masses of people especially Grievous who literally hunts jedi for fun
Please do 2 episodes in a week :(
Attempt #492: of trying to get The Normies to check out Symbionic-Titan or Primal.
Both made by Genndy Tartakovsky, the guy who made Samurai Jack.
Anyone who isn’t afraid of Super Battle Droids has never played republic commando
This episode is not in the playlist, watch out for that guys, i love this series
Logan looks like Game of Thrones Littlefinger!!!!
I just cant wait till these guys get in deeper. Seasons 1 and 2 are alright but ever since season 3 the quality just kept skyrocketing. I was more hyped for season 7s release than I was for RoS.
8:34 if they were made of nokia phones, the jedi wouldn't be able to cut thru them; as nokia are clearly made of cortosis or some other crazy material
I'm with Nahid, I actually want to see Grogu be like Yoda.
Let the games begin
Yoda, the only Jedi that looks badass with a green lightsaber🔥
lol you guys defiantly missed the clone trooper punching droids in Revenge of the Sith then.
Y’all should react to “Infinity Train.” With the show recently cancelled, now is the perfect time to give it the attention it deserves.
These boys think those boys are the dominos
Personally I want clone wars twice a week
This is on of my favourite Disney movie
Star wars the clone wars is the best TV show ever made 😂☺️😊
I raise you with ATLA, but CW is close for sure
1:57 It wasn't *Star Wars* _"A New Hope,"_ as was mistakenly noted when *Chris* corrected them about the episode number. It was just *Star Wars.* There was no _"Episode IV,"_ nor _"A New Hope."_
As long as some of us who were there in '77 keep saying, _"Well actually…"_ (said while talking through your nose and pinching it at the same time), there will be comments like this. Of course, once my generation dies, they can say whatever they want, I suppose. 🤷🏼♂️
10:00 *Battle Droid:* _"The Jedi destroyed our advance troops."_
*Normies:* _"Those were the advanced troops?"_
I believe they meant _advance_ troops. Not _advanced_ troops. As in those that went ahead of the rest of the troops.¹
··•※✺※•··
¹ ─ *Edit:* Don't forget to pinch your nose when reading the correction out loud. 🤓
Can I just say this episode isn’t in the clone wars playlist on the Chanel... just thought I’d mention it
off topic, but I like Rana's pendant.....
Everyone is watching star wars the clone wars again on YT XD
R. I.P Pepe la pew!!
12:26 Oh yeah, 😂💪
Where’s clone wars?!
