the guns ingame are directly based on real guns unlike some RE game, here's their real names and trivia:
handguns:
Lemi: Czech CZ 2075 RAMI of 9mm (with a simplified hammer and rubbed grip for better recoil control and handling) can be considered like a pocket variant of the CZ75
M1911: the american classic, basically has the same name ; with its year of manufacture. Use normally powerful 45. Auto. We can guess the trigger is easy to press so Ethan can shoot frenetically with it, it giving us the impression of full-auto fire
Samurai Edge: italian Beretta 92 9mm with the logo of the STARS police group , which appeared in the first games of the RE series, its name is a reference to his former chief Albert Wesker
USM: a swiss Brugger & Thomet USWA1 . fires 9mm. we can't use its red dot sight unfortunately. has a suppressor to reduce the intensity in the hears when firing it in closed places. Is like a Swiss cousin of the Glock
Wolfsbane: an hybrid between many Wild-West-Victorian-era revolvers from the famous American Colt. specifically the 1851 Navy and the Walker
STAKE: a Wildey Magnum (named after the society who made it , as well as its creator) , an high-caliber American-made pistol , exist since the seventies at least.
Rocket pistol: the Gyrojet pistol, an experimental american-made pistol made during the sixties, with rocket-propelled ammo , not as explosive as in the game IRL.
Handcannon: the BFR, another american-made revolver. the real version fires big 45/70 Government, but the one ingame seems to use 7.62mm NATO
Full-auto guns:
V61: basically the same name as the real gun but it is more know as the Skorpion. Is made by the same Czech society than the RAMI pistol. 9mms Skorpions exists, but the V61 is 32. ACP. The only SMG or Machine pistol in the game
Dragoon: a Mini Draco , a romanian carbine version of the Kalash rifle. modernized by rails and accessories similar to the USW pistol. It's a carbine for sportive at the basis, but it's converted to full-auto. fire in 7.62. very fiftting
USW: MCX Virtus , a 5.56 rifle modern made in the US the branch of the german-Swiss SIG-Sauer
other rifles:
F2 rifle: FR-F2 french bolt-action rifle ( a gun from my country) . Its caliber isn't named in the game , but it's logically 7.62mm NATO when we learn about the real gun
W1897: basically has the same name as the real shotgun rifle , W stands for Winchester. also know as the "Trench gun". apparently a relic from WW1 or 2
W870: an american-made compact Remington 870 with pistol grips. very popular shotgun , made since the fifties, and is sold in the entire world, thanks to its reliability. modernized by rails and stock.
SYG: a modernized SAIGA 12 , russian shotgun version of the Kalashnikov.
explosives:
grenades are based about the M84 flash and the M67, both used by US army.
GM79: american M79, also know as the "Thumper". i guess the Duke has made the engravings like for the Winchester
TMK46: i do not know a lot about these mines but they're apparently Russian-made. it's unlikely they emit red light and warning noise , i guess it's just for practical purposes in the game. Ethan can't walk on these mines, certainly because he's stepping over them in reality, unlike the other enemies

For the most part, you're right on all of this but for one thing: The MCX isn't made in Germany nor is it a clone of the M4. It's actually made in the United States in Sig's factory in New Hampshire and unlike the M4, the design of the MCX allows it to utilize a folding stock, or a collapsible one like that of a Sig MPX.
that's a lot of american made guns in the game , i guess the duke know how to satisfy american customers like Ethan, even in romanian countryside

Actually you're right for the HandCannon, it use 7,62mm ammo because this revolver use sniper rifle ammo.
i have finally some infos about the Wildey , it's not a so obscure gun: it was made in 1972 , and it share the name of its creator. the gun was actually built in many factories in the American Connecticut. it fires 475 Wildey or 45 Magnum. Was noticeable as being the gun of the actor Charle Bronson, he used it both in real life and in the movie Death Wish 3
Love the MW2019 reload style of some tactical reloads of some weapons.

The animations and weapons available are a definite step-up from RE7. The Killing Floor 2-style empty/tactical reloads and inspect animations are nice to see. But I wish that they made it so that the animations were slightly quicker and they all show Ethan fumbling with the magazines/weapon more often to better give off the impression that he is under stress when reloading his guns like KF2 did.

It's way cool that the devs learned more about guns since 2017 and applied their knowledge to this game, and it shows a pretty cool progression in Ethan's abilities between 7 and 8.
Man I wish if the guns in game had ironsight like previous Chris dlc..(Not a Hero) that would a be a so much fun...
I feel like they missed that opportunity. Considering now Ethan has gotten “military training”
Oddly there are no Romanian weapons in this game when it is set in Romania. Great job Capcom.
The Dragoon is based off a Romanian variant of the AK.
@@firemaker1258 It doesn't have an integrated foregrip, and secondly it is based more of a Draco AK than anything.
that's sad there is no Sadu Asalt SMGs or Dracula Machine-pistol , as well as a PÄ/MD rifle , although the Draco AK is still better than nothing i guess
It does have a lot of good eastern bloc guns though besides, like the VZ 61, CZ Rami, Draco AK, and Saiga 12.

Agreed. I was so disappointed that you can barely hear an audible difference between the starting Lemi pistol, the 1911 and the Wolfsbane (A magnum for gods sake!).

Im the old RE games no but in 7 and 8 the Albert (fun fact Is a replication of Albert wasker pistol from Re 1) Is suppressed
animations are good, but some of the sounds could be beefed up a bit. that slide release and the magazine sliding in and out are kind of weak.

maybe some of them have been left by the duke , who travels with his articles, filled of modern-day and older guns, and other guns must has been brought by Chris Redfield's commando team
The Saiga and MCX were undoubtedly brought in by Chris's boys. Everything else is pretty accurate to the area though. Ignoring the M79, which was probably Heisenberg's.

People have been comparing these reload anims to MW but I think that's an insult to MW
Nah, the animations are pretty good here, not as good as MW19 but you can definitely see the inspiration from MW19 in the animations. Especially the handgun animations. But RE has never been really gunplay focused so I don't really mind. Although the sounds are really weak, but I'm guessing that's so that they don't block out the sounds enemies might make in the game.

Animations are fine, but the reload sounds are so weak af. They sound like some kind of plastic or something like that.
