Remy, good on you for knowing when to say it isn't worth it and play it safe. You're still out sending 90% of us so keep the content coming and we'll keep watching and living it thru you.
You rule Remy! I greatly appreciate how calculated you are about assessing the ratio of risk-vs-reward in regards to your career. In my opinion, your gnarly, supreme backcountry riding is the true bread and butter magic sauce of what makes you YOU and what us fans love to see from you! 🤙
Remy's candor about assessing risk and reward is exceptionally rare and valuable. Thanks for being willing to share that with us. Honestly, it's worth as much if not more than any how-to video.
Remy is my favorite RUclipsr now that I've grown up. He has such a calculated approach that I strive to mimic in my own riding whereas when I was a kid I just rode for fun and wasn't very good. It's about fun but also challenging yourself in a calculated way.
Massive respect for knowing your limits and not doing the stuff you’re not comfortable with. Jumps have been way way too big in every sport for last 10yrs.
Way to go Remi! I loved the progression and the honest admission of your fears and how your worked on them. I admire both your courage and your ability to NOT get caught up in the moment and do something that is not worth it for you. Being able to step away from something infront of all the other guys who have figured it out, was the smart thing to do. Descretion will always be the better part of valour. If we don't see a back flip here and there in Squamish, we will NOT be disappointed!
6:18 with the drone flying past.. swear dude mtb is the bomb.. pushing limits, its like sci fi playground these days defying gravity with new features and toys. just badass
Love your videos. Also glad to see that even though you may do some insane downhill stuff, that there are times that you're like "nope" and move on. Quality video, man. My therapist would say that you're overcoming a traumatic experience. So you're facing your fear. That's worthy of praise.
Yeah Remy big respect doing a flip after so many years like you say you never lose it just having the confidence to do it again wow that first road Gap is an absolute beauty and a monster
Awesome riding ! Good work showing others it’s ok to not ride something if you are not feeling it is also important content. Riding every day is better than making a poor decision.
We are here because you ride hard and ride smart. Congratulations on the back flip. I struggle with them on the trampoline much less the bike! Great job on making smart decisions and riding so well.
Notable remy! Un respetuosa y sabia la decisión de no tirar el Metal jump, hasta los profesionales a veces le temen a hacerse daño y tirar un salto... Cheers from 🌶️🇨🇱
Incredible video Remy! Thanks for taking us along on your journey. It was awesome to see you assess risk vs reward, practice to build confidence and send those backflips so clean after the 5+ years! 👏💪🔥🤘
Great video Remy, so enjoy how you bring us into the buildup to the big tricks. Loved the segway into the bike park to gain the confidence. Then the human “nope” on the stuff you're not feeling. I bet the backflip after the injury felt great! Keep it up buddy!
As usual high quality videos! Amazing riding style, very good on assessing the situations and how to take the right decisions.. Keep your videos coming in Remy! and keep shredding..
So pleasant to see you riding even in POV! Agreed about rear brake in the air xD can't stop doing it gdmt! And it was smart decision to not jump these metal ramp because when you don't have enough confidence - better to lister yourself! Thank you for the video!
Sweet job on the backflips, mate! You approached it with your methodical mindset and Executed perfectly. Also, well done on your risk assessment. No need to injure yourself, with wind playing havoc on the course. Cheers!
Nice flips - so precise - which is what you want of course. Glad to see you can make the call *not* to do something. Even if technically I'm sure you have the skills. I always think those big jumps have to be so precise in terms speed and pop. Judging that would be so tricky, and judging how much the jump will compress you at that speed would also be tough. Even with a tow-in would be tough the first time or two. Tow-ins are good of course, but when a big jump like that is first built - someone has to go first, without the benefit of a tow-in or even seeing someone else go off. And like you said, the consequences can be pretty scary. It's part of the reason I'm not a big fan of competitions like RB Rampage anymore - it glamorizes something that is so crazy dangerous, with a constant push of one upmanship.
@remy I gotta say I love watching your videos so much more than tricks/backflip/slopestyle videos. Simply because I can put them on full screen and imagine myself on those trails - something I can't do with an 80' backflip double. So keep at it with your main video style! :)
Awesome work.! Just one question. You said you should never rear brake in the air… are you referring to holding them on or a brake tap to level out the bike if you’re bit nose high!? Would like to know your reasons.!
Hi Remy, when you talked about not air braking do you mean acually pulling the brake or just having your fingers over it? Feel like I would never be able to jump if I was death gripping the bars lol. Great vid as always!
Remy, good on you for knowing when to say it isn't worth it and play it safe. You're still out sending 90% of us so keep the content coming and we'll keep watching and living it thru you.
I'm pretty sure he's out sending 99% of us. At the same time, showing how to progress safely.
No 99.9999999999% be a realist
Agreed, glad to see Remy pushing himself while also holding back 🙌🏼
All of us

I appreciate that!
Yes Remy! Your presicion even shows in your flips! I'm so stoked to see you get back to it after such an injury!
Thanks! best of luck!
Remy's candor about assessing risk and reward is exceptionally rare and valuable. Thanks for being willing to share that with us. Honestly, it's worth as much if not more than any how-to video.
Thank you!
you are right but thats kinda common sense
It’s really inspiring to see that even the top echelon of pro riders like Remy still feel the same nerves as the rest of us. So stocked for you!
Did you see the new intro? What do you think? All filmed with the GoPro Hero 11 Mini and normal. Gets yours discounted here: we.tl/t-kRo3kthUuB

You know exactly what you have to do. Your style is amazing. I can learn so much from your Videos. Thank you Remy
I appreciate that!

What a good week my dude. Glad we survived!
Massive respect for knowing your limits and not doing the stuff you’re not comfortable with. Jumps have been way way too big in every sport for last 10yrs.
Totally understand your reasoning, sometimes it's just not worth the risk. Chapeu for the backflip, very cool to see.

“Remy! Since when do you flip!?” Haha you had everyone stoked. Great riding as usual Remy and the bike looks sweet as hell.
Tip of my chair seeing you conquer the features step by step. Moment supreme is to see you quit on time. Great call and great example for any rider 🤘
Yeah Remy big respect doing a flip after so many years like you say you never lose it just having the confidence to do it again wow that first road Gap is an absolute beauty and a monster
Bravo Rémy 🔥🔥🔥
Nicholi Rogatkin might be the best hype man in all of sports. That dudes energy is the best!
Awesome riding ! Good work showing others it’s ok to not ride something if you are not feeling it is also important content.
Riding every day is better than making a poor decision.
Well said!
Always the standard for class, style, and now rationalism. Much respect.
We are here because you ride hard and ride smart. Congratulations on the back flip. I struggle with them on the trampoline much less the bike! Great job on making smart decisions and riding so well.

I'll do both
Yeah Remy!
new intro is perfect 👌
Hello! very nice video :) watched from start to finish! success!))) p.s. it felt like I was driving a bike, it's very cool!
Super vidéo 👌 🔥 🔥
Good riders can estimate them selfes if they feel not sure to do something they're not doing it untill they feel ready💪
Good job!!!
Where did you get that awesome coil spacer? Custom or off the shelf? Thanks for taking us along for the ride as always!
f**k that metal ramp...you killed it!
intros HARD 💪💪
I love that color. My favorite.
Flyin! like an eagle. Is twisting the bike at take-off a timing technique, a visibility of the landing technique or is it just a cool thing to do?
Letssgo🤝 just landed my first one this summer
Hell yeah! Greased it first try
i think you should make a how to brake with dylan stark
Light work
Awesome work.! Just one question. You said you should never rear brake in the air… are you referring to holding them on or a brake tap to level out the bike if you’re bit nose high!? Would like to know your reasons.!
You should hold them but not rear tap
That poor guy losing his feet from the pedals in the background at 14:49 ! Ow !
