- I have owned two Helstons Modelo jackets for about 6 months now and thought I would provide some unbiased feedback. In short, they are excellent motorcycle jackets - especially when bought at the sale price of around $250!
I love Chromeburner. I get what I can from there.
Mate, those jackets look great. You can tell just by looking at them that they're not cheap cr@p. A[art from that, they really suit you buddy. Take care and stay safe. Des

Thank you for the review, very much appreciated you took the time to share your opinion. I have received said jacket yesterday. It is very beautiful jacket indeed, however the leather seems very thin and delicate. I have serious concerns how it would fair when it came to test it’s abrasion protection. According to Helstons website it’s only 0.9 to 1.1 mm cowhide. How would you compare it to your other leather jackets in this regard?
Hi Seba,
Thank you for reviewing my video! In terms of leather thickness, it's similar to other "cafe racer" style jackets I own. The Vanson and Dainese jackets are a little thicker, while the BMW R and Halvarsson Eagle are a bit thinner. The Spidi equivalent (which my brother has) also falls into the thinner category. As you know, this jacket is "A" rated in safety and doesn't have the top "AAA" safety rating. However, Motolegends has received good customer feedback regarding this brand. If you're planning for significant highway or track riding, you might want to consider something more protective. It's important to note that thicker leather tends to be stiffer and less comfortable. Best regards, Pete
How difficult is it to the brown leather jacket? It looks like they’re sold out
Hi - I am not sure if the Modelo is still being produced as it does not appear on the Helston's website...I also have the "Ace" it's a great jacket too as an alternative
