Hey Amanda! Thank you so much for your help. Currently in Toronto, I have my open day this sunday. Bought your resource and I have been practicing the different questions for weeks. Lets go!!!!!!! Blessings to you and Zach!
@@Amanda_kingxx Hey Amanda, I didn’t get the job, but it was such an amazing experience. I didn’t get a chance to say "hi" to the recruiters at the start because there were just so many people. Toronto had about 200-400 people today. I did manage to pop in at the end to say hi and thank them for the opportunity. Everything was pretty much exactly as you described in your resource. The only difference was that, since there were so many of us, the first elimination was a CV drop and an initial introduction. That round was brutal-about half the people were cut right away. The second activity was a group exercise. The scenario was called "Wedding Blues," where we role-played as an events company catering for a 200-person wedding. We had to tackle a list of challenges and prioritize how we’d manage them. The key was to explain our thought process and approach. The scenarios were: 1. A guest collapsed in the bathroom. 2. A VIP guest wanted premium champagne to gift to the wedding, but the specific selection was low in stock. 3. The bridal party got into a fight. 4. The bride’s dress ripped. 5. Guests received cold food (with the added complexity of a new chef in the kitchen). 6. Kids were disturbing other guests. Just like you said, there wasn’t a “right” answer. My group worked well together, and we focused on collaborating. We took turns presenting points to each other, and I offered to take notes while sharing my input. I didn’t lead but tried to foster a space where everyone could contribute. We didn’t have a clear leader-just a team that really wanted to work together, which was great. I also followed your advice to listen more and let others speak. The recruiters threw a curveball, though. At the last minute, she said one person had to represent the group. Everyone nominated me, and in my heart, I was screaming NO! But I wanted to be a team player, so I stepped up. That threw me off a bit. It was nerve-wracking, but I managed to present on behalf of my group. I had a shaky start but ended confidently and spoke pretty eloquently by the end. Still, I didn’t make it, and I’m absolutely gutted. That said, we move. I just wanted to thank you for your resource. It really helped build my confidence, and I’ll be working to try again in the next six months. Thanks for all your tips and tricks, Amanda 🙏🏾.

Really interesting explanation of staff travel. A close family member has been at Emirates for 29 years so I love using their staff travel to go visit them 😊
@@Amanda_kingxx The best bit is the priority 30 years service gets you! But I have a question - is it clear from the passenger list that I am flying on a staff discount and the priority of my family member? On nearly every flight I get the purser introducing themselves very friendly and most of them go on to ask "so which family member is it and what do they do?" I wondered if they could see the 30 years service (which is unusual on a young airline) as they always seem interested to know!
