Fascinating and just the sort of material I've been working with when studying this for my MA. Thanks for uploading this talk and pointing me in the direction of Prof. Henze. One thing: The text at 56:00 in the Book of Jubilees is ch 10, not ch 1 as in the video. Exciting stuff when you realise that there's a vast corpus of material out there which gives the context to familiar scriptures and unlocks our understanding. With the rediscovery of the book of Enoch in late 1700s, combined with the DSS, it's really shedding light on just how much we've lost from a rich tradition of demonology in Christianity, merely having a paper-thin version. Thankfully this is being redressed through archaeological findings and scholars who are not afraid to work with such material. Thanks JSUoA.

Is the understanding of Second Temple understanding of demons, afterlife, etc from Persian origins does that make them true? Why were second Temple rabbis and Jesus so taken up with them if they weren’t in Old Testament thinking and belief, are they literally true. What happens when we die then?

Shalom, this is exactly what Yehovah has been showing me, and I asked Him to show me it was His Word who is truth was leading me and not my own falsehood and He led me here. Thank you very much. Death came by our refusal to trust Elohim's truth, His Word, and trusting our own falsehoods, calling Elohim a liar and being more and more separated from Yeshua and His Ruach Hakodesh until we cannot see His truth through the blindness of continuous lies against Yehovah's Word who is truth. Evil only becomes a part of us when we choose it, but if we trust Yeshua, Yehovah's truth, in the sincerity of His Ruach Hakodesh, we receive His help to overcome and be truly set free by Yeshua's blood, His covenant and mercy, and the grace of His Ruach Hakodesh so we can be reunited to Avinu through His Word, truth from which we separated from and receive the fullness of His life in us again so we can be invited to the marriage of the Lamb. An eternal union that will never be broken again
Wow the last statements says Christianity and Christ lacks victory over demons. What a sad paradigm. The very word says “He came to destroy the work of the devil.” He either accomplished that mission others didn’t. 1John 3:8 Version Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
Enoch, the seventh generation from Adom, prophesied that when the Word of G_d, The Torah/Tanach would be translated into other languages it would be translated wrong to the point it becomes a lie. Enoch's prophecy was correct. King James the Sixth of Scotland was the highest ranking leader (Lucifer) of the Freemasons at the Lodge of Perth and Schoon. Later he became King James the First of England and brought Freemasonry with him. He commissioned occultist to rewrite the Bible to his liking so that he could deceive and control the masses. Freemasonry was started by King Nimrod. Christianity is Mystery Babylon the Great incognito. G_d warned us about Christianity thousands of years ago. Enoch also prophesied against the Christains. Enoch prophesied that when the real Messiach comes that he will deny knowing the Christains.
No offense meant but English kind of sucks as a language. There are many different languages around the world where the speakers of those languages know what the words mean but there are or was no correct words for them in English so they just inserted words that would make sense. Some times many different words with different meanings in other languages will be translated as the same word with the same meaning in English. Other times the same word with the same meaning in other languages will be translated as different words with different meanings in English. English and Christianity also has a bad habit of grouping many different things under a one word catchphrase such as "demons" and "worship". The Christain's Bible is just a very badly mistranslated and corrupted version of the Torah, the Real Word of G_d, and the Hebrew Tanach with a lot changed including names, a lot added and a whole lot taken out. Every thing that G_d said not to do Christianity did. If you read the scriptures when G_d gave the Torah to Mosche and the Hebrews/Jews on Mount Sinai, G_d told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to never veer to the right nor left of the Torah. Never! G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to never accept anybody else's religion. Never! G_d warned us about Christianity thousands of years ago. No Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus nor John nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew Alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. G_d encoded the Torah, the Hebrew letters and the Hebrew language so there is much hidden in plain sight.

The Talmud in berachos 6a speaks about demons that live in tombs... So I think he’s wrong a lil bit. Demons do live in tombs according to Talmud bavli
