This is very helpful! I was using a mic on a wired earphone and it didn't work, but this has assured me it will work when my xlr-1/4 jack adapter arrives. Thank you!

I am glad it helps. The truth about the headset microphones is they use a different input jack than those on the GO:KEYS On this machine, it is strictly one jack for headphones, and one jack for the microphone. Let me know how it pans out for you!

Hey man, loving these explainer videos on the go keys 5 👌. I’m about to get one and have a quick question for you. Can you use the Bluetooth on the go keys to connect to a wireless speaker with a Bluetooth input? If so, would it be any good with latency etc? Thanks again, Nic 😎👍

No Sir 😢 unfortunately you cannot connect directly to a wireless speaker. The only way to pull this off is to have a wireless microphone that enables you use the transmission system as a transmitter into the speaker. I will make a video about this to clarify how I do it. But you cannot do it directly from the keyboard into a speaker. You can however use other systems like a phone to beam the sound into the keyboard speakers using bluetooth. Make sense? So the short answer is no. 😔

@@phillc thanks for your reply. No worries, I’ll have a look into the wireless transmission options. So you already do this? It’d be great to see your setup 😎

You able to get any decent volume out of your mic? I have the gain max'd out, and the piano sound totally overpowers the mic; tried both my Samson and Shure; basically if I'm playing (with our without accompaniment) I can't hear vocals at all. (I'm listening through headphones). The manual actually shows a TRS jack not TS (which is weird); not sure if I'd get more volume out of a TRS or not.

@@islandtony5009 the trick is to use the mixer functionality to lower the keyboard volume and boost the mic volume. Menu and mixer 👍

Another quick question - my go keys 5 there is no Bluetooth midi detected from any of my devices (Bluetooth audio is there and works fine); and when connecting to iPhone, iPad or MacBook midi with a cable isn’t detected either (and audio over usb also not working); do any/all of those things work for you? Mine came with version 1.0.3 I upgraded to 1.0.4 no chanhe

@@islandtony5009 You should have basic MIDI to use the keyboard as a controller for your DAW. You should also have audio over USB. Bluetooth MIDI doesn't work with this.

@@phillc Thanks got it figured out - had no idea not all usb c cables transmit data some are charge only - had to buy a “charge/synch” cable. And yes no BT MIDI even though the Roland site and manual suggests there is (same with FP-E50 piano)
