Preston you are being very practical with spending the money on just the capabilities you need for the targeted mission of the weapon platform. It sounds like you have a mule deer (and down) rifle that you can shoot well out to 600 yards but focused on 300 yards and under. Good podcast!

Great video. Up here in Canada we are not allowed to use suppressors so I would go for extra barrel length and maybe a short hunting muzzle brake depending on the caliber.

Another great and interesting podcast! One question about your wall covering in the background. Why are those bullets seated so deep in the powder space? It drives me nuts looking at that.😂
Great podcast, Great cartridge. I have a question. I have a 300 wsm that shoots 150 grain interbank bullets. (Handloads). About 3000fps at muzzle. Will pthis combination handle bullets elk out to 300 yes with a good broadside side . Groups my landlords very good.
I could really use your guys help on figuring out what cartridge and rifle i should look into getting, im looking for a rifle to get me back into the hunting seen and need a 1 and done rifle and cartridge for both mule deer and elk i have 2000$ budget for just a bare rifle. Will be hunting in Washington state.

Antelope is the sole reason my wife won't eat wild game. She was 5 months pregnant and that mature buck was eating sage brush and he stank up the entire house.

Thumb says 18 inch 6.5prc, i just LMAO!!!! I like the prc but u just neutered it. Not even watching the whole video on how you justify it. 308 or 6.5 creedmoor, DONE. Dumbest rifle i own is an 18inch 25-06 😂😂😂😂
My 18" PRC shoots 143 ELD-X at 2800 fps which is about the same as a 24" Creedmoor. With my 8" suppressor on it, they are about the same length. Putting the same suppressor on a 24" barrel makes it really hard to hunt with.

For running can a shorter barrel is nice and that’s what he has it built for so it makes perfect sense. I don’t run cans on hunting rifles so I run 26” barrels on my magnums for that velocity, both work it’s just a personal preference question.
