This year same thing we still can’t cover in the slot, and all teams keep abusing us in the middle of that field, now we have our hope on Roby to save us. I’m just hoping we can get Maddox back late in the year and for the playoffs.

Injuries are such a random thing in football. I never understand the hate people can lump on someone for just being unlucky. When Maddox is healthy he is a top 10 slot DB. Goedert looks like he’ll be back sooner than I thought. Both of these guys are hilarious and straight up dawgs on the field. Go Birds.
Really interesting how the script got flipped for Dallas but glad he progressing well. Hope his thumb strength / ROM comes back quick but demonstrates was a serious injury (to ligaments besides the fracture). Avonte seems like he's progressing very well. As rehab dictates with light weights but hope he could return for the playoffs.
Hope Maddox recovers fully so he can not just play but but avoid being pinpointed as injury prone . This stigma can cause other teams to target him til he re-injures .
I bet at least one of these two players gets into coaching like Duce, Sproles, Celek, Barwin, or DeMeco for recent examples of former Eagles players turned cream-of-the-crop talent developers, consultants, & positional/head coaches. I can't think of another team in any sport that just recycles former players into elite-level FO/coaches like this and gets as much value and continuity from it. To me, there was never a QB factory here like Howie and them said, it's simply a leadership seminar everyday these guys are in the building together. So many great minds and selfless helpers. Eagles have been one of the most successful sports organizations since the late 90s off what those guys pioneered, you can give Andy, Buddy, and JJ and their coaching trees a lot of credit too but Lurie just knows how to run a well oiled machine and keep people happy. It didn't take Lurie long to figure it out and get the ball rolling and he's especially been great at the 'upkeep' side of things, knowing who to hire and what not when in a pinch like the rapid half-season rebuilds leading to our two recent SB appearances. When the Eagles became one of the 'template' teams that everyone else copycats is when I knew this wasn't just a phase or a short window of sustained success I think this is kinda like an elevated franchise now. Similar to when Pats could sign any team's mediocre depth and have that system turn them into above-average starters eventually. The difference is Philly is more about freedom and giving players that choice to be great for each other, while NE is more about coercing and pressuring their players with the threat of punishments and consequences if they make mistakes. Everyone knows the rest of the league is wary of giving ex-Patriots players a shot if they didn't succeed there, so it's kinda where a lot of careers just die for a myriad of reasons that don't always point to anything that player did/didn't do. Eagles can walk their dogs without a leash and as soon as the Pats stopped going deep in the postseason every year they no longer have the incentive structure to keep their system running. Their dogs get loose and get euthanized at the pound. Nobody wants to put their body and mind through what those coaches up there do. That loser Chip Kelly tried the Belichick method and our entire team was dead in the water in less than 2 full seasons, and in a SB within 2 seasons of having a first time NFL HC in Pederson and a backup QB (Foles) that got treated like he was a POS by every other org he played for.
