Garp is everything Hiruzen wanted to be for Naruto. Damn, I'm a Naruto fan, but Garp is just different man, he really is a part of this three kids childhood. And the fact that the three grow as pirates, as opposed to what he wanted for them and he still love them, is what makes him one of the greatest father figure character

Nobody thinks in Garp, the majority just judge him for not save Ace, but Ace always be a revel, and never listen any of Garp say to her, at least Luffy ever respect and loves her despite everything.
Everyone has their own personal sense of justice. Even luffy who never says it but instead shows his own take on it that " each dilemma is unique and you should find it out yourself". In his grandpa's case, fist of love I important. It shows that garps justice is one fueled by strong love for others.

Ace in this scene reminds me of my brother. He always stands in front of me no matter who is trying to hit me. He was my younger brother, but he would keep saying, "NO, you will not touch my sister." garp really wanted them to become marines, because he knew they will be strong and well known. he just wanted them to do it the marine way because he knew that if they became pirates, they will get a high bounty and he'll have to see them get executed one day by marines. imagine what he felt, having to see his grandson die by his own comrades, and knows he cant do anything because he's loyal to marines and in everyone else's perspective, ace is just a criminal.

Nobody thinks in Garp, the majority just judge him for not save Ace, but Ace always be a revel, and never listen any of Garp say to her, at least Luffy ever respect and loves her despite everything.
Everyone has their own personal sense of justice. Even luffy who never says it but instead shows his own take on it that " each dilemma is unique and you should find it out yourself".
In his grandpa's case, fist of love I important. It shows that garps justice is one fueled by strong love for others.
With a grandpa like that we all would grow strong as hell 😂

Ace in this scene reminds me of my brother. He always stands in front of me no matter who is trying to hit me. He was my younger brother, but he would keep saying, "NO, you will not touch my sister." I don't think I can fathom losing him. Luffy is stronger than most because he is able to keep going even after everything.

All you can do is raised them right and hope for the best. There will always come a time when they choose their own paths. Things never turned out the way Garp wanted. Ace ended up following Whitebeard and Luffy becoming an Emperor. Both would have made great marines, but Garp was proud of them both regardless.
