I have watched many DIY bars, and have built one inside and outside our home. You and your son have by far built the strongest beefiest bar yet. 😁 if you ever have an earth quake, tornado, or hurricane, you sit under that bar and you will be just fine. 😁 wasn’t sure about the painting of it, but when it was all said and done, it looks great. Thanks for taking the time to video and share with all of us. I sent this to a buddy that is playing with the idea of a poolside bar.
Lack of gutters. That area used to be the driveway so the builder did not provide them there, but I moved the fence back to expand the back yard into the driveway and make room for the grill area. Gutters are next in the agenda… literally in my home depo cart now.
No, I customize the bar top for what would fit in the space I had, and then build the rest to fit underneath the bar top. I can take some measurements and post them in a day or two.
No list, and I measured as I went. I arranged to build the top 84x34.5 out of 2x6s first, then centered the 4x4 posts under the inside 2x6s, and filled in the shelves from there

Nice job but I always think you should have the appropriate footwear are a project and that is not bear feet, please be safe I see it all the time. Safety glasses wearing flip flops. Great project.

not sure why this doesn’t have more views/likes. this is fantastic work - great job! awesome finishing touches to give it a theme, too.
beautiful work, well done Sir. love the team effort
Would be great if the tools and all materials list was included. Love the overall design!
Only thing I would say is put in the description every material you've used.

Hola! 🖐Super cool project! Way to push through the weather :D 🌧☔ Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊
Thanks! Cool user name!
@@Dadding.101 haha! Thank you, but I cannot take credit. This is what the grandkiddos call me "Grampy". 👍
Great Job!! Where did you get the round plastics you put under the bar legs?

I have the same questions as most do you happen to have a materials list and a plan? That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks
Nice! May I recommended a dusk mask brother. Especially with the pressure treated lumber. That stuff is pretty nasty on the breathing bags.
Nice work, what was the wood/materials cost?
If I recall around $350 for the lumber and screws, a little more for paint. It was at lumber‘s peak cost, so it may be less now.
@@Dadding.101 Ive gotten quotes around $1500 def gotta look into doing myself.
@@Dadding.101 do you have the plans and instructions for this?
id love to have the plans for this...

That is really cool. But I don't have the saw or sander. Can I have the measurements.
Beautiful workmanship! Do you have dimensional plans for this?
Very cool....awesome backyard bro. Unfortunately that grill would never live here in the Wisconsin Winter, lol. Where do you live?
Houston area! We get 1 freeze per year, usually not below 25 or so.
Maura Housten did a similar bar build to this. Looks as good as hers.
That’s where I got the idea, gave credit in my original post but forgot to on this one, thanks for the reminder. Just added to the description.
@@Dadding.101 Maura's build on the bar was my inspiration to get into woodworking during lockdown. I enjoyed watching your video as much. 🙂
Looks great. About how much did you spend on the materials?
The exact comment I was looking for and also a list of the lumber so I can go pick it up today lol
Love the red hair ❤❤❤
Hey where did you get the plan from or did you just do it in your head
I got the idea from Maura Houston

About the water coming off the house... 😬
Very cool indeed!
great way to show a kid how safety glasses are not needed when working with power tools
