Payne Meads why? I've seen his comedy and I truly don't get it. No hate here, just explain to me if you will why he's a living legend. Tina Fey or JLD are legends in my book for example.
You get a car! No problem mate! I consider him like that because he is very down to Earth and bold with his comedy. He is not afraid to tread upon polarizing issues since those are his opinions. For example, he can make fun of rape and Bill Cosby without any hesitation or thought of offending people. That is why I consider him like that.
Different people find different things funny, and that's fine. For example, I'm generally not a fan of "stoner humor" and very few attempts at stoner humor amuse me. Doesn't mean people can't love stoner humor; you're you, I'm me, and that cat over there is most definitely an alien scheming to skin us alive and wear our flesh like a suit, but the important part is that everyone is different, which means there's different comedians for different audiences.

he sure can but if you look at his style from before it's completely different along with his personality and politics. he looks like a sell out now. : (
well yeah, anyone can wear whatever they want, this doesn't cancel the fact that some stuff is just disharmonious. He would have looked much better with a tshirt that went to his waist, especially with this new muscular physique. More like a manly man than a dude in a mini skirt.
Isn't it fun how host asks Dave a rhetorical question about prez and then host proceeds to interrupt / interject his own opinion? Saw this coming a mile away.
Do you still smoke? Yeah, just a moment before I came out here. .....Dave was hitting the blunt before he came out. Drymouth, glassy eyed and grinning and slow. Yup. Dave was BAKED in this interview. LOL!
I didn't realize there were so many conspiracies about Chappelle. Compared to his past self, he seems more relaxed and more self-assured, he's clearly worked out a bunch, and he is very open about his anxiety and nerves. I'm pretty sure he was depressed, because I've gone through depression myself and I see the exact same differences in my current self and my past self. Another cue is the fact that he turned down a huge sum of money, because I did the same exact thing (although not nearly as much) in 2013. Sometimes all the money in the world just isn't enough, you need time to figure yourself out and to heal.
Ever since Trump got into office conspiracy nuts have been coming out the woodwork because they realized how gullible people actually are on a mainstream basis. It's like "hey, if you think Trump is a decent person then Dave Chappelle is clearly a clone!!!". And it will never end either. They're going to form a new and improved KKK i believe.
No, he is even more depressed. Like he said, fear of poverty is more stressful than selling out to “whitey, Illuminati, the man”. Like a caged wild animal, it’ll either die or give into its captor.
Wrong.... He wouldnt do what elite ordered him to do and talked to much about their sick ways so they destroyed him by making up stories in media .... Since they owned the media. They also stole most of his money .
A big part of Chappelle's message that I've always appreciated, and which is way out of fashion right now, is slowing your roll and remembering that the other is a human being too. I despise Trump with every ounce of my being but I still appreciate that message-- sort of secular-Christian.
@BADAZZTHANG IQ is arbitrary. It is just a number scale set up by prestigious universities that has zero real world application. I'm not denying in any way that Dave is a genius, but I damn sure wont disrespect the guy by talking IQ or comparing him to Kat. If it helps to get the message across of what I am getting at, I wouldnt even use IQ to compare you and I. How disrespectful would that be? You probably got skills I cant obtain, and visa versa.
Absolute legend. My second favorite comedian of all time behind Carlin, who I was lucky enough to see live 3 times. Still haven't seen Chappelle live.. My life isn't complete.
"he's like a bad dj, at a good party." (dave chappelle's characterization of the president). Dave's wordplay is always on another level. I've never heard it put so well and with such subtlety.
Love Dave. He is awesome and I like how he kept it positive. He is a polarizing dude but we will figure it out... I like that. I think he showed a lot of class.
He's not polarizing... the world has just become pussified. If Dave had this act 30-40 years ago, competing with Redd Foxx and Sammy Davis Jr. and Don Rickles, and Rodney Dangerfield, he would have fit in perfectly. Today, his words just trigger the snowflakes.
He isn’t polarizing, people are taking what he says and making a bigger deal than it needs to be. He isn’t being mean spirited or malicious. If you watched his special than it is your fault for being offended, you weren’t forced to watch any of it!
Im not sure what you guys are talking about. My comment was regarding how Dave Chappelle answered the question. He obviously has a much stronger opinion on the topic but his answer was much more positive than I expected. Kudos to him. Im not sure why this generated such responses when I just congratulated the guy for being civil.

"Nobody really talks about oxygen until someone's got their hands around your throat." That was a fucking great quote. Did he pull that shit out of thin air? Because I can't seem to source an earlier citation of it.
Dave Chappell used to make fun of the media asking celebrities what they thought about politics and now they’re asking him about politics 😂😂
where is DAVE?!
*Chappelle
I don't hear Stephen say he is "excited" about his guests very often. Dave is certainly deserving.
I really love the level of optimism and respect Dave Chappelle shows for the American people as a whole.
Dave Chappelle can wear whatEVER the fuck he well wants.
he sure can but if you look at his style from before it's completely different along with his personality and politics. he looks like a sell out now. : (
I know right who the fuck cares
Drink EnemyBlood People change. Imagine that.
the hate is strong in this one
well yeah, anyone can wear whatever they want, this doesn't cancel the fact that some stuff is just disharmonious. He would have looked much better with a tshirt that went to his waist, especially with this new muscular physique. More like a manly man than a dude in a mini skirt.
dave is so high here.... the glasses dave.... the glasses!! stoner to stoner
If you try to look through his glasses, you can see how low his eyes are! LMAO
THE FEAR OF POVERTY IS A TREADMILL “ DAVE CHAPPELLE” 🙏🏿🛫🇸🇴
"He's like a bad DJ at a good party."
That's why this man is the GOAT.
LOL!
I believe he was only Half Baked... I'll let myself out.
really? No, really?
hes talking about cigarettes
He doesn't smoke weed you idiot he's even said so. He's no drug user
Naah its called blooow
' he's like a bad dj at a good party' - love it
Now he's a bad DJ at a bad party
@@chabilihicham7136 Time to fire the DJ
One of the greatest comedians to ever grace the stage. He's an intellectual kind of a comedian.
It looks like he smoked a joint 5minutes before the show
That's why he's wearing sunglasses lol
Probs did haha
He did I'm sure
Who cares if he did
I would like to buy those kind of shirts toi.
"Nobody's gonna talk about oxygen until someones got their hands around your throat," ... that hit different now...
"He's a bad DJ at a good party." VERY WELL SAID!
that dj comment is as the best metaphor i have ever heard of this presidency
Yeah, that guy never cuts spending as people wanted.
A well written joke indeed
Stef I agree👍
itswhip Yes, a joke.
Except it's not, because it doesn't make any sense. So far, Trump is one of the best DJ's this "party" has had in decades.
"He is like a bad DJ in a good party" LMAO, God bless Dave Chappelle
He dropped the deal because the producers wouldnt let him do his own stuff, i believe he’s a consiencious person but depressed? No
Also during his hiatus he would just randomly turn up at comedy clubs to do a set so it wasnt a legit break
Wrong....
He wouldnt do what elite ordered him to do and talked to much about their sick ways so they destroyed him by making up stories in media ....
Since they owned the media.
They also stole most of his money .
7:48 loved the wisdom by Dave chapelle and Steve's reaction. That expression rivals Keanu's answer about death 2 years later
A big part of Chappelle's message that I've always appreciated, and which is way out of fashion right now, is slowing your roll and remembering that the other is a human being too. I despise Trump with every ounce of my being but I still appreciate that message-- sort of secular-Christian.
I actually think that Dave Chapelle is a genius and not only in comedy
Yeah, he is a social genius. There are some people who just have no specific lense, and see everyone for who they are.
Yup, I came on here to say precisely that. Spot on Alejandro!
@BADAZZTHANG You're an idiot.
Bro you think?
Smokin the uuuuuuhm "ciggarettes"...just moments before i went out here. Subtle
Dave turned down 50 million from Comedy Central and Came back with $100 million from Netflix. Now that’s some baller shit
"I mean you know where you got that shirt from. And it damn sure wasn't in the men's department." Just... fuuck.
"Game.... blouses"

Hahahaha 😂
its true, but it isn't funny. wth is going on? 666 @ 27s? they got to him

Kavi that ain't no dress bruh chill yo ass cuh 😂
Kavi yeah WTF
Kavi Dam Dave sold out finally
Kavi bro I was just thinking the same thing :( :(
Fuck off zygote. He nailed it.
Dave Chappelle is a comedic genius he's up there with all the greats
Very smart, cultured and humble person. Not many of those around these days... Much respect from my end
He is the GOAT
Absolute legend. My second favorite comedian of all time behind Carlin, who I was lucky enough to see live 3 times. Still haven't seen Chappelle live.. My life isn't complete.
You must see Frankie Boyle if you're in the UK or if he's in the States. Check out his clips
Say no to tall tees, Dave.
They call that a tall tee? That's a friggin dress over jeans.
He's revisiting his days that he portrayed Prince.
Pretty sure it's just a short dress.
ChannelWes "Game, Blouses"
That shirt would be great on leggings or white jeans.
"the fear of poverty is a treadmill" Dave Chapelle
Dave’s the level of famous where he can come into your home and light a cigarette and you gotta run and get the man an ash tray
No.
dave coming out wearing his night gown..
YES! I've been waiting for this day. I never knew it was coming. Chappelle is still best.
Dave Chappelle looks like JJ from good times grew up twice!

Wait? Non black ppl watch goodtimes? Cool lmao. You learn something new everyday
"he's like a bad dj, at a good party."
(dave chappelle's characterization of the president).
Good foot(obama) bad foot(trump) did you cut the video off before that part?
Seems like some people don’t bother listening to videos and simply comment...
One year ago,,,, and now in Dave’s recent sticks and stones show he’s realizing how dangerous the PC outrage culture is .
exactly
Why is treating people the way u want 2 be treated and having outrage when people r mistreated because of race, sexual preference, etc.dangerous
@@nickkelly3171 if you read enough about history you'll understand how quashing freedom of speech (and the freedom to own and carry guns) is dangerous and will lead to slavery of the majority and death to the rest.

Dave's been working out.
Matthew Stetson thinking the same thing, arms big as hell considering he was skinny years ago
He's also working on an old blues singer voice.

Was Dave abducted and cloned by the illuminati?
What makes Chappelle so great is the depth of his intelligence. There are other ways to be really funny, but with Dave, behind his excellent humor is profound and mature wisdom and compassion e.g: the SNL monologue where he accentuated fairness and optimism contrary to what one might have expected. He is a treasure and we should be thankful that he has rejoined public life. He is a true leader.
You cant really blame him for hoping for the best. I was the same way. You cant root against the pilot of your plane
What do you think now? Do you believe that people and media kind of exaggerates his bad doings than it actually is..or is it really bad after almost 3 yrs of his presidency?
@@Avikpalui i would say its pretty bad. But thats just me
@@jamesthomison4356 in what way would you say its bad...i am nt an American citizen,so i am trying to understand it from an outside perspective. Now i understand his rhetoric is quite harmful(twitter and all), but thats just words..tell me in policies, in practice, what has he done. That are bad.
@@jamesthomison4356 you see..when i see shows like this, where Stephen Colbert just constantly bashes trump. But merely on either what he has said, or random accusations. Never something on policies. And weirdly enough, why is a talk show, constantly indoctrinating people, more than the news..
