Norwegian Epic is a cruise ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line built under NCL's F3 Project by the STX Europe Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. When built she was the third largest cruise ship in the world.
With so much going on, Norwegian Epic is a cruise ship with broad appeal. The ship was one of the first at sea to be referred to as Las Vegas-esque and it's no wonder. With more than a dozen restaurants, shows that range from Broadway to The Beatles, an active casino and outdoor attractions that include water slides and rock climbing walls, there's enough to keep cruisers busy from sunup to well past sundown.
Epic's passengers delight in all the choices; they're onboard to have fun and they do so in spades, though the ship does provide a handful of quiet spots for those looking for a more relaxed vacation. Either way, be prepared to rub elbows with your fellow passengers as the most popular shows, restaurants, bars and activities are always full -- no time for napping on an Epic cruise
As with a visit to any city, Epic's passengers need to plan ahead to make the most of their time onboard. Dinners and shows should be booked ahead of sailing or you may find yourself on the outside looking in. Lines are common, and much of the onboard experience, particularly dining, costs extra.
Sailed on this ship out of Barcelona and enjoyed it no issues
I've been fortunate to have gone on this ship 3 times. I feel it is starting to show it's age, and it really could benefit from a major refresh. I've never had a bad time on the Epic!
So we just left the ship last week and I was excited the whole time because I had read that, even though it was built in 2010, it was updated in 2020! I’m not sure where the updates went because to me this ship makes total sense to have been built in 2010! The service and food were awesome and we had a great time though, so I can’t complain! We wanna do the Viva next!
@@SheenaBeena06The viva is okay, the main pool deck is very small, interior spaces are very small. It’s not really that great of a ship I prefer the epic over that ship by far. The epic is by far my favorite ship .
I enjoyed sailing on the ship back in 2012 out of Miami definitely impressive back then they had the cirque show and I love Moderno and the all-around layout of the ship was pretty good Thank you so much for the video.
just got back from this ship yesterday! I had sailed it back in 2012, so was familiar, and looking forward to the dinner show mentioned at Speigel Tent, but dont think i recall it ever being in service during my time aboard. also sorely missing the Blue Man Group that was once a feature the last time i went aboard. Aside from x-mas crowds being a tad overwhelming, I really enjoyed my second sailing with the Epic, and look forward to her extended refurbishment to come in 2025 :)
I just got back 2 days ago. We had a great time and the food was fantastic. The shows were limited however but the current Burn the Floor is riveting

Do the Bliss!!! We had family who had sailed the Bliss- who in fact booked the Epic on board thinking it would be par(they are cruise newbie) and kept mentioning how much they liked the Bliss better the entire time lol. Epic is surely showing her age, lacking a lot of crowd control and general attraction of most current boats today. I enjoyed the Epic, because I hadn’t sailed in a few years, and any cruise is a good cruise for me! It was preplanned by my family, and they invited me so I went. But given the choice, Bliss no contest

Went on this ship March 17 2018 - March 24 2018. It was amazing!! Seen the best show; Priscilla the Queen of the Desert! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you have the chance going on this ship!!

Just spent Christmas week on her, not NCL's best. Far from it. Stick to the Breakaway+ class. The best afloat!
It needs to be retired. Old, rusty and paint chipping. I was on it last summer. I do not in anyway recommend NCL. Food for pretty disappointing too.

This ship is old and needs to be retired. I was on a mediterranean cruise last summer. This ship was really disappointing. Old, rusty. And I couldn't believe how bad the food was. Even at Cagneys. Lobster bisque that just tasted like tomato soup. Nasty crab cake. The service in the dining rooms was hit or miss. Le Bistro was wonderful. I ate there two times. Great food and service there. I had a great cabin steward. The excursion desk staff were rude. I will not sail NCL again. Just one mans opinions.
It's getting refurbished in 2025.
Do not go on Norwegian epic horror cruise. I took a trip to Dominican Republic on January 14 horrible customer service. Food is incredibly bad
