While it certainly is impressive, the orbital cannon doesn't launch that many tnts to the target, making it better suited for precise base destruction than player kill
Leading the Green team was amazing and infiltrating Red's statis chamber was a blast! Really good event; I had so much fun and met some absolute geniuses! Can't wait for the next event!
As one of the participants in this video, this was an AMAZING experience. For two weeks, I played Minecraft for 16 to 18 hours per day, my sleep schedule was totally messed up, and I had the mentality that everyone was better than me (which is true). The event was a blast because you meet and play with people who are literally geniuses at the game. Also, congrats to everyone who was involved and I hope you enjoy the video! May we meet again :)

Cubicmeter was most definitely told to not use the full capacity of his orbital strike cannon as it would immediately wipe a teams entire base and all of it's residents off of the face of the earth
In his video on the cannon he explained that it needs a powdered snow block over the target to stop the payload midair, hence why he was only able to use it in no man’s land (the only place he could get a powdered snow block to)

Actually, I came here from that one Cubicmetre video where he mentioned participating in Sip's civilization event. His orbital strike cannon (And the insane water bunker they had) was definitely the highlight of the video to me and I was definitely rooting for Green to win the whole way through. Surprised how well that cannon works even in a tight survival mode scenario but I was sad Cubic never unleashed its TRUE potential - its nuclear capability. His cannon has the ability to launch a nuke-like TNT barrage on top of the humungous hole it can dig, surprised he didn't utilize it in here.
@@kumeater sipover had opportunity to let real power imbalance happen, which would not only be more authentic (and fun cuz its a nuke we all wanna see it go off), but would create some genuine suspense over whether brains or brawn can win. nah actually children have the attention span of a goldfish, they won't be able to follow multiple plots without rooting for one side so let's make this random guy the main character, give him 15 layers of plot armor (and he still died)

It's crazy how blue won with such a simple yet effective strat. Their leader really said that they'd come up with a move that wasn't boundary breaking but still out of the box. This was an awesome video and blue's win at the end was definitely deserved
@@doktor69420 That's called strategy. If every war was fought just by everyone charging in then the side with the most skilled fighters and most numbers would always win. Blue knew that when it came to PvP, they'd loose, especially against red with ferre and purple who all of them were stacked. So they chose brains over brawn. Why fight a battle you know you'd lose Headon? It was simply a well thought out battle tactic, that's why they deserved to win. It wasn't them being cowards, they were just being smart.
the playercannon idea was hands down the smartest move in this run. Giving your civ advantage in numbers without risk or having to lift so much as a finger. Nicely done.

As one of the participants, I want to thank you, slipover and Team Blue! I had such a blast grinding most days hours at a time, to create our builds and place thousands of thousands moss blocks 😆 Plus I was one of the last remaining blues alive! A great experience.
Green’s stasis chamber was an amazing idea, and they definitely would have won in a scenario where boarders weren’t a factory. Blue’s idea of removing players for as long as possible with a tnt cannon was also insanely creative and a great idea overall. These were all some pretty amazing civilizations, some of the best I have ever seen. Amazing video.

I would count that as changing the rules to make the borders more of a factor than they should have been.

At least according to cubic, he told green explicitly "if you guys are still fighting and engaging with the game, I won't shrink the borders" which green did, and lost quite a few people doing so. He then shrank the borders anyway, and did nothing to the fact that blue wasn't fighting at all, despite telling green that they had to fight or else. I just don't get why one of these strategies was accepted but the other wasn't.

I like how balanced this type of server is, where the smartest players can build orbital nukes, and the strongest pvp players can survive a direct hit once
This was a wild event to be part of (I'm SkyePK), from building the storage systems to helping us get strength potions, to building that device to harvest the middle oneblock, it felt like every time I logged on there was something else to help with, even if I died quite soon in doomsday, I had a lot of fun with it

An underrated MVP was the guy who b*mbed the red team's stasis chamber. It easily dwindled down the team and backup that FerreMC had, and put him on a serious backfoot regardless of how good he is at PVP.
i would really love to see a version of this where the border doesn't shrink after the walls open so technical, well prepared teams don't get overrun in the end by the pvp'ers. This would also make the end battle more interesting as it could go on for several days and pleyers could come up with some long term tactics and some sick plays instead of just plain old pvp
Wouldn't then the ideal strategy be to just fill up your base with a bunch of resources and stay there forever? If each team does a technically impenetrable fortress, why would they try to go out and kill each other at all?

Yeah the borders were bs in my opinion. Completely nuked greens strategy unfairly and made prep pointless. Why even set up for 14 days if all it comes down to is a sword swing fest? The setup made it interesting only for the border shrinking to completely ruin it.
If you've studied history, it's kind of funny how much some of these civilizations resemble real life ones though Blue (Japan) - initially aggressive but then resort to isolationism for most of their history - very "out of the box" strategies - discipline, everyone follows the plan - literally built japanese civ lol Green (British) - cheeky buggers, right from the start - very sneaky yet creative strategies - unimpressive initially, but then make their mark. Purple (Indian) - relatively peaceful, a world within themselves - really into the arts, especially music - stupid rich (historically) Red (German) - hyperaggressive, but damn good at it. Initially unstoppable. - worst public relations in history, manage to piss everyone off somehow - industrial base - births legendary strongmen like ferre (see Bismarck) - gets their butt kicked by the brits (green)
Also, the nether could be compared to africa Really hot, (insert joke about water here), and all the colonial powers just become bros to loot the land together (see "the gentleman's war" part of WW2)

This was so interesting to watch. Especially since it had a ton of players and a lot of them were very experienced with the game. It just made it so much more interesting to see what could be made from one block in the sky. I'm excited to see more videos like this and I'm definitely going back to see some of the older ones. Most PVPers on doomsday died to border, void or TNT, and since blue was mostly avoiding fights they were able to clean sweep the ending, GGs and thanks for hosting Sipover!

Interesting how all of these videos set a new precedent for the next one. The stasis chamber that allowed green to win in the previous video became a unanimous feature this time around. I imagine the player canon is going to be a big one next time too. I only wish that cubicmetre's TNT canon got more use during Doomsday. I think a big innovation in next video is going to be a precision player-canon that doesn’t require ender pearls. That way it is possible to rain down on the enemy while still maintaining a stasis chamber.

While I didn’t play as much as I would’ve liked during the event, the time I was on the server for and even just talking to my team members was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in Minecraft. Amazing video, it’s a great summary of what happened over these 2 weeks. Great job red team and everyone else who participated!
This was one hell of a war, a battle with a literal orbital strike nuke being used, a task force with heavily experienced figthers, and then there's neutral and peaceful group just sheltering
I thought I knew how to play minecraft, but these guys are on an entirely different level in an entirely different dimension. How do you even think of such intricate inventions and actually execute it, the co-ordinated orbital canon, the player launcher blue team used??? Truly impressive, these are undoubtedly the worlds best minecraft players.

These types of videos are great. The complexity and social experiment-like nature of the event, as well as the variation in personal flair in addition to the fact that it all starts off as single blocks...... that's like unattainable level minecrafting for the vast majority.
This is the first Sipover vid I’ve watched and I really thought the title was just clickbait… until I saw all the jaw dropping builds, redstone contraptions etc and I ate my words real quick
These builds are absolutely mindblowing! Ik this Is a game but the ingenuity of humans never ceases to amaze me, they came up with stuff I didnt even know was possible and that sculpture of a human green team made was just amazing🔥
I love how its always the most outside the box thinking that wins these. Anybody can copy an insane redstone design or train like crazy for PVP, but strategies like a human cannon to avoid the chaos is really what makes the difference.
Cubicmetre is a good redstoner, but his cannons rely on chunk loading and unloading which means he didn't get to use his full potential, also he has probably banned from shooting over the wall after almost blowing up Ferrec

All of these players are so unique and good at Minecraft in different areas! The suspense was mindboggling at the end too, and frankly I wish I was half as good as these guys! Great video, 10/10.
What I like most is the colors represented how the groups played Purple was wealth (In ancient times purple was a symbol of wealth as it was extremely rare and often dedicated to the royal family) Red was violence Blue was defense And green was technology

This was a wild event to be part of (I'm SkyePK), from building the storage systems to helping us get strength potions, to building that device to harvest the middle oneblock, it felt like every time I logged on there was something else to help with, even if I died quite soon in doomsday, I had a lot of fun with it

An underrated MVP was the guy who b*mbed the red team's stasis chamber. It easily dwindled down the team and backup that FerreMC had, and put him on a serious backfoot regardless of how good he is at PVP.

i would really love to see a version of this where the border doesn't shrink after the walls open so technical, well prepared teams don't get overrun in the end by the pvp'ers. This would also make the end battle more interesting as it could go on for several days and pleyers could come up with some long term tactics and some sick plays instead of just plain old pvp

Yeah the borders were bs in my opinion. Completely nuked greens strategy unfairly and made prep pointless. Why even set up for 14 days if all it comes down to is a sword swing fest? The setup made it interesting only for the border shrinking to completely ruin it.
If you've studied history, it's kind of funny how much some of these civilizations resemble real life ones though

It just made it so much more interesting to see what could be made from one block in the sky. I'm excited to see more videos like this and I'm definitely going back to see some of the older ones. Interesting how all of these videos set a new precedent for the next one. The stasis chamber that allowed green to win in the previous video became a unanimous feature this time around. I imagine the player canon is going to be a big one next time too.
I only wish that cubicmetre's TNT canon got more use during Doomsday.
I think a big innovation in next video is going to be a precision player-canon that doesn’t require ender pearls. That way it is possible to rain down on the enemy while still maintaining a stasis chamber.

While I didn’t play as much as I would’ve liked during the event, the time I was on the server for and even just talking to my team members was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in Minecraft. Amazing video, it’s a great summary of what happened over these 2 weeks. Great job red team and everyone else who participated!

These types of videos are great. The complexity and social experiment-like nature of the event, as well as the variation in personal flair in addition to the fact that it all starts off as single blocks...... that's like unattainable level minecrafting for the vast majority.

These builds are absolutely mindblowing! Ik this Is a game but the ingenuity of humans never ceases to amaze me, they came up with stuff I didnt even know was possible and that sculpture of a human green team made was just amazing🔥
I love how its always the most outside the box thinking that wins these. Anybody can copy an insane redstone design or train like crazy for PVP, but strategies like a human cannon to avoid the chaos is really what makes the difference.

Cubicmetre is a good redstoner, but his cannons rely on chunk loading and unloading which means he didn't get to use his full potential, also he has probably banned from shooting over the wall after almost blowing up Ferrec
@@langcao3544 No he did didn't get banned, it just took to long to set up and shoot to be effective. And in dooms day they were under the cannon loading so no use there either!
All of these players are so unique and good at Minecraft in different areas! The suspense was mindboggling at the end too, and frankly I wish I was half as good as these guys! Great video, 10/10.
