I’m just so excited to finally have no boundaries and limitations musically and vocally. I’ve waited years for this moment, everyone has really; my family, my friends, fans, past teachers and schoolmates, industry execs… literally everyone - to be the artist I’ve dreamed about being since I was a little girl. Hallelujah was a song that I’ve wanted to sing for years and I actually wanted to sing it on America’s Got Talent The Champions but we ended up going in a different direction. Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah is the ultimate classic and has been done by so many of the greats and I really wanted to put my spin on it and join the club. I feel like this song is an agglomeration of everything I have worked for vocally in one song. I really wanted to align my progress and my heart in a song and Hallelujah is just that. It’s one of many songs I’ve wanted to always release, so this new journey is very freeing for me.

I was thinking about your first performance on America's got talent when you were 11 and i was wondering what happened to you, because, you were one of the best singers i had ever heard... I saw today what happened to your vocal chords and what you had to overcome and your performance of say something and my god!!! I'm so glad you overcame all of this, cause you truly are a blessing. Your voice is out of this world, but also, the way you bring us on a journey with each song, your sensibility for music + your incredible range is what makes you one of the best. Since the first audition, the judges knew that you would have won, and Piers told you that with other hair, another dress and other shoes... and in the second audition you sang "A Piece Of My Heart", a song that almost only Janis Joplin was able to sing, and you nailed it and no one can touch me Janis Joplin, sorry... but Piers told you that you had to sing softly, because your voice was screeching, and that song wasn't good for you (what???). In the end, you showed that you were right, and you were the winner. I was really happy for you! I don't have any talents, even if I know that everyone has talents, but until now it didn't happen to me, and at 68 I don't think my talents will come up. Anyway I am happy when I see a talented person succeed, so I enjoyed your victory. After some years you lost your voice, and confidence, but luckily for us, you got your voice, and your confidence back again, to delight us, ordinary people, with your celestial voice. This Halleluja is simply astonishing. Every time I hear your voice my tears start to fall, I can't stop them until you finish singing. Thank you! Have a great life, always remember that Jesus is with you!
