"[T]here's always the push back... why should I pay extra when I just bought the goggles?" Good point, Dan! The "push back" is because Form does not make it clear UP FRONT that the goggles are sold without being activated -- and CANNOT be activated without giving FORM a credit card and personal data like a birth month and day (which FORM can then use to identify the user through third-party marketing lists). The goggles are amazing; the premium service is great... but FORM is overreaching by not allowing its customers to skip the premium application and simply use the essential functions of the goggles (like lap count and time) after making the purchase. Some of us want a product, not a service!

Agreed. This was also very confusing to me. From all the reviews and descriptions I was under the impression, that you only need to sign up to Premium to get the additional features. With getting the credit card upfront, forcefully, of course it reduces the friction for users to sign up for premium, but it leaves a morally bad aftertaste. I immediately cancelled. AND it's very odd that you can't do that via the app and have to use the website.

Interesting journey. I`ve not tried these before, but might give em a go.... Although, I`m not that fussed about splits in the pool, and each sport I play, I`ve done the same thing (purchased data devices), only to find the focus on statistics and data takes the focus away from actually just enjoying the sport as it is.

i have the old version Form goggles 8months they are combined with Solar Sense hearth rate sensor very good. Now i have the new one. The silikon ring is made a little different then the old version and the comfort is a little bad for me. İ have much more pressure on the nose sides and on the eye. İt’s less leaky then the older ones burt comfort is little suffered. Can we use the older version rings on the new version? ı will use them both. İs very good product works for me. Thanks

I tried them and it’s nothing for me. The view is really bad (can’t look forward which often is necessary when it’s crowded in the pool).
To much tech and info, and the app is to complicated.
They take the joy out of swimming.
Don’t use them anymore - I prefer my Speedos.

I agree, without joy we have nothing, in reality imo (we're human beings not (swimming) machines/robots after all) 🙂 #JoylessSwimming 🙃
