Love your videos. Y’all are the best for showing and explaining the importance of VDI’s. Keep up the great work. Northlake, TX

Hi Ken! Thanks for the comment and watching! VDIs are good reference and spefic to every detector. They do help us guess what the target is.
Ideally we're trying to train our ears better as the audio gives one so much more information about a target. Cheers!

It's weird seeing a tent set up that close to the water. Where we go in Myrtle Beach, only umbrellas are allowed and must be behind lifeguard chairs.

It's funny to watch people set up their tents at low tide and have to keep moving them back as the tide rolls in. Many of the beaches in FL don't have strong restrictions on tents, umbrella's, etc. (or it's ignored, either way!) Cheers!

Fun hunt. How do you set up your microphones for each other?

Hey Gary! I need to get my video done that shows the process.
We use 4 audio recordings - the Insta Ace 360 internal mics, the GoPro mics and two Tascam DL10 Audio recorders with lav mics and wind jammers on them.
The Tascams we start at the beginning of our hunt. Those record the entire time. I clap sync them once both are recording. Could be like 3 to 6 hours of audio!
The cameras only role when we dig.
I then drop onto a timeline in Davinci Resolve. First I sync the tascam audio clips to the clap markers. That gets all the main audio between Terri and my audio in sync.
Then I drop the video clips on and use an auto-sync to match the video to my audio timeline. That places the videos in the right spots all synced up nicely!
Then whilst editing I trim out the not needed audio blocks and trim up the desired videos.
Sound like a lot, but really simple!
