Nice it makes it look not too hard, but my main concern is the side curtain airbag system, should I unhook the battery before removing the headliner I have a 2012 Accord
We haven't worked on your exact model of car yet, so difficult to suggest the method. With airbags, if unsure you can disconnect the battery, however they usually only go off via sudden stopping of the car/impact or via power touching the wires. Or tampering with the airbag mechanism itself. Disconnection of the battery should increase the safety. However best to do a little more digging around for information regarding this to make it a safe environment for your self.
Good job 👏 you make it look simple thanks so much im so worry how to go about it. Guys never use gum is bery messy i have to get a new headliner bcos i mess the old one. With gum .
I drop headliners for the PDR guys at my job and its a easier with another person helping (especially putting it back up) we don’t remove it from the car though, just drop it all the way and let it rest on top of the seat headrest. Just enough for them to be able to reach hail dents on the roof. Its a good skill to learn. Can look a little intimidating but it’s not once you do several. Mini vans can be an absolute nightmare imo though! A lot more bolts/clips/screws to find and take out!
@@ibarra8249 start with your grab handles, sun visors, and overhead lights/sunglass holders, that type of stuff first, all of that is what mainly holds up your headliner. Then once you remove them, you can remove your A,B,C posts. Do not start with a VW, mostly all of them require a special tool for the grab handles. Chevys and fords, mazdas, them are all simple to do. Practice on a small sedan. If you need to get to the posts, a lot of cars are held in by clips. It may seem like you’re going to break something, but you just have to rough house it. Its a little difficult to describe but start with the grab handles, driver and passenger sun visors, and then anything attached to the headliner like lights, then it should be pretty much loose. If you don’t care about creasing or anything (which carvana didn’t stress for the most part) once you get all of them things removed, you can kind tuck and fold the headliner over the posts, it COULD crease it though depending on the quality of the material. Its real simple and easy once you’ve done it a good amount of times. I could drop a headliner in 15-20 max if needed. Its a lot easier with 2 people though. We’d have 1 person sit up front and one in the back. Hatch backs and SUVs aren’t a good starting place. Something like a chevy cruze or mazda 3, ford focus, them smaller compact sedans are a good starting point. But they all come down and go up the same for the most part. We would even drop half of the headliner if there was a dent up in the driver/passenger side or the rear, same deal. Taking a trunk off is also simple (we had to do them if it was an suv or hatch back because it was easier to get the dents out or access the roof with the trunk being off the car. You can do it bro. Just be confident in your work. Best practice is hands on experience. Youll never retain information by reading it online. You gotta go do it yourself for the best experience. If you’re working somewhere where it’s necessary and being trained, tell them, to let you try and walk you through it if stuck. Do not just sit there and watch. Im telling you that’s a good way to not learn/retain any knowledge. You got it bub 🙏🏻 good luck to ya bro

Front passengers door is easier, bigger opening. seats laid back and shifter into D. And watch out for the shit quality plastic console as they often are perished/ brittle.
