- This video shows a Math game using the numbers 1-9 and a tic-tac-toe game board. It's super fun!!! Here is the solution for having all rows, columns, and diagonals equalling 15.

To make each game longer just give a token for each time the kids make a row of 15. Also you can make duplicate number cards to play with.

Great question...I have not explored that possibility. I'm guessing you would have to have a whole new set of numbers.

I'm confused. How will I track my #s. The cards are all the same colors. I think each person should have 1 to 9 in different colors to keep track. Using it . Thanks
It doesn't matter who is what color. If you put down the 3rd number that makes 15, you win.

Its just like regular tic-tac-toe except to win, you have to be the person that places a number to make 15 in either a row, column, or diagonal.

I found that if anyone plays a number of 5 or lower in the middle first, they can win so easily... example: player A places 1 in the middle, then player two can put any number anywhere (example: 9 anywhere) then all that person A has to do is to add up to 15 and place that number as the third number (in this case, it’ll be a 5 as the last number.)
Basically, the rule you have for 5 is plausible with any number that is 5 and lower...
However, if that first person puts a 4 in the middle, the other person can put a 7 in any space and not lose because the first person cannot put another 4 to make 15. Also if the first person puts a 1 in the middle, the second person can put a 2 anywhere and not lose because the first person cannot make 15 from a total of 3.
