      No, absolutely not! But you have to figure out what's going on at some point if you want to add those improvisational tools into your playing

    I don't think that the G triad at 6:20 is "random". You're going half step up to E minor for a moment and you're taking the arpeggio from the 3rd, and that gives the G triad. Maybe it was a subconscious choice but in my opinion very deliberate.

      Yep. My thought exactly. The most common way of playing something "outside" is taking whatever you're playing up or down a half step

    short answer -- you don't, you hire a real drummer that doesn't #$@# all over your performance
