If we follow the original story of Airborne, then James would be the only member of this tender engine squad to not be corrupted for Edward and Gordon (replacing Cleveland and Joe respectively) were corrupted after the events of Airborne, with Peter (James) waking up in time to prevent being corrupted again. Meanwhile, Thomas would actually be dead due to him taking the role of Rallo, and he died just as the plane crashed at the end of the song because he became uncorrupted just seconds before the plane crash. *takes a breath* But that's just a theory! Aftermath be like: Edward, Gordon and Henry vs James and Thomas Also, I like how Gordon is the only one to notice Henry spazzing out. Edward might be telling Thomas that he can break free, telling him that he was a good guy before all this. I also like how James has a serious face the whole time. It's like he's saying "Guys, Thomas ain't being himself.".
