I'm actually surprised the lightsaber is as weak as it is. Not only do you have to go through ALOT to get it, but in previous RE games, the most OP weapon types tend to be pistols and hand to hand combat. I still remember how RE7 punching is more powerful than a shotgun blast. Surprised that weapon isn't one shot killing everything short of a boss. Then again RE8 doesn't follow traditional RE weapon design. Best example is how the machine guns in this game are actually strong rather than the traditional RE design of only doing 1/3 the damage of your starting handgun.
