Rebel, I've been watching you since July 2024 to help me start my ebay store. I'm so excited I found my very first TAGGIE LOVEEY! thank you for all of your advice!
I ship my blowmolds in big bubble wrap, then shrink wrap. Been shipping them that way for 15 years. Only had 1 get damaged. Shipping cost is cheaper because of no box.
Love the video, I had no idea the change on jeans. I bought a lot this fall and with getting all my Christmas listings up didn’t get them listed. I think I will wait till February to list with the new guidelines. I always learn something on your videos. Thank you.
Thanks Rebel and Robert - I hope the change will not affect me too much. I list most everything as good, even if it is excellent quality. I rather the customer find them in better condition than give me a INAD. Will have to see how this goes.
That bundle option has been there for years. But it's kind of hidden as a feature. I've only had one or two customers do it cleanly. A couple have done it through the offer system by requesting an invoice after sending multiple good offers. eBay doesn't do a good job of advertising their features.
I volunteered at a thrift shop in Florida and was surprised by the clothing that a lot of teens and young adults pickes out. It may have just been the trend at the time, but they bought the ugliest most worn out stained with holes clothing we had. I used to pull them off the racks until I realized they were actually sought after. I guess grungy is a look and probably will be forever for certain groups. I would assume some people will specifically look in the fair category to find those things.
I will leave most of my items as “good” unless they are “new” I would rather my customers be pleasantly surprised at how nice the clothes are, rather than disappointed. I sell lots of baby clothes. I say in my description on all of my clothes, that some clothing will have some wash and wear. People usually say that the clothes are nicer than they expected when leaving feedback. I’m with you on the “new” items. I always say that they “appear to be unused, and still have tags attached,” unless I buy them new.
Most of my biggest (postcard) orders have been international combined...over a year+ for me. They just have to actually put things in their cart instead of clucking buying it now or accepting offers.
eBay is going to lose money in the clothes category for sure and NAD is going to go through the roof that is my prediction. It is so subjective. I believe that eBay is being so short sighted and scammers are going to take advantage of this. We will see…
My guess is the buyter put their items in the cart and then checked out rather than buying each one at a time. I have had it happen, but I don't know for sure why.
❤😊 I have so many clothes to list so I'll see I deal with it but I try to get clothes that are not stained or anything so guess I'll figure it out as I go and everyone else to
Thanks for explaining the changes about clothing- had no idea, of course EBay never notifies sellers 😅 For the combined order- do you have combined shipping turned on in your account settings>shipping preferences? I love it although not all buyers know that because not all sellers offer combined shipping so it gets confusing.
for me to use a cross listers, is not worth it, but my ebay is still doing ok, I keep listing as its so cold out here , so nows my time. Make it gone,,, i hear you in my mind, when I get ok offers lol, and I agree about the clothes, i know why they are doing it, but I see issues too. be interesting to watch it play out
I feel ya about cross listiers not being worth it, that was my experience, but I did end up using FLYP, it's only $9 a month, it doesn't auto delist, so you have to go on it and mark it sold and then it does delist it from the others, I really like it and it was the only affordable one I could find.
We assume there will be filters added to eBay so customers can choose to only see clothes graded the way they want, but we could be wrong. It makes sense that eBay would add that kind of filter though to help with buyer satisfaction.
I think if you buy a pair of jeans and they are purposely “distressed,” then I would rate them higher than a pair destroyed from wear and tear. The waist will look different and be in better condition on factory distressed jeans than ones that are just old. Some people wanted “distressed” jeans.
I don't think that change will do anything to returns honestly. Mostly because the condition is totally based on opinion of the person selling and the person buying which can be vastly different.
Ebay's rating on clothing is just another reason I am glad I stopped posting a large amount of clothing. The grading for clothing is very subjective, and just an issue waiting to happen. They waste more time tweaking things that are fine and not enough time working on the real issues they have with the platform.

I always thought they could combine in their cart

1:07 😂 you are to funny
8:52 distressed is when you buy them new, but they look like they have holes and are worn looking

The clothing conditions are going to make listing messy, as I can’t see where a seller and buyer will have the same definition of good, or excellent.
I have had combined orders before. I believe the buyer does it at checkout and you have to have combined shipping in your store!
I was making a label for my son and ebay at combined 3 listings for him We were surprised like you
I had a combined order this weekend, too! Easy peasy! Happy New Year, you two ♡
How do you package those glass bowls to ship so they won't break during shipping?
Loved that skunk plush ❤️

All of a sudden the Woodland Bunnies started selling. I had 3 of them and they all sold.

Jeans. One is "distressed affect"; and one is "distressed from wear"

10:01 Yes!!!
Thanks!!!
Great video!
Thanks for clarifying the new ebay clothes category. Confusing?
Thank You!
Thanks for watching!
How about factory distressed?
Can you explain where you put the date in as your code? I would love it to be ‘sortable’ by search so I can organize by date
16:05 will it be just for the sellers to list condition…. Do we know if buyers will get to choose between excellent and poor?

Yep, you can grade it different and still price the same…
Hi you two
Does that apply to shoes too?
Yes EBay is right there to help buyers……I’d like feedback eliminated js

Working on real issues would be a much better use of their time.
