Actually yes. You could put him in the tier IX M46 Patton with the top turret so it's essentially the M47 that Arnie drove in real life.
Given that the M46 KR is kind of crap, I wish Wargaming would replace it a historically accurate M47. That would basically be the M46 KR with a better turret and some extra penetration, but everything else the same. Plus, a premium that's an actual historical tank instead of an obscure paper design would be quite the change of pace.
@@RedXlV the M46 KR is an accurate Ripper Patton. There were Tiger painted M46 tanks in Korea. But I understand what you mean.
Plus the KR is competing with T26E4, T25 Pilot, T42, TL-1 LPC
All of which have been made better than a standard M46.
@@corathus I'm not saying that the M46 KR is inaccurate. I'm saying that an accurate *M47* would be a better tier 8 premium than the M46 KR is.

Regardless how hard I try, I rarely have any fun in this tank. The Maus is mostly a distraction for the enemy team which will spend time and money to spam gold in it while the Maus can rarely fight back without firing gold as well.
That's why it has a higher winrate (HP buff + distraction allowing other tanks to have an advantage elsewhere) all while having one of the worst DPG of any non-light/SPG tank.
It's just a tactical shield that is completly powerless when the enemies are spamming 340+pen gold, even some tier 9 tanks...
It's a shame there is no way to make credits off doing what the maus does best, because it can certainly win games even if it's not the one doing the big damage all the time.
@@justinvlaun It's a shame WG have not really changed their way to identify how a player contributes to win a game.
The Maus has literally become a sponge for gold spammers. It keeps Kranvagns and VZ55 in check because they struggle to penetrate the armor.
@@sylvercloud6631 i have this feeling... A tank attracting 5 guns in a battle, allowing other tanks to circle and shot should be rewarded.
I see it in my hellcat. Fear factor of this tank... Many many times i was holding a full flank alone against 4 to 6 enemies, they were not daring to push, enough time for my team to clean the other side and flank them.
Or when a light lures a tank to a trap...
@@bassegoder Exactly, there are various scenarii which WG does not seem able or willing to detect and reward. Basically everything which involves sacrificing yourself to allow the rest of the team to gain the upper hand. Such as sacrificing yourself to take out a dangerous tank or break a strong defensive position, or like you said, distract enemies so that they focus you and expose their back to your allies.
But I suppose it is very hard to detect.
Turbo Maus is just amazing. Love making now those slow bunkers going faster, like Type 5. Still not many ppl expect you to get some positions faster than usual

32% survival rate seems to be a big difference
As a interesting thing you may not know @QuickyBaby the tracers from shells you see in the game are all client side, and so when you get "ghost shells" i.e. the tracer flying through the tank, more than likely the actual shell from the server side missed, but did not update the client to reflect as such. War Thunder has a similar issue that is much more common as the actual shells from vehicles are modeled and sometimes fail to interact with the target.

Great game, always good to see one of my favorite tanks! I will say, if I have any room to critique, that turret is most effective at a 40/45degree when face-hugging an opponent. It feels like over-angling but it's peak armor. Again you played your role perfect, I'd expect no less :)

@@morninggamer8068 when I want a more realistic SIM, WT is the go to. When I'm feeling more of that arcade style, WoT is the move. I love both games, despite both having plenty of flaws

Idk the st-i feels pretty awesome if in a defensive position. Even have multiple games with 10k+ blocked 😅
My highest blocked is in the o-ni at 7k
St-I has dog shit armour, when I load prem rounds I’m gonna pen it everywhere

the Maus may have no equal, but thats because nothing can be equal to it, as every single other tank in the entire game at tier 10 is better then it. it has to angle just to have competitive armour in this modern goldspam era, and even then an object 705A will have better armour while pointing its higher damage gun at you, and also goes twice as fast

@@PizzandCodeine i mean vents literally improves everything from viewrange, camo, reload, aim time, dispersion, repair time etc while a rammer only improves your reload. On certain tanks vents are 100% a better choice.

dude, you can't just say that there is no other tank you can put Arnie in, THERE IS. It's called the M49 Patton - why? well, Arnie served in that tank for his role in the military.

well the Manticore was out of ammo and the 60TP is quite a slow tank. There wasn't much they could have done.
the Maus needs space armor on the sides. (tracks attached on sides would be enough)
it does have spaced armour, about half way down the side of the hull where there are tracks behind it, that part of the sides is spaced, it’s only above the tracks that’s main armour.

The Is7 is still a challenge for the Maus.
I found that when I mount the Survival Improvement Suite (which should add +100% internal module durability) and combine it with the Field Mod Lightweight Mounting Points (which adds -30% internal module durability), the effective value is only 40%. This suggests that the -30% modifier is being applied twice. Conversely, if I use the Auxiliary Safety System (which adds +30% internal module durability), the effective value is 160%, indicating that the +30% modifier is applied twice. I have encountered a similar issue with the Heavy Spall Liner.
I have already reported this problem twice in previous patches, but there has been no resolution. Could you please test this issue and report it to WG? This bug significantly impacts gameplay.
so, a funny question. with the maus you are rewarded with being patient and letting the enemy make their misstakes as they try to push you... but, is there any tanks that you feel does the opposite? meaning, is there any tank/tanks that Rewards the player for playing extra agressive, or going "all in", but not to the suicide point perhaps? would love a high energy video about some of the most agressive tanks, that do well!

I do quite well in the Obj. 277 (and the Obj. 260 if u have it) for that purpose. Both are super quick heavies with basically medium tank-like mobility. Love to take aggressive positions with those tanks and fight enemy mediums with it. I think you can do the same in the WZ-111-5A as well. Those tanks synergize extremely well with the medium tanks on your team. Although all these heavy tanks have rather weak hull armor, it is still enough to be an anchor for your medium tanks. But play those heavies as traditional heavies, then you will have a bad time.
I remember I was playing in my T110E5 and I got ammo racked but I used my repair kit moments ago. I was stuck behind a rock side scraping and this Maus player was so bad he simply could not pen me. My cupola was wide out in the open but I was a master juke and they either missed or bounced off the cupola.

All tier 10s lose money.
If you want to make money, get a decent tier 8 premium.
With my m48 patton, if i want to earn money, i need to take less than 500 damages and inflicte 2 000 damages (without firing gold). It's least so that yes you can't make money reliably with tier 10, but will trying to keep my credit i actualy began to play better so you got two option in my opinion, either play tier 8 to farm credit an donly play time to time tier 10 or, play tier 10 with the fear of losing money and actually get better because of the fear of lose xD

true. You don't need arty to prevent players sitting somewhere hulldown. Before the HE big derpy guns did the job just perfectly fine. Proves that arty is unnecessary in the game and that it just should it be removed.

I have that same skin in my Maus. Looks cool, but I found those machine guns on top can block my view when I zoom in or out. Getting used to it though
I've won a few games lately by just capping when the team is yoloing and dying in a don't cap kill all fashion. Nearly had a couple of Kolobanovs out of it due to the team failing massively in the late game.

Only one tier 10 heavy having higher than 50% win rate. WoT working as designed.
I came back to world of tanks after like 3-4 years. I expected that if i could just hide my lower plate on the IS-7 then 50% of shells would ricohet. Every shell penetrated me and i could just hear the sizzle of heat ammo.
Yeah, that's never worked with the IS-7. You need to hide the hull as that's the weakspot of the IS-7.
You just show that Maus depends strongly on the team and it's mozzarella against enemy tanks that fire with 2 key engaged
how many Arnies do you have? You said its in the E3, E4, Kranv., and now Maus.
On Console Maus Speed got buffed to i think 25 kph so my Maus goes 27 kph (With a Full Build, it can do 30 kph but takes up 2 equipment and 1 consumable slot).
E100 was the most annoying thank I’ve owned, sold it a few years ago.

Nothing wrong with a super fat Maus. It’s at least one German tank that would be similar to real life, just a big fearsome thing which can almost stop an all out frontal attack. Game changer, should be.

Actually I found Maus weakness to be its gun, too many disappearing shots and insane bad rng accuracy.
Today in my badger. I bounced 0 shells. Die with 408 dmg , 0 dmg blocked, 15 spotting and nothing but gold fired at me. Armor non existent in some cases.
yeah thats why I gave up playing slow, heavily armored vehicles. They are just useless against gold and totally frustrating to play. I rather stick to quick medium tanks where I can outplay my opponents without the need of spamming gold nonstop. And I think thats real skill in the game, to be able to achieve a decent rating without firing gold constantly.
Even most gold rounds have a hard time penetrating the Badger, and they have no chance at all if you use a little of your gun depression. It's already enough if you slightly angle your tank upwards on a pile of rubble, then only TDs can penetrate you. Also, the Badger has a very accurate gun and monster DPM. You should manage to pen more than 1 shot before you die.
If you really died with 408 damage and 0 blocked, the tank can't be the only problem. There's gotta be something wrong with your playstyle as well. On which map did that happen? Where did you go? Which enemies did you face and where did you put your tank to use its strengths?
