The Captain is always responsible, even when it's not his fault. There will be an investigation to determine why it happened, and then perhaps the Captain will be held accountable, or perhaps not, depending on what they find. @@wout123100

What fell off the jet fighter was a fuel pod. Fuel pods are used when a mission require extended operations to and from base or carrier.

Those 'fuel' tanks are actually called, drop tanks, cuz like they add extra fuel storage and the pilot can get rid of it when he's used the extra fuel, getting rid of unwanted weight and drag.

She's very small and skinny, you didn't need a crystal ball to tell that wasn't going to end well, add that to the fact she was filming it, and you can almost guarantee a bad ending.
