First of all thank you so much. Truly awesome spreading the Grateful Dead vibration and history. Never stop💪🏻 Two favorite shows I attended in 1982 New Year’s Eve Oakland’s Henry J closing show US festival 10:45 am opening Play’n into Shakedown Sizzling hot in and out All the way to Satisfaction encore in front of over 250,000 people in 100 degrees. Don’t get me started {🔥}:=}
Ah, The Greek Theater at UC Berkeley, such a wonderful place for a GD concert. They started playing three day sets of concerts in 1981 and kept coming back each year for several years. Thanks for posting DayJob, hopefully 5/21/1982 will follow shortly. As I was there all three days, I’m going to wait and listen to the three shows in order, reminiscing that great time in my life.
🥵 Scorching hot show & day- 1st set, first hour(!) of 2nd are 💎amazing… then the Harley rolls into the Phil Zone, LOUD throttle, the adrenaline explodes 💣 wild Space, a very lit Lesh rrrrumbles into The Other One, show hits peak after peak… Phil stomps the Satisfaction intro, and Brokedown sends us home. Bay Area Prankster Magic 🚂 🚀💧
Talk about a wish list of a second set… if the first set wasnt bookended with Shakedown and Let it Grow, this would be one lop-sided, backend heavy show. Not a lot missing from theSecond Set of Deadhead fantasy. If I could only time travel to all the shows they played at one particular venue, I think it would have to be the Greek. For JGB, i’d take all the Warfield shows. Amazing show n quality! Ty.
I hadn't explored this Scarlet>Fire before.....and it is smoking. Totally unique
Greatest setlist ever told ♉♈♒♎🕉🔥
Excellent SBD 👍🇺🇲

Great show. My favorite Scarlet/Fire. Bob really shines.
Nice call on Shakedown by one of the tapers.

82 a very underrated year. Just 1 show for me. Philly.
81-83 was a transition period. Then 84 happened.
Just getting into 82. Solid playing.
Thanks
5/23/82 is 1 4 the record books
Grate choice! Grate show! 82 has always seemed, to me at least, a year that gets lost through basis of comparisons by so many. Funny little anomaly.
Weir/Garcia dynamic duo. 🍍
@@erincarey6014 that they were!
Got introduced to this Scarlet/Fire Samson via David Gans’ GD Hour many years ago…still have the tape and dug it out earlier this year…tight stuff

If u want to learn how to play like Weir listen to this show on repeat for a year locked in your room with a guitar. Grateful for your choice mix.
Totally! It's pretty rare to hear Bobby so far up in the mix for an 80s show, and his playing is amazing.
Yes bro. Love his harmonics here. TLEO is a great example of Bobby filling spaces.
Bobby's Shakedown Street.... amazing!
My favorite Shakedown

Beautiful day for "Eyes" and a rockin' "Other One" 😎🌚🎸✌
Wow, that one was a mind ripper. I suspect that they had a little help from their friends that evening.
Allison from Santa Cruz was looking especially beautiful that day.
