Today we're getting organised, productive and efficient with a lil tour of how I use Notion for school -- how I make class notes on Notion, how I use Notion for university and how to make your Notion aesthetic and useful!! I hope you find it helpful 💐

I agree with you about it being complicated. I used to hear so many people rave about it, but I downloaded and deleted it 3 times before I could really figure it out. It has SO MANY features it literally overwhelmed me. This video is so helpful for learning new things to do in notion i didn’t know how to make a toggle list now I do!

Notion is a good tool but don't forget that it's not end-to-end encrypted. It's not safe for private information, fyi. Other than that it's invaluable for many purposes.

oh dear I have a page with all my usernames and passwords for everything bc I forget them and its sorted with drop down titles letter so it's very easy. do you think that's going to be a security issue? I don't have bank details or anything but I'm not sure could it get hacked?
@@erin-iq8tm It’s not end-to-end encrypted, meaning your username and passwords can be breach.
@@erin-iq8tm Hey Erin, the risk with apps that are not end-to-end encrypted (e2ee) is that any employee, especially developers, can access any account and see what's there. Likewise, so too can anyone who manages to hack into their system/network. When you use an app without e2ee, you're trusting that the company will not use your info/data which is visible to them. You're also trusting that they can protect that data from cyber attackers.

The notes template is absolutely amazing. It’s like the perfect active recall, “does this make sense can i explain this to a five year old”, organized note taking system ever!! I would add a way to apply spaced repetition tho but overall SO SO SO HELPFUL JADE!! Im starting uni tom so this also came at the perfect time. I love you. Best of luck on your dissertation!

Jade, I’m so grateful that you recommended Notion!🌿 I’ve used it during my first year at university and it’s been a real game changer. I use the toggle function to make questions which makes it so easy to go back and use active recall and spaced repetition✨

I'm 31, going back to college in a week on Monday, currently working weekends with the NHS and someone told me about notion, so I downloaded it, and now I've made a table of all the courses/universities I've been interested in, made a Top 5 column to tick the 'big five' and then organised by how many UCAS points, so that I start making that application profile in a few weeks.

Wow this was such a timely video! I just started medical school recently and have been experimenting using the toggle function on Notion to phrase my notes into questions, it helps a lot with the active recall! Kind of like a second Anki :)

Tbh I found that "questions" and "summary" part really helpful in including in my note-taking in Notion. Your content, kindness, and shared how you use Notion for note-taking in classes are enough, and really much better than watching others with the same video title but is only full of aesthetics than helpful content ~ ! lol

I've just started my BA this september and it's going to be a whole new chapter in my life because I'm an international student, so basically I have to understand how the uni works when it comes to deadlines, exams, papers etc. and I think it's time to give Notion a chance. :) Thank you so much for sharing details of how you keep yourself on track. For me, the Class Notes is my favorite part, I love the idea of seeing what my notes are related to!

I hate it at first, bcs of that structure and keep thing looking and working that way I want. So yea a deleted sooooo many times and now I am starting university and I am trying to find my way to use Notion proper way - to make my studies even more easier .
