- Keeping the CTA system clean is our top priority. CTA has a rigorous cleaning schedule for our vehicles and rail stations that is among the strongest in the transit industry, as this video will show you.
Notice: everyone in the backgrounds are wearing coats. As in they didn’t have any old footage of them properly cleaning until recent. Hope y’all maintain this level of cleanliness after the pandemic is over.
Same towle to clean every surface, good going now the germs are everywhere!
Take a ride on the Redline at night. You'll know the truth.
Eddie Gilmore what happens on the red line at night?
Anna Starr the creeps come out at night. Never ride unless you have protection 💯🤝
Merci de France !!.. thank you
That's some deep cleaning
Good job CTA!
I guess this don't include the RED LINE! I work late evening and nights on the North side but I'm a reside on the South side. Besides the Fact that they House the Homeless thanks, Redline Trains are horrible by all means. Now you have to worry about this virus along with the filth, the drug users,
Obrigado. Aqui Brasil. Tks you
Wow didn’t know they could clean the trains with so much water and then squeegee the water out
Cta if you dont fix all these escalators that been there from the 70s imma whoop ya ass
Just use a Water hose with disinfectant on every Train car and Bus!!!!!!! Let it Dry!!!! Public Transportation is Still NEEDED!!!! HIRE CLEANING CREW 3 SHIFTS!!!!!
Stay home from work or school if you sick, we don't want to catch nobodys germs.
Cover your mouth when you cough, sneeze and belching around others, so you won't get sick or catch no one's germs.
Are they going to offer discounts for customers and non customers to ride the train & bus for free, during the outbreak situation.
This should have been being done anyway, long before this virus thing happened.
Haha so true smh
I ride Red Line during rush hour and it's typically clean as a whistle. But on weekends I see stuff like, sometimes, spilt cans of yams... Also, it's not like I spend all day in stations or anything, but I've never seen station CSAs clean the turnstiles and escalators like this.
Csa don't clean
Bus seats have bed bugs too..
Because of the coronavirus
NO!!! this is everyday because that's what the maintenance employee do.
@@ms.carriebaby734 no no
That's what I was thinking
@@ms.carriebaby734 He's talking about why the video was uploaded. We all know they get cleaned everyday.
I know cta is taking action of outbreak situation to prevent from having conronavirus.
It could get worst, before it gets better.
Also we going to make sure transit agencies are staying safe, healthy, clean, and protectively on trains, vehicles and station platforms.
CTA is doing deep cleaning, sanitizing trains, buses & train stations to keep them clean, safe, friendly, healthier and efficiency.
Is public transportation going to address the public health and public safety issues anytime soon before: it gets worst again.
Transit Agency is doing everything they possiblely can to keep trains, buses and train stations clean, safe, friendly, healthier and efficiency.
Each bus routinely gets cleaned monthly, next day it's filthy again. Don't forget about the bedbugs and cockroaches on the buses
That's a lie. That is only a performance for this video. I use the CTA trains every single day and none of the trains that I take are clean, and I use more than one line. And the homeless situation is out of control, they should not be aloud in the trains, is a hazard for health and safety, some of them are aggressive. Please be serious, cleanliness should be a priority for CTA not only now because of the virus but at all times
It's 'allowed'.
And what an inhumane and myopic ( and honestly, gross) point of view regarding disadvantaged people.
@@13horsetears I have nothing against disadvantange people, acrually I give them any change I have, do you? is the organization that do not put control and you are the gross
@@13horsetears Well no one is doing anything about it except keeping them homeless, so no solutions here...
마스크 쓰고 일을 해야지
And don't forget to STOP letting homeless live on your buses and trains !!! Seen one taking a DUMP on the blue line once !!
Agreed
@Artoria Pendragon if they're creating a public nuisance or defecating/destroying city property, then yes they can remove them.
@Artoria Pendragon
For being a pig, yes. And for sleeping, harassing people for money, and all the rest. I saw a guy one time sleeping across a bunch of seats, with his pants down. DISGUSTING.
Yesica1993, I'm an essential employee, and I totally agree with you. I've been riding the Blue Line to get to my job, and on a couple occasions, I have been harassed by homeless people on the train. I had to pull out my stainless steel water bottle and point it at a guy to get him to get out of my face. It's not the regular, paying folks riding that's going to kill us; its the homeless people sleeping on the cars every single day. I thought Chicago PD was supposed to be patrolling the trains, but I have yet to see one officer on a platform or car. This deep cleaning stuff is a JOKE. If they are supposedly cleaning them every night, why do I somehow always get on a dirty car every morning: The one I was on this morning had a filthy window, and I'm always encountering cigarette ashes EVERYWHERE. Keep your hand sanitizer & wipes with you at ALL TIMES!!!

I was just reading at the CTA site about all the cleaning they're supposedly doing. They should have been cleaning this stuff long BEFORE C19! I guess I am somewhat vindicated for being a germophobe. Even before this, I always had wipes with me. I never touch the holding-on poles unless with a tissue. I never sit if I can possibly avoid it. It's clear they never clean those nasty fabric seats. I don't know how anyone can sit on them, even long before this current issue with C19. Gross!
