The other day i did a short about how vivzie said one important character will die in season 1 of hazbin hotel, with my pick being sir pentious. Today viv did a livestream where she again said someone will die, however she said it won’t be angel dust or husk. I’ll cover a couple side characters who could also die.
So keekee the cat could be next on the chopping block. She’s the physical embodiment of the hotel, and in the trading cards we see the hotel destroyed. So perhaps keekee dies once the hotel is destroyed, and they build the new upgraded one in her memory.
Lute’s voice actor confirmed she’ll be back in season 2 which rules her out.
Adam is my next best pick on who’s going to die. He’s the main villain of season 1, so it makes sense for him to die and this angers lute, causing her to be a more threatening villain in season 2. It also makes sense for him to die and then be replaced by a bigger villain like eve, lilith or roo.
And lastly i doubt any of the three vee’s will die. Viv said they could get their own spinoff show at some point, and there’s a bunch of unresolved rivalries such as vox with alastor and valentino with angel.

You know what man I got close enough with Adam dying and it was all thanks to the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!! Good night everybody!
I want to see a fight between Adam and Lucifer over the safety of Charlie and the hotel. It makes sense, since with it being established that Adam has a personal grudge against Charlie as of episode 6 and Lucifer becoming more supportive of Charlie, the two would clash with her and the hotel being the centerpiece. Plus, unless someone like Lilith comes back, Lucifer would logically be the only one with the power required to defeat and kill Adam. Charlie might have a massive degree of untapped power, but she doesn't really have any combat experience.
Plus, a fight between Adam and Lucifer would give them a chance to argue over their respective sides of the impact of the events of the Garden of Eden, and make Adam more a complex villain beyond just "misogynist dudebro".
And assuming that Adam dies during the battle, it would make sense for Sera to appoint someone else to continue the exterminations or even escalate it into a full-on war, given that the demons like the Overlords would likely have devised measures to effectively combat the exorcists to a degree, this further justifying the campaign from the perspective of heaven. Her appointing Lute for the role and maybe giving her a power boost or "evolving" her into a higher-type angel to fill in Adam's shoes would make sense. Whereas Adam's motivations for the extermination was entertainment and to vent his unresolved anger at Lilith and Lucifer, Lute has been characterized as a much more straight-laced and professional soldier with a fanatical prejudice against sinners.

Her death would be a slap in the face to Adam, caused by his carelessness of treating the Exterminations like a game rather than a military operation, even going as far as to be dismissive of one of his subordinates being killed in the last Extermination.
Her death will either play a part in him getting kicked out of heaven or to set him up as a much greater threat in season 2.

Personally I think the "Someone will die" thing is going to be a new cast member. Like someone dies and plops down into Hell (having died and thus not disproving Vivzie but also not fucking over any characters drastically), becoming a new MC for season 2. I think such a plot twist is possible and maybe even likely.

Good theory. I was thinking of possible options and this never even thought to cross my mind. It makes even more sense when you consider there aren’t many viable candidates to be killed off.

To be honest I think that Vaggie will die. Not that she won’t be reborn, SPOILER AHEAD, but if you saw the leaked photo of her from Amazon she got her wings back. In most cases of angels getting their wings back it’s from rebirth or a great sacrifice where God restores them to their glory. I might be wrong, but it’s a classic example of the classic trope that many fallen angels seeking redemption have done in other shows. Plus we do know that Lute ripped off her wings with an angelic sword which causes permanent damage. How else could she possibly get her wings back? Again I may be wrong but it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

My theory is that it's vaggie. I feel like she'd be a target since she's a fallen angel and there was a leaked picture of her with wings. It's not going to charlie, as the morningstar family most likely has a pardon since their royalty.
Another thing is that said dead character could be 'revived' in some sort of way, I'm kinda leaning into this and it being vaggie.

@@thedusty194 Her design. It seemed quite simple. Like a background character. She also felt a bit stiff in the personality department and seemed to hate sinners for no obvious reason other than being raised like that and follow orders. Although Adam was a bit stiff as well just in a different way. So it's more like it felt she was more likely to die of the two. Then again it could have gone either way. Maybe they will go more in depth with Lute as a character next season and her story or something.

Her stiffness would be her being stoic, it's pretty common and I love that personality trait. Personally I love her design and think it's pretty detailed for her character. I don't think Adam was stiff at all.
And Jessica Vosk confirmed multiple times that she was in season two, and this season was just a very very tiny set up for what's to happen with her character in season 2.

I can see Lute dying and Adam becoming fallen and possibly a recurring antagonist for season 2, along with the Vs, specially since it's likely the Hotel could finally gain guests after this.
Having Adam be unable to ever interact with Eve or Lilith or any theoretical characters like Cain or Able or God considering how significant he is as a figure would be a huge missed opportunity.

Off topic you know that scene where Vox was talking with Val at the end of poison. They both had a drool thing and it was one of two things. It’s just their stable stuff or they had kissed and it was Val’s.
