PAST TENSE VERBS: -ED in lookED (makes "t" sound)

  • When changing a verb to the past tense you normally add the suffix -ed to the end of the root word to make it past tense. However, the suffix -ed actually makes 3 sounds. Which sound does the -ed at the end of the verb make? In this video playlist you will learn the 3 sounds, see examples of how they are used and how to pronounce them correctly.
    In this second video the -ed sound is the -ed in looked. The "ed" in this special sound doesn't make either to "e" or "d" sound. It only makes the "t" sound.
