They ruined Sharon's character. She used to be a bit more sympathetic & likeable back in the day & valued those she cared about but since her 2012 return she became far more snobby, arrogant & self-centred. Eastenders seem to do a similar thing with most of the long-serving characters where they got to a point that they amp up all the more unpleasant aspects of their character for some reason.
I agree. Sharon used to be really kind and was strongly against violence as well as anything criminal but Eastenders have turned her into a part time villain now and I don't recognise her anymore.
