    Very nice Brian, I do the same process when I use the picture frame hangers. I also use tiny felt pads to stop any scratching/ wall marks

    Nice job. The blue instrument faces add a touch of sparkle.

    Nice build. I remember my grandpa having something like that when I was a kid. Of course I had no clue what the gauges meant back then.

      Oh yeah! They would make awesome Christmas presents! The gauges from KlockIt are inexpensive too. Thanks for checking it out!

    I’ve seen those for years but never actually saw a video of someone making a “station” for them. That’s an easy project that would be fun to do.

      Absolutely. It’s so incredibly simple to build but I’ve always thought they looked cool on a wall. You could, if you wanted too, get really carried away and design a more elaborate station. It was fun! And my kids like checking out the gauges as they change through the day.

      GarageWoodworks you’re right about the design. I’m already thinking of a possible Green & Green style station. Maybe sometime in the future when I’ve got some time and want a quick project.

    That looks really nice, Brian. I think I'll make something just for the barometer insert.

      Of the three, the barometer is the coolest to monitor. I don’t think I realized how much the barometric pressure fluctuates from day to day. Or even in the same day. :)

    Cool, it’d be interesting to keep track of barometric pressure.

    Do you plan on making more? Just wondering why make a template of you can just use your paper copy directly onto your workpiece and just sand to the lines

    • @GarageWoodworks
      @GarageWoodworks  6 лет назад

      That’s a great question. I don't plan on making another of this design, but consider this: it’s much easier to shape and smooth a 1/2” thick piece of plywood than a 1” thick piece of cherry. With no template you’ll end up with more work. Plus, if you make a mistake it’s just ply. And if you ever decide to make another... 😀

    No keyhole are you crazy? Instagram will freak. Well, at least that one guy, lol. Great simple project. Nice to see some pizzazz is something that's normally kind of boring and the blue faces are a really nice touch.

      Ha! I’m trying to forget about the keyhole guy. :) Thanks for stopping by to check out the build.
