As someone who is trash at the game, I think this is a bad idea. Epic doing this would drive so many people away from the game who have gotten used to turbo building already. New players will also struggle to build effectively. This this will also basically destroy the entire competitive scene. Maybe no turbo building should only be in the upcoming OG mode.
i mean yes and also no like if you cant build then you need to put effort to be better. but they could remove turbo building from casuals and not competetive things like ranked and cups because the game is just so advanced and removing turbo building could make a lot of the fanbase stop playing fortnite.
@@oddogd4652I was thinking just that, maybe adding another gamemode could be great but I think it's even worse as it will split even more the community... Maybe LTM? But epic doesn't do that anymore and people may not even play it (gamemode and LTM)

@baconfacegamer792 no? remove turbo build in OG mode only permanently and keep chapter 6 the same so everyone is happy. Sweats can stay in chapter 6 and get their earnings in peace, and new/old players and casuals can enjoy OG.
horrible idea if you have brain, it’s going to make the mode very unplayable if epic actually did that and it also would look extremely clunky because how long we had sprint, mantle and turbo build and how we’ve gotten used to it
i'm pretty sure turbo building was introduced to help the newer/worse players catch up so i personally think removing it would widen the skill gap even further but it would be fun if epic ran a few tests to gauge feedback
I don’t think you should remove turbo building but I do think that they should put a delay to build each piece. And then make the structures have more health. I do think that you should be able to hold down the button but it should place builds slower. Being able to hold down and spin around makes it a lot easier for new players to get the hang of. I do think maybe the first build you place should place instantly without delay but then have a delay between the builds like .2 seconds but the structure should have more health.
I think removing turbo build or adding some sort cooldown between pieces would reward the players that actually have game sense and understand positioning rather than people that know how to just spam builds all over the place. It will bring back that battle royal experience that made Fortnite so popular
It always pissed me off back in the day how the completely removed double pump because “it hurt new players” but buffed turbo build and eventually added edit on release to builds
because double pump was extremely powerful if you think about it and also people were complaining about it until epic eventually removed it, buffing turbo build and adding edit on release was very much needed because it gave so beneficial to combat
@ yeah, nobody was quitting the game over double pump, so many people were leaving because of how out of hand the skill difference in building skill got
@ idk man, learning double pump takes a day and mastering it would take a week vs learning piece control and edits takes years of practice at this point
Was just going through your channel watching your videos this was great timing. I've said for a while that turbo building and editing is bad. The point of building was to navigate or build forts. Zero build just feels empty without that, but everytime I play builds I get boxed without knowing what happened. They'll never remove it sadly because of the competitive side of fortnite. Competitive Esports hurts every normal gamer.
When I play normal battle royal I can't even get 5th place but when I play zero build I win like 3 outta 5 matches. I hate building, it makes me feel like I'm hiding from the fights. I'm truly no good at building anyway.
@@kugsyy but they did sth to get better and u did not, which results in your complaining, do sth about it and stop crying that someone is better than u, ,,I cant do it, so remove it.'' your philosophy is interesting
As someone who quit during chapter 2 and rarely comes back to play a bit more. I would love to see this happen. I enjoy the building mechanic because it's what makes the game unique. I enjoyed the mechanic while build fights were still the main thing, but piece control and fast edits are just so boring to play imo. I tried adapting but it just isn't fun to do. If they really want to bring OG Fortnite back they should remove turbo building and the sprinting and mantling, if they do so I believe they can also remove or at the very least lessen skill based matchmaking and bots because the skill diff will be less. The only reason bots and sbmm currently is necessary is because the difference between noob, casual and tryhard is just too big. Atleast back in the day a noob could rarely win games by playing safe and picking up a cheese kill on the last person alive. A casual player could outplay a sweat if they played it smart. Now if you play as a casual player vs someone who spends multiple hours a day in creative you just lose and there is nothing you can do. Do I really have to play a gamemode where the mechanic I like so much about the game is removed just because I can't even understands what is happening when fighting someone who plays this game multiple hours a day.
I think they could also add a mode where you can only build one or two buildings per second and where you can only edit buildings that are already finished.
I suck with or without turbo building so I don’t care either way, but I like the way you explain everything and seem legit like you care about the community.
I think just making a new mode without turbo building, or only having turbo building off for the og mode thats coming up would be the best option. It would satisfy both sides.
Epic and many other live service games prioritize new and casual players. Removing a (what would be considered at this point) core part of the building system would impact the newer players somehow, and Epic likely wouldn’t want that. I’m not saying they wouldn’t do stuff for the long time players, but I think they plain and simple just want to maintain or increase the player retention as much as possible. This change could be a gamble.
the bot problem could also be solved with removing turbo building bc the whole reason they added bots was bc the skill gap got too big. I think one of the charms of og fortnite was that more people would make it to the end game and knowing everyone in that game was a real person trying to win.
conclusion 2 - i have no life and relentlessly practice and bully those who cant Not everyone has all the time in the world to practice like you can and get really good. If I have to practice a game for hours a day just to compete, the game isn't good.
I can't condone destroying building, there is a world within building itself that raises the skill ceiling for the game. Most people speak just from the perspective of the game being too hard, there are actually a whole lot of people that are good at the game though, and I think they would say that it would completely eliminate the reward for trying to get better. I think there would be more players, including myself who would find Fortnite to become a snore fest overnight with such a harsh change. Instead, introduce a gamemode that has Turbo Build off. It's not a bad idea in theory, I imagine that most players would all of a sudden play about at the same exact skill level at least for a while. Fortnite BR Lite edition, a lightweight version of the normal gameplay loop which players more like the OG game. OR another idea is more of a survival meta (new gamemode)... increase the health of brick and metal significantly (defensive mats), make wood harder to break but easier to shoot through and damage players (offensive mats) and allow for 500 wood still which encourages some offense (this would solve the OP shotgun which the majority of building\editing revolves around), readd the steel wall items so people can use it to attack people's box's. And make it to where players can only have maybe 100-200 mats for brick and metal. Weapons with extremely rapid firerates would be encouraged at this point to deal with the thick support of defensive builds, but also discourage extremely aggressive\toxic builders that have a bunch of offensive skill. This would force players to play a far more conservative playstyle but also encourage aggressive playstyle depending on the weapons you have and the situation, it would slow the game down substantially and allow people of varying skill ranges to play the way they want. It would make weapons like rocket launchers and meta items more valuable and take more priority with who wins fights. They could make it to where needing at least one escape item or mobility item is mandatory. It would also pave the way for AI Bots to actually be able to serve a purpose in Fortnite, since they already kind of play like this to begin with.
exactly. Removing Turbo building won't solve all the factors that go into making Fortnite fun for beginners. High ground retakes, phasing through builds and other techniques will definitely still exist and WILL become harder thanks to there not being Turbo building. The Skill Ceiling would go even higher. Removing editing (like other comments said) is just crazy. Looking back, Zero Build was the best way they could have done it for those who don't wannt build as port-a-forts are common in that gamemode. The concept of gunplay with cover still exists in Zero Build. Removing Turbo building would also destroy the muscle memory of many players (including myself) meaning that it would be a chore to learn the timings for builds and whatnot. In my opinion, they should keep things the way they are (build and zero build gamemodes) until someone comes up with a proper solution. Building isnt even all that difficult if you put in just a little bit of time. Binds are customizable making building easier and top players/ Good players don't even build fight anymore since third parties are common. Learning to box and play around boxes is all you really need now.
@@mariothemii what do you think of my gamemode idea? 100 metal (stronger long term health, harder to shoot through) 100 brick (stronger long term health, harder to shoot through) 500 wood (modified to have higher initial health and difficult to shoot out, but easier to shoot through and tag players) steel upgrade item (gives offensive players using wood the ability to still attack people's boxes from protected angles + it would only work for wood and the player can only hold 5 at once) Spam meta with rapid fire weapons would be less annoying, but more of a part of how to take walls, it would discourage players that play too aggressive all of the time. In Trios or Duos, one or more players might be given the task of creating a defensive position, while the rest attack, this would serve as a way to fall back if an attack on someone's box is unsuccessful. It would also encourage players to only box up before the opponent is capable of using rapid fire weapons on their builds. Meta items, rocket launchers etc and grenades would punish overly defensive players... rapid fire weapons would punish overly aggressive players. C4 and charged explosives would be a way to stop people that turtle the whole time. Because materials become scarce for defense, this means loot combinations and playstyle have to adapt to the circumstances which could raise the difficulty but also lower the skill difference in lower skilled matches. Building fortifications inside POI structures and houses etc that are made of metal\brick would allow players to maintain a healthy supply of defensive mats in later endgame circles and would be worth fighting over. This is how people used to play back in the world cup. Siphon could be encouraged, fast shields and items that help recover HP or Shield while fighting may also be encouraged.
The problem with building and editing is that it was never intented nor designed for battle royale, this mechanic was designed with the original StW in mind
Finally someone says what ive been saying for years, its the reason old fortnite was better because the game was simple and casual everyone played it. Bring back the daya where everyone just built a wall and a ramp.
I think adding an ‘upgrade build’ option like they do in save the world would be great. Sweats can still do their 360 turbo build double entendre whatever, while players who like to play at a slower pace can make indestructible forts with double upgraded metal. Think ‘fort’ nite
This is a way of approaching a problem called "too bad to do something = delete the thing" I know the approach from rcoket racing There are many casuals wanting to delete something because its hard. You just want to be good without effort. Genes are a part of who you are, you cant deny that. Its just an approach of "im nit capable enough, so instead of learning more, i will take the thing that makes others better so that i have a chance". It happens in rocket racing too. There are many casuals crying out because "the mechanics are too hard"

I've said this before(on another channel), but I don't think fast building is the problem. I think fast editing is the problem. Almost all of the advanced building techniques involve editing to get good and safe peaks, and honestly they are really hard to master or counter. Highground retakes and piece control all make extensive use of fast edits. Whereas building a box, ramp pushing, 90s, etc. are moves that are effective and simple, but are innefective against someone who can do quick and consistent edits. I think fast editing should be nerfed, not building. My idea is to restrict editing to finished build pieces, which will make piece control and advanced build moves a lot slower. It also means that if you get boxed you won't get immediately edited on and eliminated. Additionally editing will need to be more strategic as you won't be able to quickly reset a piece. Although I think just removing turbo building from editing will also do good. You make good points, but I just don't think building needs a nerf.
if im not mistaken i'm pretty sure epic did remove turbo build briefly at one point I think it was late chapter 1 early chapter 2 area and there was a lot of community backlash.. I doubt they would do it again. Also the better players will just adapt. Removing turbo build if anything is just going to affect the worse players since they have more trouble adapting to new metas.
Removing turbo building would (i hope) incentivize the practice of building FORTS instead of whatever people do now. Season 3 is really the last time I ever saw ppl settle down in one spot and build a fort and I think that’s something we need to bring back
if they remove turbo building so much ppl would get angry plus without turbo building people will still be sweats Edit: plus people will find a way around it like setting up a auto clicker and turning it on everytime they wanna build a lot or something like that
exactly what im saying sweats will always be sweat just like how if ppl with low ping had to switch to high ping, they would just adapt to the high ping and be good again
Keep turbo in ranked, but turbo is locked in casual, meaning that you don't HAVE to be gods gift of building to win, but you have the option to learn if you want to, via creative or ranked.
Something that annoys me is Epic treating ranked and casual as the same. Changes like this should be made in casual, and more advanced stuff with turbo building can be kept in ranked. Casual is supposed to be fun and accessible, ranked is supposed to be for competitive people who’ve mastered the base skills of the game. There’s no reason for Epic to treat them as the same
I played when there wasn’t any turbo building and yeah I can confirm the building was literally just for making forts lmao these streamers ruined the game by being an echo chamber for anything epic does.
Pretty sure they tried to reduce the time it takes to build and the community went into an uproar with guys like Myth leading the way to get it reverted which it was maybe a day later.
For the OG mode they should remove turbo builds and make all weapons tap fire. They should also remove all the new movement stuff they added (tac sprint, mantle, slide etc)
that is a terrible take. Games need to listen to their fanbase. We as the buyers control what devs do and dont do. We are their source of money after all

I do think removing turbo building would be a good idea, but I remember they did something similar back in season x were they nerfed the turbo building and everyone hated it so I'm not sure if they would remove it for the OG seasons
A really old gamemode I thought was a good substitute to this was Ground Wars. You could only hold 30,30,30 mats I believe and was the antithesis to zero build like 2 or 3 years before i actually became a thing. My issue with builds nowadays is I dont feel like trying my ass off everytime I get in a fight to shoot some kid, have them box up, have to take their wall, anticipate edits and shots, take the cone/floor then kill the player, in my opinion all that does is often delay the inevitable because most times if you beam a kid push his box and dont get 180d youre gonna win that fight.
1. aint nobody doing quadruple edits in regular games besides people who are clip farming. it doesnt add much benefit so might as well just do a triple edit which almost anyone can do. the only scenario i can imagine this being useful is when ure exiting ur own box from the top and u have a cone inside ur box. 2. cranking 90's isnt advanced in any way and if u really cant build then just stick at the bottom and collapse it, theres a lot of explosives in this game. a lot of people dont even do 90's in regular matches since it uses a lot of mats which u could just use for tarping n shi. on top of that if ure cranking 90's in a regular match ure probably gonna get lobby focused or sprayed from behind. 3. they once reduced the turbo building and epic games got so trashed they reverted it immidiately. 4. it doesnt take years to be able to build simple structures like 90's, boxes and edit smart. u dont need much more for regular games, aint nobody doing creative highround retakes with 1500 mats. 5. the turbo building doesnt work great in stacked lobbies since theres a lot of delay. so ur argument about watching top tier gameplay doesnt really make sense. also in top tier gameplay most people arent doing crazy builds, theyre just quick and have optimized crosshair placement. 6. if u have to click for every build to be placed then that would also make full auto weapons get nerfed. well, even with turbo building its hard to hold a person spamming so imagine the hell without it (yes i know u should play agressively against spammers). 7. building fast is a part of fortnite's identity. its very risky to implement a change like that. its been around for quite a while now. 8. it would affect regular, average players more than competitive pro players. remember qrei? yeah, people can always come with optimized strats to deal with whatever meta it is right now. but a lot of regular people would just straight out quit cuz they will not want to deal with learning ''new mechanics''. theyve spent so much time practicing it'd be really frustrating to ''lose'' ur progress. 9. creative clips would become boring and its also a big part of this community. 10. if u had to click once per build then people would just use their scroll wheels to place builds faster. 11. honestly i understand where ure coming from but as i said, this change was already implemented and people did not like that at all. i know its hard to balance such a thing and epic are probably trying to do something beneficial to the whole community, especially with weapons like charged shotgun which worked kinda good to make people build less. theres also a lot of explosives and spammable guns which are a total pain to anyone trying to build, of course. 12. clickbait title.
I agree building has always been overpowerd ever since turbo building was introduced there was no counter to it aside from junk rifts mechs infinity blade etc
I tried to get on Fortnite recently and I literally could not enjoy the game because of how high the skill ceiling was. I loved a mode they had before where it was super low builds - you only had 30 or so of each type of material so each build you placed really mattered. It was like zero build plus the fort building aspect that really fit the game. I think that's the route the game should have taken
If turbo building was never added, people would have more better utilized for true effective defense and not just build down walls everywhere like a madman, if there was also a smaller mat cap like 250 for each material, people would be resourceful and actually had mastered builds and bases the way Epic intended from the get go.
For me removing turbo build in all modes (ranked included) would be ideal, the skillgap imo would be almost the same but it wouldnt be based on building, but more on the positioning and the timing of builds, and i think that would be more fun even for the competitive scene, and the pubs would be a lot better
Its crazy to think that fortnite is still the most played game in the world all these years later, and the simple truth is that 90% of the players dont play simply because of turbo building. If they removed that one feature I guarantee the player base would double or even triple overnight. In its prime fortnite was a shooting game with some building, now its a building game with some shooting. Yeah ik skill issue but not everyone has 10 hours a day to play, in fact 90% of the player base doesnt have that so keep the fast building for the 10% that want that but everyone else wants a more casual experience.
The issue is too many people have gotten to used to turbo building for them to implement this change, you saw what happened when they changed the turbo building delay in season X and epic got flamed so badly by EVERYONE so it they remove turbo building then its gonns be a disaster that makes everyone stop playing
In my opinion, I would test no turbo building in ZB for a week and see if people like it. If it removes the fun of zero build then take it back out. Maybe just make there be a 2 second delay per builds. I believe that they should keep builds for the people that enjoy them, but put limits to builds in ZB, to make it where building in ZB is just to get up a house, or to block damage, like the old days.
It would be interesting if they allowed you to go to older versions. Back to Unreal 3, same graphics, same everything. I would love to go back to chapter 1 exactly how it was, not just a reboot. If they let you somehow go back in time to any season I think it would bring so much to the game. The only problem is that people wouldn't want to play the new stuff.
My biggest issue with the building is that it makes so many items useless lol. If two people who are really good at fighting go against each other all the gimmicky and fun items become useless and they’re a big part of why fortnite blew up so quickly. Removing turbo building literally fixes everything wrong with the game and it’s not like any current players would quit if they changed it lol

the pro scene would be based a lot less on mechanics and more on aim and game sense: i think it would be harder to be a pro if it was removed than if it remained simply due to the fact that the average skill gap will narrow, meaning you have to be a lot better to stand out.
Turbo building should be restricted to competitive like rank mode and many more but keep the regular build mode to the regular Fortnite experience so that the map could be made easier

I think turbo building is a must for build mode. If it’s too advanced for you, then go play no builds. The whole point of turbo build is to eliminate the redundancy of placing each build. If you don’t believe me, go try and play a game with turbo build mode off. It’s trash. You’ll turn it back on immediately. While I find it annoying that some people have zero ping and can take all your walls, you can’t just try and nerf the game because some people live closer to the server. Also if anything, eliminating turbo build will increase the skill gap because building will be even harder which would make build mode nearly impossible for your average builders against better players. I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not with this take.
No dumbass cos I wanna be able to build a fort in final circle and not get boxed and edited in by some 12 year old sweat. So turbo building removed would be brilliant
Almost like you didn’t watch the video. First, he already replied to that point. Building is an intrinsic part of what makes FNBR and he disagrees that people shouldn’t be able to experience the normal mode solely because they can’t catch up with the extreme build meta and though you are correct about how turbo building fixes the redundancy of placing each build his point is that as a consequence turbo building has created a skill gap that is too wide for new and casual players to close as times gone on. I don’t know why you are talking about ping either that wasn’t the point of what he was saying. The point is that the introduction of turbo building has created a skill gap between causal and competitive players that is increasingly getting wider with each passing season. And no. Removing it will not increase the skill gap further as mentioned in the video, such a dramatic change will force everyone to adapt to the new meta like a clean slate.
@@mrscribbles2693 skill gaps are widened when doing things require more buttons and more clicking. @@LawyerPullssorry, I don’t understand how removing turbo build, a mechanic with a very wide skill gap and long learning curve, will be worse for the skill gap for casual people who struggle with building because of turbo build? His point is that by removing a feature which new people struggle to catch up to if it all will allow casual to compete with those who will now be adapting to the new change.
@@mrscribbles2693 There's the problem with your statement right there... "Casual people who struggle with building BECAUSE of turbo build". This is just false. Casual players are the ones that actually benefit the MOST from turbo building, since they are the ones that struggle with the building already to begin with. And for the people who are already insane at building, nothing will change. Good players will just have to click a few extra buttons but will still be doing the same builds and edits they always do, and casual players will just struggle even more to try and keep up. Turbo building was arguably one of their best updates of all time. Just because a few people can't build, doesn't mean the game should make it so everybody has to suffer. Like I said before, if you've got a problem with building, go play no builds or play a different game. The build mode should always be evolving in a way that makes the game easier and more enjoyable for the user. Taking away turbo build would do just the opposite.

Remove turbo building in OG mode but keep turbo building outside of that
I don’t think you should remove turbo building but I do think that they should put a delay to build each piece. And then make the structures have more health. I do think that you should be able to hold down the button but it should place builds slower. Being able to hold down and spin around makes it a lot easier for new players to get the hang of. I do think maybe the first build you place should place instantly without delay but then have a delay between the builds like .2 seconds but the structure should have more health.
they should just make a mode for turbo building an non turbo building, like how they have builds and zero builds
I agree, it would give everyone what they want
I think removing turbo build or adding some sort cooldown between pieces would reward the players that actually have game sense and understand positioning rather than people that know how to just spam builds all over the place. It will bring back that battle royal experience that made Fortnite so popular
Make it an option to choose when you play BR, turbo build/no turbo build

It always pissed me off back in the day how the completely removed double pump because “it hurt new players” but buffed turbo build and eventually added edit on release to builds
because double pump was extremely powerful if you think about it and also people were complaining about it until epic eventually removed it, buffing turbo build and adding edit on release was very much needed because it gave so beneficial to combat

You might not realize that Epic actually did something similar in Season X when they removed turbo building, and I remember everyone being against it.
This change could be a gamble.
its not even a gamble it would be a guaranteed player loss
the bot problem could also be solved with removing turbo building bc the whole reason they added bots was bc the skill gap got too big.
I think one of the charms of og fortnite was that more people would make it to the end game and knowing everyone in that game was a real person trying to win.

100 metal (stronger long term health, harder to shoot through)
100 brick (stronger long term health, harder to shoot through)
500 wood (modified to have higher initial health and difficult to shoot out, but easier to shoot through and tag players)
steel upgrade item (gives offensive players using wood the ability to still attack people's boxes from protected angles + it would only work for wood and the player can only hold 5 at once)
Spam meta with rapid fire weapons would be less annoying, but more of a part of how to take walls, it would discourage players that play too aggressive all of the time. Siphon could be encouraged, fast shields and items that help recover HP or Shield while fighting may also be encouraged.

im not pro non-turbobuilding because i think skill gaps are a good thing, but if fortnite feels like back then without it, im here for it (at least in og mode)
Exactly, they did try to remove it btw it was actually in ch1. No positive feedback form that change. I hope they never do it
i agree with this video, but im not glazing
Removing turbo building would (i hope) incentivize the practice of building FORTS instead of whatever people do now. Season 3 is really the last time I ever saw ppl settle down in one spot and build a fort and I think that’s something we need to bring back
if they remove turbo building so much ppl would get angry plus without turbo building people will still be sweats
Edit: plus people will find a way around it like setting up a auto clicker and turning it on everytime they wanna build a lot or something like that
exactly what im saying sweats will always be sweat just like how if ppl with low ping had to switch to high ping, they would just adapt to the high ping and be good again

Interesting I’m wondering if you built yourself in a box how you would get out. To at could be a cool mode
A really old gamemode I thought was a good substitute to this was Ground Wars. You could only hold 30,30,30 mats I believe and was the antithesis to zero build like 2 or 3 years before i actually became a thing. My issue with builds nowadays is I dont feel like trying my ass off everytime I get in a fight to shoot some kid, have them box up, have to take their wall, anticipate edits and shots, take the cone/floor then kill the player, in my opinion all that does is often delay the inevitable because most times if you beam a kid push his box and dont get 180d youre gonna win that fight.
personally i think of movement should come back, and they should keep turbo building, but add no turbo building as a mode
1. aint nobody doing quadruple edits in regular games besides people who are clip farming. it doesnt add much benefit so might as well just do a triple edit which almost anyone can do. the only scenario i can imagine this being useful is when ure exiting ur own box from the top and u have a cone inside ur box.
2. cranking 90's isnt advanced in any way and if u really cant build then just stick at the bottom and collapse it, theres a lot of explosives in this game. a lot of people dont even do 90's in regular matches since it uses a lot of mats which u could just use for tarping n shi. on top of that if ure cranking 90's in a regular match ure probably gonna get lobby focused or sprayed from behind.
3. they once reduced the turbo building and epic games got so trashed they reverted it immidiately.
4. it doesnt take years to be able to build simple structures like 90's, boxes and edit smart. u dont need much more for regular games, aint nobody doing creative highround retakes with 1500 mats.
5. the turbo building doesnt work great in stacked lobbies since theres a lot of delay. so ur argument about watching top tier gameplay doesnt really make sense. also in top tier gameplay most people arent doing crazy builds, theyre just quick and have optimized crosshair placement.
6. if u have to click for every build to be placed then that would also make full auto weapons get nerfed. well, even with turbo building its hard to hold a person spamming so imagine the hell without it (yes i know u should play agressively against spammers).
7. building fast is a part of fortnite's identity. its very risky to implement a change like that. its been around for quite a while now.
8. it would affect regular, average players more than competitive pro players. remember qrei? yeah, people can always come with optimized strats to deal with whatever meta it is right now. but a lot of regular people would just straight out quit cuz they will not want to deal with learning ''new mechanics''. theyve spent so much time practicing it'd be really frustrating to ''lose'' ur progress.
9. creative clips would become boring and its also a big part of this community.
10. if u had to click once per build then people would just use their scroll wheels to place builds faster.
11. honestly i understand where ure coming from but as i said, this change was already implemented and people did not like that at all. i know its hard to balance such a thing and epic are probably trying to do something beneficial to the whole community, especially with weapons like charged shotgun which worked kinda good to make people build less. theres also a lot of explosives and spammable guns which are a total pain to anyone trying to build, of course.
12. clickbait title.

I think removing turbo building would be bad doesn’t change the problem of sweats just makes everyone worse
i really agree with you even though i can build really good i think removing turbo build would actually be good
Turbo building was meant for beginners if not mistaken so keep OG building in Ranked
I want slow building. 1 second cool down between builds. Building was meant to build forts like we used to in the early seasons
If turbo building was never added, people would have more better utilized for true effective defense and not just build down walls everywhere like a madman, if there was also a smaller mat cap like 250 for each material, people would be resourceful and actually had mastered builds and bases the way Epic intended from the get go.
The only thing I could see being a problem are weapon spam would be crazy cuz its much harder to place builds
For me removing turbo build in all modes (ranked included) would be ideal, the skillgap imo would be almost the same but it wouldnt be based on building, but more on the positioning and the timing of builds, and i think that would be more fun even for the competitive scene, and the pubs would be a lot better
Turbo building being removed would be amazing and just make the game better
PLS DONT FREAKING REMOVE TURBO BUILDING IT WOULD BE SO BAD
In my opinion, I would test no turbo building in ZB for a week and see if people like it. If it removes the fun of zero build then take it back out. Maybe just make there be a 2 second delay per builds. I believe that they should keep builds for the people that enjoy them, but put limits to builds in ZB, to make it where building in ZB is just to get up a house, or to block damage, like the old days.
Hope someone with inside connections to Epic finds your videos, and actually take them seriously.
taking away turbo building is going to make a lot of people mad but it can build skill
Fortnite should bring back a mode that disable turbo building, the game will be refreshing and more rewarding than now.

If you take away turbo building, not only would building be less enjoyable for everyone, but the top builders will play better, and the players that can hardly build already will suck even more. It most certainly would increase the skill gap believe it or not.
@@LawyerPullssorry, I don’t understand how removing turbo build, a mechanic with a very wide skill gap and long learning curve, will be worse for the skill gap for casual people who struggle with building because of turbo build?
Casual people build but they build ramps instead of quad edits and the Tower of Babel like competitive players do.
I play the game from the first week or the second day on 3 platforms and 4 respectable inputs, I never walk away from the game more than 4 months, I play in two servers, I can confirm your point of view 100% and I totally agree with the gap between players is just Unfair.
i think if they do it in the og mode it could work removed, but otherwise its far too late and there would be too much of an outcry
They need to add a build delay too not just remove turbo building
Even though I’ve been playing since the beginning, I wouldn’t mind it at all if they removed turbo building for non comp modes
as someone who played before turbo building, (and is decent but nowhere near "good" at quick building and editing) yeah I think the game would be so much better and more fun (and balanced) with the old system back.
I played without turbo build untill chapter 4 because I didn’t know it was a thing
