How can I configure the CT timer/counter to show a flow rate? I have two flow meters and I want to take the difference of the flows and display it as flow per hour? For example, fuel flow for a diesel engine?
MP pulse meter products seem more appropriate than CT counter products. Please visit our website and refer to the related information. www.autonics.com
For position control, encoder A and B phases and a counter (CT Series) are used. For measuring RPM, encoder Z phase and pulse meter (MP Series) are used. Please refer to the following video. ruclips.net/video/kWak6G1FqKk/видео.html And please refer to the pulse meter maximum value monitoring function (High Peak).
Solid state Output turns ON at the same time as the contact output terminals (No. 1~5). It is used to drive a larger-capacity relay(more than 250VAC 5A) or to directly input an NPN open collector to PLC.
؟If I had a motor that would operate at intervals ... and I would like to install an electronic device for it that records the number of times per day and the total time or the number of hours or minutes of operation ..... What type of device or sensor is used to do this?
A sensor that detects the rotation state of the motor or a signal that the motor is rotating is required. One counter and one timer are required to display the number of revolutions and operating time. The CT series itself does not have a recording function, so it seems that it needs to be monitored through RS485 communication and recorded on the PC. (Please select CT series products as RS485 communication option.) Please note that our software DAQMaster provides this function.
I want timer for automatic chain link fence machine can you suggest me at first the motor has to run say 6 seconds then a delay for 5 seconds then again the motor should start and run for 5.5 seconds and the process should repeat is there any timer with these setting
Thanks for your comment. CT Series has a flicker timer function. You can set on time and off time of timer. But you can't set more than 2 times. (Just one on time and one off time) Please visit our website(www.autonics.com) and get more information about it.
Dear Autonics, I have bought your EPM50S8-1013-B-S-24 absolute encoder with SSI interface for position control. But I want to get data using a microcontroller such as Arduino for my application. I have contacted your technical team but my efforts went in futile. All they said is they only know to work with PLCs. But nowhere in your datasheet, you have mentioned being worked only with PLCs. Kindly address this issue and help me in this regard.
Thanks for your comment. For the SSI output type, a dedicated controller is required. (Dedicated controller capable of receiving SSI input) It is impossible to implement with a general product like the one you mentioned. If there is no dedicated controller, it is recommended to use the PN output type even if the wiring increases. Thank you.
@@AutonicsCorp Thanks for your reply. Since SSI output works on RS-422, I have used RS-422 transceiver(MAX 490 microchip) in between Arduino and Absolute encoder. But still, I didn't receive any output.

Greetings, I'd like to make a reset option for ps1 and ps2 parameters The reason why is I want to make the counter starting point value of 720, then I make 2 spins to the encoder(Cloakwise spin), now my value would be 1440, I have set the PS1 with that very same value, which means it will proceed to activate the C output mode (which restarts the value to the start point value, in this case is 720), after restarting the counter to its starting point, I spin the encoder once, but this time to the opposite direction(Counter cloak wise), reaching the 369 value, and then my counter will reset to its starting point, but there is a problem; When I reach 1440 the PS1 LED lights up, but there is no reset of the value, it keeps counting to the infinity and beyond instead, but if I spin it in countercloakwise until I've reached to 360 it will restart to its starting point, how can I make ps1 & ps2 restart after both have reached specific values? Thank you for your time
Thank you for your comment. The reset operation of the CT counter always works only when PS2 is reached. It is not possible to set both PS1 and PS2 to be reset.
@@AutonicsCorp I found out that it actually possible, ofcourse not from the parameters, by wiring the out1 innto a relay to the reset pin which is 12 it will reset the counting value, thank you anyways

Hi, may i know what is the polarity for output A and output B? Positive or negative?
CT counter has non-contact output and contact output.
Non-contact output is NPN open collector output. Thank you.
Hi, may I know how the maximum speed (rpm) for the position control can read?
For position control, encoder A and B phases and a counter (CT Series) are used.
For measuring RPM, encoder Z phase and pulse meter (MP Series) are used.

Solid state Output turns ON at the same time as the contact output terminals (No. 1~5).

Can I count yards/ Mtr by this Counter Meter?
Actually, the counter doesn't show the unit.
By setting the scale value for the input pulse, it can be counted in yards.

can i connect any encoder to this controller
If it is an incremental encoder(open collector type), it can be used.
