Listening with my earbuds and experiencing the most exquisite auditory pleasures! This was stupendous! Would kill to have video of this concert...😜 Fly your astral plane, Ray!
This was my first time seeing the Moody's; same tour, but in Portland, Maine (Oct. 1983). SRV was still doing the shows w/ them. I would go on to see both a number of times over the years. RIP SRV
FYI - During the Moodies show on the 6th November 1983 in Austin Texas at the Frank Erwin Center (Stevie Ray Vaughan had opened the gig) Ray Thomas was rushed to hospital suffering from nausea and dizziness. Moodies finished the show without him. He was released by noon the next day. Bad batch of acid me wonders.
At the end of 1983, my mom ( who passed away 2003 ) recorded this very same show off of the radio!! I shit you not, man! Well to be precise, she had only gotten the last 5 songs... INCLUDING this one! I myself as a kid played that portion of the concert to knowing it by heart. Somewhere over the past decades, that tape either had gotten lost or gotten eaten by a tape deck lol. I haven't heard this for at least 35+ years. I couldn't freaking believe it when I found your postings!! I looked it up as a long shot and found it!! Thank you so much for posting this show! This was my favorite concert of theirs and I saw them twice in 1986 ( Specrum & The Mann Music Center, Philly ) one at The Mann in 1993 & once in Atlantic City, N.J. in 1998.. This post of The Presnt for Christmas brought back sooooo many memories of emotions that remind me of my mom during that part of the 1980's. Thank you!!! 👊

Cool bootleg ya got here!! Brings back a lot of good memories. This tour was the first time of 6 tours
this is the most amazing live version of legend I have ever heard!
Anthony, agreed 100%! Some of the best live versions of MB's songs I've ever heard come from these so-called bootlegs.
