Went to the saddest estate sale ever today.Was about 60 miles from home and saw the sign. Headed in with high hopes.Several buildings full to the rafters..literally. But....leaky roofs,rodents,dirt and filth hzd taken over. Place had been an antique shop for many years,owners passed and the buildings sat and deteriorated along with thousands of dollars of antiques and collectibles...Most of the stuff was beyond saving and the rest they were too proud of..running a dollar or two below Ebay sold comps. Place will probably end up bulldozed,lost forever.

This week I contacted someone who was selling albums at their 'moving' sale. We emailed back and forth 4 times. Every time, the story changed. I will willing to pay $1.50, sight unseen. They wanted more. The sale was today and tomorrow, Saturday. If I feel motivated, I might go by and cherry pick the albums if they still have them. It's the dark side of sourcing, sadly.
I have tons of stuff to sell on eBay. My issue is the shipping part. I can not figure out how to charge people and I end up screwing myself out of money. I do have a booth in an antique shop and I do well there

I have an extremely rare antique/vintage Pandora advertisement for jewelry that I haven't been able to flip. I got it for dirt cheap. I love the old church at the end. It reminds me of one in the Smoky Mountains.
Thought for sure you were going to pick up that Sears car carrier truck behind the box of jewelry instead of that Snap-On Aeromax, I was like wow he didn't even check it out. Amazing score on those shoes!
OUCH! Gotta tell you the haggle on that jewelry was penny wise and dollar foolish. When ya pick 4 or 5 sterling pieces in a row and someone says 5 bucks for the lot just pull the trigger! Not to mention the time saved but one little piece of sterling pays your investment back and the odds of one of the bracelets or necklaces not being hallmarked or having a missing clasp or just not seeing it because you are rushing... I know its a bit of armchair quarterbacking but I'm rooting for you making touchdowns not field goals! Congrats on the career change by the way, you are quickly becoming my favorite resell channel and I have a feeling you will be hugely successful going full time.

I have had boxes of jewelry that I picked over ten years ago and revisit only to find a gold piece signed in an unusual spot or an unsigned costume piece that I was unaware of until recently. Hard category to know everything about and even harder to pick on the fly!

items at garage sales. I find that strange.
I very rarely see it in my neck of the woods.
How do they ship items that big for $10.00, any time I sell something big it cost me way more. Especially if it’s far away.
If it’s my item it is calculated to be shipped to my address. It is often much more.
Most of the time the high price is my own fault I over pack everything. I figure the money I save on not having to do refunds makes up the difference.
