There's a way to bring kelvin back. You just have to change one of the files from like "IsKelvinDead: True" to "false" and it will bring him back. It also works in multiplayer as well. There's a video out there to show you the steps in case you accidentally killed Kelvin.
There's a method to respawn Kelvin by editing your save file, it's not immersive but the option is there if you like. There's a YT tutorial about it if you want to look it up

Can you believe the ICRC has a Twitch page for PUBG and Fortnite? Apparently, it's against the Geneva Convention to shoot downed enemies. I just find it annoying that more competitive shooters don't use the 'Down-Not-Dead' condition where you can still return fire even if movement is restricted like the seldom seen multi-player bank robbery extraction mode from the second game in the maligned Kane and Lynch series 'Dog Days'. Friendly fire in a PvE extraction mode was treated as an opportunity to bank more cash and level up, provided it wasn't too early along the corridor to the extraction point as taking fire made a player progressively drop money
