What's the instrument - I was googling for "Gęśle" and "Cytra" (cittern, zither) and other string intruments. I was wondering how you tune the strings, from lowest to highest. I assume diatonic tuning.

Hi Tomasz! We call this instrument gusli. In Polish it can be called Gęśle. It is a part of Baltic Psaleries family. The earliest instrument ever found by the archeologists dates back to 10th century (Opole find). If you intersted in buying a Gęśle for you I can make it and teach you how to play! @@gusliby Hi Ales! Thanks for the reply, I was looking at Gęśle Gdańskie (similar but way smaller - window lyre) and Gęśle (which is bowed instrument). You're absolutely correct with Psateries (Psałterz or Psalterium). I'm learning how to build instruments myself :) several cigar box guitars and one 11 string lyre (just a crude prototype), but I'm always happy to learn how to play a new instrument :)

its a russian folk song as well, its known under the name "Вдоль по морю" among the pomor communities in north russia in the arkhangelsk region.
