Filmfare awards were manipulated, Rishi Kapoor openly accepted he purchased Award for Bobby for himself & Dimple Kapadia, Yash Chopra also purchased awards for Deewar & Sippy lost award for Sholay, Hum movie producer purchased Filmfare Award for Amitabh & himself. Rakesh Roshan did the same for Kaho naa Pyaar hai & Krish. Karan Johar did the same for My name is Khan. SRK openly told on Filmfare stage tht he tried to buy Filmfare award for Bazziger but was denied by Khalid the jury head of Filmfare.

In the artificial world of show business, such people are very rare.The versatility shown by Pran saab in doing different roles with ease, is itself proof of his superb acting ability. The whole episode of the 1972 awards has shown how the jury and the Filmfare people have been very unjust for reasons of their own. The credibility of Filmfare Awards has suffered to what extent, only the film industry people know very well.

Sirji frankly speaking I was never impressed with the awards. But was interested only for the fact because you could see all our lovable actors of those years. They were always fixed!!! Now I have completely forgotten about filmfare awards! Sad.
Greatest irony ....majority of us have never even heard of this movie baimaan , let alone the songs . First time hearing it here. Amar prem and pakeezah ....and their songs ...iconic and legendary. I agreed with you 200% sir. PAKEEZAH music ki Sholay thi, hai aur rahegi. Iske music ka door door tak koi muqabla nahi hai. Filmfare awards shayad bikte hai. Yaad hai Sholay ke saath bhi yahi hua tha. Sholay ko awards nahi dekar khud Filmfare kangaal ho gaya. Matlab aap samajh gaye honge. Aur na jaane kitno ke saath yehi kiya hoga. Dharamji ko bhi kabhi is layak nahi samjha (Satyakam).

This is the first time have heard this movie, called Be-Imaan, and have not heard even one song of this movie. While Amar Prem & Pakeezah both were gems, so sad that the jury was totally blind to these two absolutely masterpieces. Reasons only the jury of that time can clarify.
