Thank you so much I was pullig my hair out playing Murder by Numbers yesterday. I was on a puzzle that came down to two possibilities of for a 2 block but could not see the logic so i guessed it but was not satified with taking that approach and wanted the *why* behind the solution. It turns out your video has uncovered a gap in my knowledge. I did not know that the order of numbers plays a part which is game changer for me! In the process of my struggle I did uncover a few stanard patterns for 10x10 like if you have a 34 then you can always will out 3 from the top and bottom so the effort was not a complete waste but glad for this turorial, many thanks, now I can sleep without that nagging feeling that I need to know how it works!
Great video! I was playing the picross game from the SNES, and there are some levels that doesn't guve you a clue or show your mistakes, this is really helpful :D
Yeah, so was I! Life kind of got in the way. Hopefully, I'll be back to making videos soon! However, some will be in Danish on another channel, so don't expect a full flood here.
Picross is so damn difficult! I've got the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess-themed one for the 3DS for 1000 Platinum points (as a My Nintendo exclusive game) but I don't really care as I'd rather get it before the expiration date on when you can "buy" the game passes. If only they'd make a Metroid-themed version I'd have snapped it up. Sadly, Nintendo hadn't. It would at least acknowledge, however small, that it was Metroid's 35th anniversary as well as Legend of Zelda's. But as the Zelda franchise is better known although Metroid Dread changed all that and breathed new life into the series after a flop spinoff (which I will not name as Samus isn't even in there but only appears as a boss) and a good yet little known remake of 'Metroid II Return of Samus' called 'Samus Returns' which was released for the 3DS (which is why it got so little notice as it was released at the end of the 3DS' lifespan) Samus Returns first introduced the 360 degree Freee Aim and Melee Counter concepts which Dread refined so that Samus could counter on the run.
I discovered Picross 3 days ago (I’m playing the Mario SNES version) and Im addicted, I had actually figured those strategies by myself but I wanted to know if I missed something :p Anyways I’ve almost completed the game so I will need play another Picross game coz I love it so much!
@@NintendoViking Auction got too expensive so sailed the high seas instead. Haven't gotten around to it yet though (to try it). Game is called Murder by Numbers (VN/Picross mix). Guess there are puzzles like this online to learn first as well.
@@SicketMog I played a bit of Murder by Numbers. The gameplay between puzzles took a bit too much time for my taste. I'm used to jumping straight into the next puzzle as soon as I finish one.
@@NintendoViking Ah cool to hear a small review. For me it's the opposite as I was looking at it as a VN first; despite that not being my favorite genre either (read you could enjoy the game without necessarily knowing picross). I enjoy sudoku though so guess this is next to learn once time permits. Game is waiting at that point.👍

The Devil is in the detail! Glad I was able to help.

I hope you are a champ at Picross by now.:)
Sameeeee
Thank you! Didn't know about counting method!
Cool video! The tip with the markers really helped me out
I'm glad that you found it helpful.:)
I was expecting lots more videos from you! Quality over quantity I see. 👌

@@NintendoVikinghope you’re doing okay! This was a great video and was very informative :3

The Zelda Picross is great! I have that one as well.
@@NintendoViking Pity there's only one Micross puzzle. I've never tried the Mega Picross the standard ones are tough enough.

Awesome video lots of help
Thanks, that's good to hear!
3 mintues in... Still don't get it. Looking at a videogame that contains picross though so here I am. Will have to rewatch this if I win the auction.😛
Which game is it? Try to play a bit and then watch this again. I'm sure it'll click eventually!

Great work! :) Really helpful
Thank you.:)
I still don’t really understand because I never played picross in my life
If you count 2-5 from one side, do you count 2-5 from the other side or 5-2? I tried to do it the way you describe in this video and it didn't work
Hes cute
OMG WHAT A TERRIBLE TEACHER!!
