I was prescribed Levaquin myself before and I went and did some research before I started taking it. I asked him to change the prescription to something else like an older drug that has possibly less side effects than these new ones we have to be our own doctor sometimes and we have to look up the side effects and do some research before we put stuff in our bodies.

Anyone who trusts anything a doctor says without checking it out themselves is a fool. In my experience and in the experiences of people I've known, doctors screw up more than they fix. Also, the doctor never knows remotely as much about medications and interactions as the pharmacist, so always ask your pharmacist before taking a new med.

Quinolones - Class of Antibiotics of reserve, means it can treat very dangerous infections, like Anthrax and Tularemia and others , so it’s not recommended to prescribe those antibiotics often, otherwise bacterias develops resistance to quinolones and we wouldn’t have something to use in case of biological attack. Yes, new group of quinolones like : Levofloxacin, Moxofloxacin( Avelox) have multiple side effects. Some of new group of quinolones been taking even of market because of overwhelming adverse reactions, like Tequine. But old group of quinolones: Ciprofloxacin still relatively has low adverse side effects, but use of those still recommended not often , because Cipro - first line of treatment for Anthrax and other similar infections..!!

Anyone who thinks the pharmaceutical companies care about you are delusional.
    It’s about money.
I’m not saying this parroting conspiracy theorists.
I say this from having an understanding.
Every week it seems that there’s a new commercial add selling an unheard of drug for this ailment or that where they tell you to “ask your doctor”.
Your doctor probably hasn’t even heard of this drug unless the pharmaceutical rep has shown up selling his or her wares.
All those in the commercial are often older aged people who are laughing and playing with their grandchildren or with their wife or friends at the same time they tell you about the multitude of possible side effects.
Can cause this or that and aren’t something you’d want to experience.
    Some cause death.
Yet they are always happy and smiling.
    Think about it people.
You’re being manipulated by payed actors.

Studies need to be done. More research.
